Anna sighed before replying back to Kyle. It seems like Kyle is not gonna stop asking her until she tells him who wounded her face. "It was Rebecca. But don't worry I got it handled. Please, don't interfere."
If it was another matter that doesn't include Rebecca or Juan, Anna wouldn't mind Kyle helping her punish those who harmed her. But unfortunately for Kyle, Rebecca is involved and she wants to handle Rebecca by herself.
Kyle reached out and held Anna's hand, and he said, "If things not going according to your plan or if you need any help at all, please, don't hesitate on asking me. Remember that I am here to help you all the way."
Kyle sounds so sincere that it made Anna's heart skip a beat. Such words and Anna wants to believe it. If she only knew what kind of future she has now, she would be sure if she can believe the words Kyle just said to her.
Now that everything is changing, there is no guarantee anymore. There are only a few things that she is sure of what will happen soon, and that would be that person entering her brother's life. With all the matter that has been happening around, she can't find the time to search for that person. And now, she is getting anxious than ever.
Anna smiled. "I will rely on you. But I do hope that you will be there when I need you." Uncertainty is clear on her tone, and Kyle couldn't help but feel sad. Anna is still having a hard time to fully believe in him.
How can he prove himself to Anna? Is there a way for him to know what really happened to her? Kyle is desperate to know what kind of event in her life resulted in her to be like that. If only Anna can tell him everything he will surely what to do. But Anna is not saying anything which is making it more difficult for him.
"I also hope that someday that you will fully trust me, Anna." It hurts him every time Anna shows him that she doesn't fully trust him yet. In the years of him living on earth, this is the first time he is having a hard time making someone to believe in him, to rely on him.
He always has it in his way, but now, it's different. It looks like that the Gods had enough of him getting everything that he wants in just a snap, and now, the Gods are giving him one of the yet hardest challenges in his life.
"Woah, Woah, Woah. Who told you that you are allowed to touch my daughter's hand?" Arion suddenly appeared in front of Anna and Kyle. Both of them were startled to see Arion standing in front of them with a deep frown plastered on his face.
They were to engulf in their own moment together that they did not notice Arion approaching then with such an expression on his face.
"Father, can you just let Anna and Kyle have their own thing? Go on, and flirt with Mom if you are jealous." Aaron said in an annoyed tone. Before his father he came into the picture, he is the one who used to get in the way of Anna and Kyle. But now, he is tired of doing that because everything he does is not going to work.
Earlier was his last attempt of getting in their way, but since it did not work, he is done. All he can do now is to remind Kyle every now and then that he should not hurt his sister's feelings. What Aaron wants now is for his father to stop meddling with Anna and Kyle because it is going to be just a waste of energy.
Hearing that Arion has mixed feelings. The way his son called him 'Father' sounds too distant, but he is also happy because he can sense that there is progress between him and his son. Just a few more push and everything will turn out fine between them.
"I'm tempted to do that, however, your Mother is not exactly willing to let me flirt with her. And also, why would I let this punk have your sister so easily?" If Aaron is not going to stop Kyle, then he, their father, will do the job all by himself. He must do whatever it takes to give Kyle a hard time.
Seeing how stubborn his father is, Aaron sighed and said, "Fine. Do whatever you want, but don't forget that I reminded you that what you are doing is just a waste of time." In these kinds of moments, it always Aaron that stubbornness runs through their family no matter what kind of situation they are in.
"Arion, can you overreact? Anna and Kyle are just holding hands. It's not like they are doing inappropriate things in front of us." Mary spoke in an irritated tone. Her husband's overprotectiveness towards their daughter is getting to her nerves now. She understands that her husband is only afraid of whatever might come between Anna and Kyle, but he should not be overly protective of Anna.
How can Anna learn by herself if Arion keeps on meddling on how should she handle her love life? Everyone learns from their experience, and Arion, out of all people, should know that very well.
"Arion, I don't know what your problem is, but I can assure that my son is better than any other man you have ever met in your entire life." In the eyes of the public, Layla is known for being the type of person who does not like to show off to other people. But what she is doing now is the very opposite of the public thinks of her.
"Better than any other man? Oh, please. I know a man who is better than your son." Arion said with full of confidence. And this statement of his somehow managed to make Kyle feel a bit nervous.
"Oh? Who might that be?" Layla asked, and there is already a plot brewing inside her mind, like making sure that the person Arion knows will never meet Anna, not even once.
Silently, Marcus already has an idea who his son is talking about, and he couldn't help but shakes his head in disbelief.
"It's me, of course," Arion said in a matter of fact tone. There is no better man in the world than him. "If your son wants to be with my daughter, then he should be better than me."
"Wow. As in wow. I really want to kill you right now." Out of all responses that Layla was expecting, she did not expect Arion to reply in a narcissistic way. She knows that Arion has a narcissistic personality, but she did not expect him to go that far.
