"Why did you the two of you have to go that far just to end that guy's life?" Marcus asks in a concerning tone. He knew what the organization is teaching them is not all good, but it's a bit concerning if his grandchildren would go that far just to kill Juan at the age they are in.
"Are angry at us that Juan is not breathing anymore?" Aaron is somewhat curious to know if his grandfather feels angry or sad at the fact that Juan is not alive anymore. If his grandfather is sad, then he guesses that he wouldn't blame his grandfather to feel that way since his grandfather did take Juan under his care for so many years.
It would not be a surprise if Marcus cared for Juan.
"No. I am not angry. I fact, I am quite concerned that the two of you would this far. This kind of punishment way to cruel for both of you, and you two know well that neither I or anyone close to us taught you two to be that cruel." What they taught the twins that's related to the organization may not be good and all, but Marcus is sure that he wouldn't teach his grandchildren to be as merciless as him.
He wants them to be the better generation of Colemans. However, it seems like it's not going to happen in Anna and Aaron's generation.
"Grandfather, it was my idea and I know that I went too far. But I can promise you that what happened to Juan will be the last one that could ever happen." Being engulfed by her hatred towards Juan, Anna knew she went out of the line and had a taste of what it's like to be someone who went on a dark path.
With that experience, Anna is sure that she will remember it for the rest of her life and that she will be hunted by her guilt every single day.
'I should have been a better person, but I couldn't do it. My hatred just wouldn't subside if I didn't do what he did to me.' She may not show to her grandfather how much she's thinking about what she did, Marcus can sense that Anna is not feeling good about it.
That feeling that she's having now is the same exact reason why she did not want her to be that cruel. It will hunt her and it will have a huge effect on her life.
He knows that Juan's decision to go against his family is unforgivable, but what he does not know is what crime did Juan did to his granddaughter to make her go that far. There's a lot of questions in his mind that he wants to be answered. But he wouldn't know how to approach it to Anna.
"Anna, out of everyone in our family, you're the only one who is better than in any of us. And I hope it stays that way." Marcus is asking for too much from his grandchildren, one of the things that he wants from them is not to end up like him.
He is already old, and sooner or later, his life will end. He's ready to face that, but before that could happen he hopes to see his grandchildren happy and satisfied with their lives.
"Grandfather, why do you sound like you're going to die soon," Aaron spoke with a frown. His grandfather rarely talks like this, but whenever he does, it really irritates him. His grandfather might be old, but he is still healthy.
"I'm just saying, Aaron. And please, I'm not saying it like that. I still have more years ahead of me."
"That's better be the case grandfather because I still need you to see my future kids"
"Future kids? I don't see that happening. Especially when I don't even see you dating at least one girl." Since Aaron is not showing any signs to him that he's interested in any girls, and somehow it's making him feel quite nervous.
Though if Aaron will go into a different path of his s.e.x.u.a.lity, Marcus will accept it without a doubt. The only thing that he wants from Aaron is to tell him the truth. So he won't be worrying too much about him.
"Grandfather, just because I'm not dating any girl just yet, that does not mean that I won't be having kids of my own in the future." For some reason, Aaron is getting the feeling that his grandfather is doubting his s.e.x.u.a.lity. "Are you saying that because you think that I'm into guys?"
"O-of course not."
Marcus tried to deny that what he actually thought, but Anna suddenly made a comment. "Grandfather, don't even try to deny what you were really thinking. I mean, I wouldn't blame you for thinking like that." There are even times that she thinks that her brother won't be able to pass down their family name.
The only time she thinks that way is when her brother would ignore every picture of the women she shows to him. He won't even make a compliment about the girls she shows him. And if he does make a comment, he would only criticize them for dressing too much or putting on too much makeup.
"Wait, you also doubt my s.e.x.u.a.lity? Sister, what made you think like that?" Aaron asked and he is feeling sulky that his sister thinks that way towards him.
"I mean, you never showed any interest. Everyone would think like that, brother." Though from time to time, she notices her brother taking glances on Nathalia's side, she is not entirely sure if that is what she thinks it is.
There are signs that her brother is taking an interest in Nathalia, but Anna can't be too sure if she is right or wrong. But hopefully, that is the case. Anna would like it very much if it's Nathalia. She wants to assume that is the case, but if she does, it will only disappoint her.
"I do have one! She's a very interesting person." Aaron said proudly. He wants to prove his grandfather and his sister wrong.
Truthfully, he is actually taking interest in two girls. But what he felt towards each on them is very different. One of those girls is Nathalia, she is the only one aside from his sister and mother that he felt very relaxed with. As for the other girl, she has an interesting personality and a bit mystery about her being. She's the type of girl that Aaron wants to uncover its secret.
However, if he were to ask which one of the girls he would rather spend his whole day with, he would say that he will pick Nathalia. Nathalia makes him smile in every action she does which is the more reason why he picks her.
"Please do tell us who that person is, brother." Anna eagerly wants to know who that person her brother is talking about. A big hope in her heart says that she wants to hear Nathalia's name.
"It's a secret, my dear sister." Aaron would dare to say Nathalia's name because he is sure that his grandfather will surely tell it to Leonardo. And when Leonardo hears that, Aaron is sure that Leonardo will come and hunt him for taking interest in his daughter. As for the other girl, Aaron has no idea what's the person's name is. So, it's useless to even mention her.

"Secret? Did he actually said that?" Zen asked in disbelief.
"Yes. And it's very upsetting that he is hiding it." At this point, Anna wouldn't care if it's really Nathalia or not. She just wants to know who's the person who got her brother's attention because her heart has been pounding fast every time she thinks about the person her brother is talking about.
"Can I just step in and set him and Nathalia up? I mean, I want to see how they would progress." Zen suggested this because he wants to know if things can work out between his beloved friend and Aaron.
If there is a sign that Aaron has no slightest interest in Nathalia, then it's better to have Nathalia have an early heartbreak than not doing anything to see if there is a chance. It may sound harsh, but it's the only way Zen could think of for Nathalia's sake.
"I would love to help you, but I'm afraid to see Nathalia's sad face if things don't work out," Anna said worriedly. Nathalia has a soft heart, and to her point of view, Nathalia is the type of person who will have a hard time moving especially if it is her first love.
After hearing that Zen falls into deep thinking. He wants to figure out a way to help Nathalia. But unfortunately, he can't come up with anything.
He glances at his side, and his sight landed on the person who has not yet said a word, Josh.
