"Change his mind?" Aaron scoffed and that made James frown. "Uncle James, grandfather will never change his mind once he sees my performance. After all, it's all about how I do well in this training. I'm pretty sure you know that very well."
After hearing that James' old wound opened. The words his father said to him years ago is once again invading his mind. For his father, everything is about performance? Of course, it is. His brother, Arion, performed the best that is why Arion became the heir instead of him.
However, despite that fact, James still believes that is not the real reason why he did not become the heir. To him, the real reason is that he was not a Coleman blood, to begin with. His father did not want him to take over their family business because he is only an adopted child.
A child who does not have a single drop of Coleman blood in his veins.
James clenches his fists in anger. Every time he sees Aaron, it always reminds him of Arion's face and it always reminds him of how he was defeated. And by all means, he wants to do whatever it takes to take what's theirs.
"Of course, I knew that. Father always likes the best performance out of everyone." Even now, James still tries his best to show his best performance to his father, but it seems like none of his performance is getting through his father. "Although that's the case for you, young man, that does not mean that Father won't expect any disappointment from you."
"Uncle, if I may ask, in all the things that I've done during my training under you, in what way am I disappointing?" While he is trying to find evidence for his uncle's betrayal to the family, he is also working hard to prove to everyone that he is not taking advantage of his title as an heir.
James is tongue-tied. He didn't know what to say. To all the tasks he is giving to Aaron, there is no single mistake that Aaron has done. If he says something that Aaron did make a mistake there are going to be a lot of bad whispers about him and he wouldn't like that to happen.
"See, uncle? Don't say that I'm doing something that will disappoint my grandfather because you and I know that I had not done a single thing." If he could laugh out loud, then he would do it without any restraint. His uncle is making a face that is making him wanna laugh.
"Go and do your tasks, young man," James said as soon as he feels like he is about to say something that may go against him. Aaron is a tricky young man and whatever he finds, Aaron will report everything to his parents or to his sister who's the most trickier one to deal with.
"With pleasure, my dear uncle." With a smirk on his face, Aaron turned his body around and left his uncle's office.
As soon as Aaron left the office, he saw a man in a suit, a mysterious looking man. That man looks at him and stops in front of him. "Are you Aaron Coleman?"
"Yes. That I am. Is there anything that I can help you with?" Aaron spoke politely.
The man scoffed and smiled at him, but it's not a smile that's really very pleasing in the eye. "Everything's fine, young man. I'm just here for your uncle and speaking of your uncle, I heard a lot about you from him."
Aaron looks at him, and suspicions are making him think that this man in front of him has a deep connection with his dear uncle. 'Oh dear uncle, you're making things more entertaining than I thought.'
He actually thought that his uncle would be more careful now that he is training under him, but obviously, that is not the case. "Is that so? I hope that uncle is saying good things about me." If this man is playing fake in front of him, then he, Aaron, can also do it without a doubt. After all, his dear sister thought him how to act fake to others he does not like.
"Of course, he is." The man patted Aaron's shoulder and head on towards James' office.
Aaron brushes off to where the man patted him and scoffed. He took out his phone and gave his sister a call. As soon as Anna answered the call, Aaron immediately told him what they should do next.
"Dear sister, we have a new pal and I think we should start investigating him." He said playfully.

"Here she comes," Anna whispered quietly to her friends.
"H-hi." Ilana the girl that Anna has been trying to uncover its real intention of why she's getting near her brother has come and is finally talking to her.
"Is there anything you need from us?" Nathalia asked. Acting like a mean girl, she looks at Ilana up and down as if she's looking down at her.
Anna can tell that Ilana was surprised to see that kind of response from Nathalia. With this, Anna now knows that Ilana did her homework about them.
"I'm new here in school, and I was wondering if one of you could help navigate my way around here?" Anna almost scoffs after hearing that from Ilana. That's Ilana's way to get close to the people around her brother. She wonders if it's the same excuse she used to get close to her brother in her past life.
Ilana looks at the person next to Anna with pleading eyes. Before that person could even say a word, Anna pinches his leg, it is like saying to him that he should keep his mouth shut.
"I'm sorry. I'm afraid that none of us will be able to help you." Anna spoke. "How about asking other students to help you? I'm sure that they'll help you with open arms." With Ilana's facade, Anna is sure that she can get any help she wants without any problems.
"B-but I'm afraid of talking to anybody else in this school," Ilana said acting all scared all of the sudden.
"If that is true, then why are you talking to us?" Josh asked her sarcastically. Ilana is saying that she's afraid of talking to anyone in the school and yet she has the guts to talk to them. He and his friends have this tendency to make others feel that they don't talk to others until they spoke to them first. And yet, this very girl took courage to talk to them without any hesitation.
"Because from what I see, you guys are the easiest group of people I can ask for help with." From the first few words she getting from Anna and the others, she got the feeling that she is not being liked by any of them. She wonders if she did something to them to make her feel like this.
Students heard what Ilana just said. Some laugh, some scoffed, and some could only shake their heads. They find it very entertaining for someone to say that Anna's group of friends is the easiest one to get close to.
Anna and her friends doesn't rule the school like the way it is in some movies, but they are hard to approach. It's mostly because of the background they have and also because Josh and Aaron are picky when it comes to the people who wants to hang out with them.
Ilana hears whispers around her and she could not help but blush out of embarrassment. She only said those words and they are already whispering about her as if she said something so ridiculous. Not knowing the reason why they are whispering about her, Ilana tries to shake off her attention from them and focus to one person who is her main goal.
"I'm sorry to disappoint you, new girl, but if I were you, you should not go and talk to us because this guy and this guy does not really like people that much." Zen pointed at Josh and Aaron. Somehow she felt bad for Ilana, but he reminded himself that he should not feel anything towards her because Ilana might be hiding something and he must avoid her until he knows what it is.
Ilana's body shook. She felt like her entire plan is starting to crumble right away without even starting it. Ilana opened her mouth, but before she could even say a word, someone held both of her shoulders.
"New girl, if you don't know your way around the school, then I'll show you around. It would be my pleasure to do so." It was Elizabeth who stopped Ilana from talking. Anna frowned at the sight of Elizabeth being so friendly towards Ilana.
To her point of view, it seems like Elizabeth found herself a new ally or pawn to use against her and her friends.
