Chapter 360 - Revenge 361: She's Making Food For Kyle

"I do not care. If you two want to further prove yourself, then you better accept this challenge." One of the main reasons why Arion is putting this kind of challenge to his kids is that he wants them to get to these kinds of tight situations.

In the world that they live in, tight situations mostly happen all the time. And if his kids are not used to it, then their lives could be at risk or someone else's life.

It is harsh, but for their sake, Arion has to give them limited choices or tight situations. 'They want to be part of the underworld? Then, they better be ready to face more of these challenges.' Arion inwardly said.

After thinking things through, Anna and Aaron fully understand what their father is trying to do. Truth to be told, they did not expect their father to train them. Rather than getting angry at their father's challenge, the twins are more up to it.

"Looks like it's not just the elders and mother's friends we have to prove ourselves to, our dear fathers are also included," Aaron smirked. Without him noticing it, he is slowly opening up to his father. Only Anna can notice that fact, and she couldn't help but feel happy that her family is going to be complete soon.

"Like what others say, life is not easy. We have to work hard if we really want it." Not so long ago, Anna realized that those people who ruined her life in her past life none of them actually worked hard for what they want.

They all associated themselves with someone powerful to help them get what they want. Taking shortcuts to their goals.

Now that she's thinking about it, they are a bunch of people who doesn't deserve any good things in life. If only they did good things towards her, she might change her perspective towards them. Unfortunately, as greedy as they are, they won't stop doing bad things.

"I didn't expect your father to be that strict. You two must have it tough."

"Nathalia, what are you talking about? Can't you see that they are not in that kind of position?" Zen looks at the twins who are currently playing on their phones. There's not even a sign of worry in their faces.

"They both are good at hiding their true feeling! You never know." Nathalia believes that Anna and Aaron are only acting like everything is fine when it's not. She is one of those few people who know about the twins' plan on exposing Ilana and James Coleman, and with Arion's deadline for the twins' mission, she also knows that the twins' plan has been messed up.

"They are good at it, but that doesn't mean they are bothered by their father's challenge. If you ask me, they are more excited to prove themselves to their father." Whenever there are challenges given by others to the twins, the twins get excited to show their performance.  Their excitement is something that Josh can never understand.

"They both are weird. If my father gave me that kind of deadline when the schedule is very tight, I would be in frantic and most likely beg my father to extend the deadline." Zen is very thankful that his father is not like the twins' father or Nathalia's father. If his father is like either of them, he would be a whole different person of who he is now.

"Is there anything you children want to order?" Currently, the whole gang is relaxing at Claire's cafe. "You guys have been for an hour now are still didn't order anything. I didn't build this cafe for you five to relax in and won't order anything." Claire spoke.

Anna and the others have been coming to her cafe frequently, they are more like her regular customers now. Since they are popular in their school, their school mates notice that this is the place they go in after school because of that, her cafe business is booming of customers.

It's not like she's complaining about it, but her cafe has gotten a bit noisy since their frequent visit.

"Sorry, grandma Claire. We're just too caught up on our conversation that we forgot to order." Nathalia spoke politely. When first heard from Anna that Claire knows her father and was once part of the organization, she was surprised and curious about her.

There are even times that she comes here to the cafe to ask Claire about her father's past. The more she hears from Claire about her father, the more she respects and idolizes her father.

"We would like to take our usual order, please." Since they have been coming here multiple times and ordered the same thing every time, it's easy for Josh to say what he and his friends would like to order.

Before leaving Anna's table, Claire looks at Anna and a question suddenly popped into her mind. "Anna, I haven't seen Kyle around for a while now. What happened?" Other than seeing Anna and her friends visiting her cafe, she also sees Kyle around to have quality time with Anna. But for the past few days, he has not seen a single trace of him. She wonders why he stopped coming.

"Oh, he's been busy. His father is grooming him to be the next in line in their family business." From what she heard from Kyle, he told her that his father is making him work on their company. He also said that he will not be able to see her for a while because of that.

It's sad that she will barely see Kyle for a while, but she understands that Kyle has to this kind of work for him to be acknowledged by everyone. Since Anna already knows the outcome of Kyle's hard work, she is not a bit worried about him. Despite that, she still supports him.

"Yeah. Since she won't be able to see her prince for a while, she's been baking and cooking, then sends it to him. As a matter of fact, she will be going home an hour from now to cook for her precious prince." Aaron spoke in a teasing tone.

Ever since his sister knows Kyle's schedule, she always makes time for herself to make Kyle's food. It has become a routine and it kind of getting on his nerves. Anna's cooking skills have improved, and yet, she is wasting it on Kyle.

'Is Kyle more important than me? In every dish that she made, I tasted only one dish. One dish!' Aaron is now feeling sulky about it.

"That's very thoughtful of you, Anna." Claire couldn't help but smile at Anna. It seems like what she heard from Arion is true. Anna falling for Kyle deeper and deeper. 'Looks like your hard work is getting its wonderful result, young man.'

With nothing to add, Claire left Anna's table with a satisfied smile on her face.

"Did he say anything about your cooking?" Nathalia is feeling romantically excited because of what Anna is doing for Kyle. She can't help but envy that air that surrounds them.

With a slight on her face, Anna answered Nathalia's question. "He said that it was delicious."

"And you believe him?" Zen spoke teasingly. "He's only saying that because he likes you. How can you be so sure that he actually ate your food?" Since he is in a mood to tease Anna, he kept on doing it over and over, and that really made Anna snapped.

Without a warning, Anna stepped on Zen's foot. Zen groaned in pain and Anna only glared at him. "That's what you for getting on my nerves."

Despite showing to others that she is not affected by Zen just said, she does worry if Kyle really does like the dishes that she sends to him. Now, because of Zen, Anna feels discouraged to make food for Kyle from now on.

To add more pain to Zen, Nathalia also stepped on his other foot. "When will you stop acting like a jerk" Usually, Nathalia wouldn't mind Zen being like that, but on a conversation like these, Nathalia prefer if Zen would just keep his mouth shut.

"Jerk? I'm not!" Zen defended himself, then he looks at Aaron and Josh. It is as if he is asking them for help. 'Come on! Tell them that I'm not a jerk.'

Aaron and Josh didn't say a word and only turn their heads towards the window, watching the people pass by.

"If Anna stops cooking for Kyle, I'm gonna tell Kyle that it's all your fault." Although Nathalia never has seen Kyle get angry, she has a slight idea of what Kyle will do if he does get angry.

"Seriously? You're throwing me under the bus1 just because of what I said?"

"Zen, if you don't want her to do that you, you should really stop making comments like that." Josh finally spoke, but he spoke not to defend him. An idiomatic term in American English
