In Leon's opinion, it would be fair for everyone else to have the ringleader of the ones who is revolting against Marcus to be marked off of the family list.
"I think so too, but there is nothing my sister and I can do. Besides, they are gonna send him and his family far away from here. That much I can tolerate." Aaron is still angry and he has this urge to kill his uncle right at this moment, but he is restraining himself back. No matter what, he will never forgive his uncle to have such a plan, like killing his mother.
'It's truly unforgivable.' Aaron inwardly said.
"Wouldn't it be dangerous to let him pardon his crimes just like that?" Leon is still skeptical about the Elders' decision. There is no guarantee that James Coleman wouldn't stand a revolt once again. It might happen again, and maybe next time, it's not easy to handle just like this time.
"The Elders are not that stupid. Obviously, they are gonna keep an eye on uncle James and if uncle James makes a suspicious move, they are going to make a decision to kicked him out whether Elder Martha or grandfather likes it or not." Although she is not sure what the elders really are thinking, Anna is sure about one thing, her uncle James' second chance is his last chance. With or without her grandfather's permission, one mistake and he is out.
"Seriously, your Elder Martha did a number on me. I can't believe she suggested that. I don't even think that's a punishment for your uncle James." When Leon first saw Martha Cole, he immediately thinks that she has the highest position besides Marcus Coleman in the Coleman family. She looks so strict and would like to stay stick to the rule of the family. But it seems like Martha Cole can go out of her original character.
"From what I heard from my father, he said that Martha Cole is an unpredictable woman. No one can be so sure about what she is really thinking. Of course, the only exception to that is Grandfather." Aaron also heard from his father, that his grandfather and Martha grew up together and they are practically inseparable. "They know about each other so well that they what each other is thinking."
"As for the punishment you're saying," Anna started. "Uncle James is going to face punishment. I don't know much about the subsidiaries of our family business, I sure do know that the place uncle James is going is hell. I can even tell that Sharon is going to cry every day the moment she steps foot on that place." Back in her past life, Anna remembered hearing from her grandfather that the place her uncle James is going to is a place where it's going to tire out a person's body.
That place is very time-consuming. Anna also remembered that her grandfather and mother were having a hard time finding someone to keep that place running. Most family members wouldn't even like to go to that place much less running that place.
"Really? I don't believe it." Leon finds it hard to believe that they are sending James away to have its punishment. Until he sees that James is suffering, he will not believe a single word about James is receiving his punishment.
"Young master Aaron!" The twins and Leon were startled when someone suddenly came near them. They were engulfed in their conversation that they did not notice Rent's wife coming near them. She looks so haggard that the three of them don't even know if they should feel sorry for her or not.
"Young master? What's with this sudden change?" While he was talking earlier, Marietta didn't address him like this. The way she addressed him earlier was aggressive and has no intention of accepting him as someone who is possibly the next heir for the Coleman family.
The way she is acting towards him now is making him feel uncomfortable.
"Young master, I made a grave mistake on acting so arrogantly in front of you." While Marietta is saying this, she is cursing at the fact that she has to act so desperately in front of Aaron, but she has no other choice. She has to do it in order not to lose to the life she is used to and not lose the respect she gained from other socialites. "Young master, please put some good words for me and my family to stay part in this family."
Truthfully said, Marietta would like to save only herself, but that won't work because she is only married to the Colemans. She has no connection with the Colemans by blood. As much as it pains her, she has to bring her stupid husband and sons along with her.
"What's this? The Great Marietta is begging for her life not to change?" Martha who is done talking with the other elders suddenly joined in with Anna and the others. A ridicule expression was plastered on her face. She is clearly enjoying seeing Marietta kneeling in front of Aaron.
"Martha," The last person that Marietta wants to talk to today is Martha. She has no time to argue with Martha, she has to save herself first before it's all too late.
"What? Can't say anything? Where is your courage now, Marietta? I thought you have everything under your control?" It's not Martha's character to provoke someone, but she is just too angry at the fact that Marietta took a huge part in James' revolt.
James can become too small-minded when it comes to his emotion, and Marietta used that to her advantage.
"Martha, I have no time to deal with you. I still have to talk to the young master." Marietta said, avoiding having a conversation with Martha. She is trying to rub it on her, and she hates that it is working. She can't wait to climb her way up and when she's in the right position, she will make her action towards Martha. 'Just you wait.' She inwardly swears.
"Please stop calling me like that, you're making me uncomfortable, lady."
