"If you don't want me to keep telling you this, then you should not have suggested this in the first place!" Mary pinches her son's cheeks. Every time! Every time she has to worry about her son's hasty decisions and actions.
For the most part, she trusts him and she worries less, but this time, it's different. She won't be there for him to save him if anything happens. She might be Leonardo's best friend, but it does not mean that he will tolerate her son if her son ever says something stupid.
"But Mom, if I don't do this, then wouldn't that mean I'm not trying to win Nathalia?" From what he heard, his father never stopped trying to make his mother fall in love with him, and that story goes all the way back in their family history. The males in their family did their best to make the woman that they fall for falls in love with them.
If his ancestors did that, it's only natural that he does the same. There is no reason for him to break such a tradition of his family.
"You brat! You talk so highly as if it's such an easy task to do!" Marcus said to Aaron in an irritated tone. The way Aaron just talk right now reminded him of how Arion was back then.
Arion was so confident that Mary will fall him immediately, but obviously that did not happen. Arion took a lot of challenges just to make Mary fall for him. But every challenge that he took didn't even make Mary look at him.
"I know it's not easy, Grandfather." Aaron would like it if it was that easy, but then again, he prefers it to be not easy. If it's that easy, then there is no fun in doing it. The thrill of doing everything that you can in order to achieve your goal is the best part of the journey.
Aaron would not dare to change anything.
Getting impatient from waiting, Leonardo made a loud beep from his car. He knows that Aaron is only saying his goodbyes to his family, but why does it have to take so long? With them acting like that, it's making Leonardo thinks that they are reminding Aaron to be careful around him.
'If that's the case, then why should Aaron be doing that? It's not like I'm planning to do something bad to that kid.'
Aaron is coming along with him to where his mother is to support his emotional daughter. That is the only reason why Aaron is coming, and there is no reason for Leonardo to get angry about that. In fact, Leonardo is quite pleased that Aaron is doing this for his daughter.
He can't comfort his daughter the way he wanted to because he is also way too emotional. He is only going to make things worst if he's the one comforting his daughter.
Though there is a part of him that makes him think that there is a hidden agenda on why Aaron insisted on coming with them. He would like to question Aaron, but for some reason, he thinks that it will somehow make him the villain question a young teenage boy.
"Hey, Aaron! We don't have much time! Stop saying goodbyes to them as if you will never come back!" He shouted.
Mary heard that and she wanted to say that what Leonardo just is possible to happen. The possibility of her son never coming back is high. Mary held her words back, she doesn't want to plant suspicion on Leonardo's radar towards her son.
"Coming!" Aaron said, then one last time he glances at his family and said, "Don't worry about me too much. I'll be back as a whole." Even if he did say something that will most likely anger Leonardo, Aaron believes that Leonardo won't go to the point of wanting him dead. At least, that is what he believes in.
Mary stood there as she watches her son and Leonardo leaves the Coleman property. As she does that, there is a concerned expression on her face. She knows deep down that Leonardo won't ever go to the point of killing her son, but the pain that Leonardo will give will most likely to happen.
"Your son is so careless. He is just like you, Arion." Mary said. Every time that Aaron does something that surprises her, the first person that comes to her mind is her husband. Aaron is way too similar to her husband, and that is mainly the reason why she is always worried about Aaron.
Every day, she wishes her son to not have some of her husband's attributes, especially the carelessness. However, her wishing that is pointless. 'They didn't spend that much time together and yet, they are so similar to each other. How troublesome.'
"W-What? Come on, my dear wife. He's not being careless, he's just a young man who wants to achieve his goal. I would rather call it bravery." He is glad that his wife thinks that there is a great connection between him and his son, but he doesn't get the feeling that what his wife thinks is a positive one.
"Bravery? Such nonsense. That bravery of his will only leads him to his death if he doesn't think straight." Marcus said in a matter-of-fact tone. It's good to have bravery in every person, but this time, his grandson is like testing his luck, and who knows when will that luck runs out.
"Father, you don't have to say it like that." At the very least, Arion would love it if his wife and father would just have faith in Aaron. He too is worried about him, but there is no point in worrying if he can't at least be like a supportive father.
"I can say whatever I want."

"You know, for you to go all this way is not really helping," Nathalia said with a frown plastered on her face. She and Aaron are currently at the place where it's only the two of them. Since it is just them, Nathalia took this chance to talk to Aaron about him being here.
"What do mean it's not helping? Need I remind you that I am here to be your emotional support?" Apart from his motive of getting close to Nathalia, he is also here to be her emotional support.
She is going through a rough time, and as long as he is here, he would like her to rely on him in times like this. Originally, this is supposed to be one of her childhood friend's job to comfort her when she is sad, but his selfish side wants to get to know Nathalia more and decided to take this role.
"Aaron, I know you mean well, but I also know that you have other motives in mind. So please-"
Aaron cut her off, "I know that I have other motives in mind, Nathalia. But it does I'm only here because of that motive. I consider myself as someone who is close to you. Josh and Zen are nowhere to be found here, and you need someone to lean on. Of course, you can lean on to your father and mother, but think about it, both your parents are as emotional as you. Do you really think that's going to help you?"
The tone in every word that comes out of Aaron's mouth sounded so serious, and Nathalia wasn't able to respond to that. Aaron talks, but he never talks that much in one go. It is such a surprise to her to that point that she doesn't even know if she should believe in him or not.
As Nathalia is about to respond, someone from behind them called her. "Nathalia, be a dear and get your father's bag from the car, please." It was her mother. As a good daughter, Nathalia didn't complain and followed her mother's word.
The moment it was just Aaron and Nathalia's mother, Aaron suddenly got the feeling that Nathalia's mother did this on purpose. As he is about to attempt to leave his spot, Crona's suddenly spoke, "Aaron, you better stay on that spot. We have lots to talk about."
As she said that, there was a hint of a glint in her eyes that is making Aaron nervous.
"Umm... what kind of talk are you talking about?" It is still hard for Aaron to believe that this woman in front of him is Nathalia's mother. He can see the similarities between them, but that is not his point.
His point is that Nathalia doesn't have this distinguished personality as Crona has, and he is thankful for that.
"I just got a call from your mother, and she told me everything." A smirk appeared in Crona's face, and it's the type of a smirk that makes Aaron have goosebumps. "You cunning little brat, I can't believe you're going this far just for your goal."
