"How did the surgery go?" Mary asked Arion as soon as she saw him. She also just finished talking to her friends, and at her end, everything went well. Amongst her friends, none of them have any problem with putting their children under training.
"Everything went well. Now the only thing that we need to do is to wait and see how things go." The first step of his plan went smoothly, and the next is step two. The moment James meet up with those people, they will plan their next step.
They need to know as much information that they can get from every conversation James has with those people. 'James, don't blame me for using you like this. You're the one who made this move first, not me.' Arion inwardly said.
"Are you sure that those people won't suspect anything weird? James has been missing since his morning, then suddenly he is at the hospital?" If it were her, she would be suspecting why James suddenly disappeared, then moments later he's at the hospital. If those people are being cautious at all times, then there is a possibility that they will suspect James.
"I can't blame you for thinking like that, but I am sure that they won't suspect a thing," Arion said with full of confidence. "Those people are sloppy, when they meet up with James days ago, they tried to be discreet, but it was terrible."
Now that Arion is saying, he is somehow irritated that these sloppy people got away from what they did to his family years ago.
'If they are that sloppy, why didn't my father got the hold of them?'
That particular question keeps ringing inside his head and it's making him dizzy every time he tries to think about it.
"Anyways, enough talk about James…" Arion said. "How did things go with Leonardo and the others? Did they agree with the training and all?"
In the back of his mind, it doesn't matter if Leonardo and the others agree to it or not. He will still train his children with or without them. He and his wife can't wait any longer. They have to prepare their children as soon as possible.
"I did," Mary replied. "I'm quite surprised with Leonardo though, I never expected him to agree without even having any second thoughts." The moment Mary asked the question, Leonardo replied within just seconds.
She thought that she would have to convince Leonardo to let his daughter join the training, but obviously, she doesn't have to.
"Really now? That is quite a shock considering that Leonardo is way too overprotective of his daughter." Arion has no idea what happened to Leonardo, but whatever did happen, Arion is pleased about it. And it is a smart move by Leonardo to do.
They won't always be there to save their children from any danger. The best way that they can do to protect them is to train them on how to protect themselves.
"When I asked him why he agreed so fast, he said that he had a talk with his wife and daughter. And it made him realize a lot of things." Leonardo is a smart man, but his stubbornness sometimes makes Mary thinks that he is an idiot.
Leonardo would sometimes reject the best way to deal with things, and whenever that happens, Mary gets upset and makes a decision when Leonardo is not around.
"Hmmm... if I want Leonardo to agree with me, maybe I should have his wife and daughter to back me up. Yeah! That's a great idea!" Arion smirked as he is already planning inside his mind. There is a lot of things that he wanted Leonardo to do, but whenever he suggests it to Leonardo, he will always get rejected.
So far, he has never found a way to make Leonardo do what he says, but now that Crona and Nathalia managed to convinced Leonardo, Arion will gladly use this tactic. 'I'm sorry, Leo. But it is what it is.'
"Seriously? Do you really think that would work?" Mary just can't understand why her husband is being like this. He knows that Leonardo is not the type to suddenly agree just because of what his wife and daughter said, he would always want to hear reasonable facts before agreeing on doing something.
"If I don't try, then I wouldn't know, right?" Arion got nothing to lose if he does it. Besides, if Leonardo does agree with him, then all of the things that he had done are all worth it.
Mary sighed. Even if she try to talk her husband out of it, he wouldn't listen. It would be just a waste of her breath. "Fine. Do whatever you want."
As Mary and Arion are having their alone time together, the man who operated on James suddenly appeared in front of them and said, "Pardon my intrusion, love birds. But I think it's best for you guys to tell me what shall I do next with James."
The only words that he received from Arion are that he will only operate on James, and now that he is done, he is now confused on what should he do next.
"Don't worry about it, Dr. Snow. I'll have someone else to do it." Arion replied.
"Is that so? Then I shall take my leave. I have other patients to see."
Dr. Snow was about to leave, but Mary stopped him. "Wait. You're Dr. Snow? As in Larry Snow? One of the best doctors assigned in the organization?" Mary looks at Dr. Snow's face once again, then she continued, "From what I heard, they said that Dr. Snow is an old man? How come you're this young? Or this face is just a mask or something?"
From what she heard, Dr. Snow has been working for the organization as a doctor for almost fifty years now. But this Dr. Snow in front of her doesn't look like someone who is in his fifties. 'What kind of youth potion did this guy drink?' Mary inwardly asked.
Dr. Snow laughed at the words that came out of Mary's mouth. He finds it ridiculous that Mary thought of him as someone else. "You are mistaken, Mrs. Coleman. The person that you're talking about is my father. I'm the youngest Dr. Snow in the organization."
"Really, Mary? Really? How come you mistook him for someone else? You've been running the organization for years now, and you don't even know the faces of the assigned doctors in the organization?" Arion is somewhat in disbelief that his wife didn't even recognize old Dr. Snow's face, and bluntly mistook the young Dr. Snow as the old one.
Mary didn't say a word. She even looks away. She is way to embarrass to say a word. She knows that she is at fault for mistaking this person in front of her as the old Dr. Snow, but it is not entirely her fault.
Whenever she is at the point when she is needed to see a doctor, Dr. Snow wasn't around to help her out. It was another doctor, a female one who always attend her. And also, with her busy schedule, she doesn't have enough time to see the faces of every doctor that is working for the organization.
"I am terribly sorry," She said with a bright color plastered on her face.
"It's alright, Mrs. Coleman. Everyone makes mistakes, even you. Although it is quite a surprise to know that you have no idea what kind of face does my father has." His father is the famous doctor in the organization, and to think that there is someone who doesn't recognize his father is quite surprised to him.
He can't wait to go and visit his father to tell this story to him. He is sure that his father will be in shock to the story and would probably laugh.
"Please. Let's stop talking about my embarrassing moment. I can't bear to hear it." Mary had enough of the teasing. She rarely gets tease, but when she does, it is too much for to bear and her face will turn red. That is why she is always careful with what she said in front of her friends because they like to tease her nonstop.
They get satisfaction on seeing her suffer from embarrassment. 'They're the worst.' She inwardly said.
"Well then, I will take my leave now. And I hope next time, you will recognize me and won't mistake me as my father."
When the young Dr. Snow is out of their sight, Mary put a hand to cover Arion's mouth and said, "Don't you ever say a word about this or else, I will reveal one the secrets that you don't want anybody else to hear."
Knowing her husband, Mary is sure that Arion will spread a word about her embarrassing moment. And before he does that, the best way for her to keep his mouth close is to blackmail him.
Feeling that it was unfair of Mary to blackmail him, Arion has no other choice but to agree with it.
