Chapter 489 - Revenge 490: More Than One Passageway

Name:REBORN: Revenge Author:C_J_Taganna
"The twins will be here later. So don't bother waiting for them."

Nathalia turned around and there, she saw her father walking towards their direction. Compare to how she and her friends look, her father looks so fresh and sophisticated. It's early in the morning and her father is striking them with his good looks.

'Does my father ever age at all?' Nathalia inwardly said. In every angle that she looks, there is no sign of her father aging.

"Why? Where are they?" She asked.

"They are currently at some elder's place. They undergo special training. There is more than one person honing the twins' skills and talents." After Leonardo learned about the twins' tight schedule, he somehow felt bad because he is draining more energy out of them. Both Anna and Aaron have to go to school, meet up with Martha, then undergo training with and the other inside the organization.

However, it was the twins who asked for it. What he doesn't understand is the fact that why they are wasting all of their time training till their last energy of the day. He understands that they want to get better so that everyone can recognize them for who they are, but they are young. There is a lot of time for them to improve.

They don't have to prove to everyone what they are capable of in just one go. 'I just hope that the two of them will get over this hurdle successfully.' Leonardo inwardly said.

"Well, they sure love to exert their energy to the fullest." Zen knows what Leonardo is talking about and he can't help but admire that motivation that twins have to get through all that hard they put onto in their everyday activity.

He loves to push himself to the limit, but he can never go with the same flow as the twins. He will take a break three times a week, but as for the twins, he never once heard them say that they have a break in one of their daily activities.

'At this point, I'm not even sure if they know how to take a day off away from those training.'

"Do they even have a choice to stop doing what they are doing?" Nathalia understands that what the twins' are doing is very important for their future's sake, but after hearing what the twins' are experiencing every day, there is a part of her that wants them to stop for a least a week to relax.

"They do. And it's their choice, Nathalia. The only that you can do is to respect their decision," Josh said. He once asked the same question to Anna and she said to him that they were the ones who choose to have this kind of training. Furthermore, she also mentioned that she and her brother like to push themselves to their limits. She even said that with a smile on her face.

"Enough talk about those two," Leonardo said. "Since there is no school today, you lots will be here for the whole day."

The three friends flinched when they saw the evil smirk plastered on Leonardo's face. They are somehow getting a feeling that they will go home with their body sore all over.

"I'm confused. I thought you're going to teach us more about the family, so why are we here?" Anna asked Martha. The moment they arrived at Martha's place, Martha immediately told to hop on her car.

Without much of a choice, they followed whatever Martha told them to do. And when they arrived at their destination, Anna and Aaron have this confused look on their faces.

"I am going to teach you two. Everything that you two need to know is right at this place." Martha didn't even bother to look at either Anna or Aaron, she continued to lead the way.

"This Old Mansion? I'm sorry, but last time, Anna and I went to every corner of this mansion, and the only thing that is in this mansion is the history of our family. There is no book or any paper that says about the family business." Aaron frowned as he said that. The only thing that says about their family business is when it started and that's it. He sees no point in learning that stuff.

"Aren't we just learning how the business in our family works. How come we have to read the history of our family?" Anna whispered to her brother, but Martha manages to hear that.

From Martha's point of view, the twins are complaining that she brought them to this place, and she can't help but get irritated by that.

She stopped on her tracks, turn around to face the twins, and said, "Can the two of you shut your mouths and just follow me." It's better if she shows the twins what is the real objective for today rather than wasting her breath and they still ask questions.

'These two are the curious types. They will ask and ask until they are satisfied. It's better if I show it to them in one go.' Martha inwardly said, then she sighed.

The Old Mansion is a big place and the further they go deep inside the mansion the more confused Aaron is.

On this side of the mansion, there is nothing interesting to see except for some very old furniture that doesn't interest him. 'What on earth are we supposed to do here?'

Just as Aaron is about to open his and ask another question, Martha pushed a button on the wall and a secret passage appeared right in front of them.

Both he and Anna were surprised to see that. They did not notice that button at all. It is so well hidden that they both thought that it was part of the wall design.

"Wow. This old place sure has a lot of secret passageways. I wonder how many are there." Anna whispered to him. Aaron can tell that Anna is quite excited to explore the Old Mansion again and find every secret that is here to find.

"I don't know, but we can ask Grandfather about it," Aaron said.

"Ask him? No way! I would rather find its secret on my own rather than ask Grandfather about it." Anna pouted that her brother doesn't have the same interest as her.

"In what part of what said earlier did you two not understand?"

Anna wanted to talk back to Martha, but she's holding herself back. 'Why does she have to be always like this?' She inwardly asked.

Although Martha interacts with them with an attitude, Anna can't say that the respect she has for the woman decreased. She learned a lot of things from Martha and she is very grateful for that. And from what she heard from her father, he said that the only way for Martha to treat them differently is to impress her.

So far, she and her brother have not done something that makes Martha see them differently.

They entered the passageway and the further they walk, the more Anna and Aaron felt like that the temperature is getting colder and colder. They can tell that they are going deep underground.

Anna already knew that there is a lot of secrets that her family is hiding, but after knowing that there is more one passageway in this old mansion, Anna is now starting to believe that her ancestors did a lot of bad things.

Just the thought of that is making her nauseated.

"We're here," Martha said. The best part of not telling the twins about the details is that she gets to see what kind of faces they would make while they get into a lot of conclusion in mind.

'Look at Anna's face. She must be thinking that her ancestors are full of monsters.'

Martha still remembers the first time that she went to this place. She also had the same face that Anna is making right now back then. She thought that her family history was all about killing everyone that gets on their way.

After learning the real history of their family, she felt guilty and ashamed of herself for thinking of such a thing.

"Well then, let's get started now, shall we?" She said.

In a certain place, Mary and all of her friends, except for Leonardo, have gathered.

"These are all the big names in the mafia world that have a grudge on us?" Arion spoke as he scans through the papers his wife gave to him.

As he does that, he wondered what did his family ever do to them for them to have a grudge against his family.

"Yes. And their grudges went all the way back from your great-grandfather's time." For those mafia families to have a grudge throughout to this day is quite an amazing feat.

"Wait. Are you being serious?" Arion asked. He wants to double-check that he heard his wife correctly.

"Yes. I am being serious. All the proofs that your great-grandfather created chaos in the mafia world are all in that paper in your hand."
