Chapter 496 - Revenge 497: Skipping Classes

"You guys look so tired. Didn't get enough sleep?"

That question that just came out of Aaron's mouth made Nathalia, Zen, and Josh glared at him furiously. They can't that after what happened yesterday, he has the audacity to ask such a question to them.

"Are you being serious right now, Aaron?" Josh asked. He looks at Aaron up and down, and he can't see any signs that say that Aaron is in the same state as them. Once Mary and the others are back, Josh will personally meet up with Mary and asked is she could separate the twins from them during training.

The reason for this is because they are not on the same level as them, and it's hard to be in the same room and doing the same thing with the twins if it is so easy on them. It's making feel useless, in which he is definitely not.

Anna sighed, then she said to Aaron, "Brother, just shut your mouth for the whole please." She has no idea if Aaron is asking that to annoy them or what, but whatever it is, it's better for him to shut his mouth until they get home.

"You know what, I'm going to my class, I think I'm going to take my time and sleep while class is not starting yet," Zen said, then he left. He didn't want to hear more out of Aaron's mouth. He might say something that will cause rumors about him if he does.

He usually goes to the basketball court here in school just to pass time, but now, he has no energy and his body is too sore for that. Heck, he might not be able to participate in their practice later. 'What am I gonna do? There's an upcoming game next week.'

Soon after, Josh decided to follow Zen. The ones who are left behind are the twins and Nathalia.

Aaron is about to open his mouth and engage a conversation with Nathalia, but she glared at him and said, "Don't talk to me for now. My mood is not exactly good today, and I'm afraid that if you say one word to me, I might say something that will make you sad." After saying that, she turn around and left the twins behind.

"Hmmm, I thought you're courting her. Why aren't you trying to lift up her mood?" Since it is her brother, Anna is confident that her brother will easily lift Nathalia's mood despite what she said. But looking at the person in front of her it seems like he has no intention of doing so.

'What's the point of declaring that you'll court her if you're not gonna do anything, brother?' Anna inwardly asked.

"Anna, I would like to. I really do, but she looked like she's really in a bad mood and I'm not dumb enough to confront her in that state." Aaron is not exactly sure what he had said or what he had done wrong, but he is sure that Nathalia is in that state because of him. 

The better way for her to cool off is if he leaves her alone for a little while. He doesn't want to risk her getting angrier at him.

Hearing that, Anna stared at him for a minute, and have nothing to say. What he said is reasonable, but it's not enough to convince her. But then again, her brother and Nathalia's business, whatever they do it's up to them, and she is only here when they need her.

All of a sudden, Aaron's phone vibrated. He took a look at him, and a smirk appeared on his face. Curiosity hit Anna, so she asked, "You got that look on your face, so tell me, what is it?"

"It's Lucia..." Anna's head tilted when she heard that name, she felt like it has been a while since she last heard of her. "She's inviting us to go on a mission today, like right now." In other words, Lucia is telling them if the twins want to skip school and go for a dangerous adventure with Lucia.

Of course, without even thinking about it, Aaron has already decided that he will go with Lucia to have some fun.

"Do you want to go or not?" He asked. Whether Anna will come or not, he will still go. He will definitely get himself in trouble if either of his parents or his grandfather knows about it, but he will go. There is no one here that can stop, even if it is Anna.

"Sure. I'll go. It's been a while. Besides, there is nothing much to do here in school anyway." Not too long ago, the principal of that school told everyone that most teachers might not be able to teach and will have a substitute to give the students some work. For what reason? Anna has no idea. She didn't listen to the whole Anna announcement.

"That was unexpected, but I love the answer." He smiled and lead Anna to where they can sneak out of the school.

"You know, skipping classes just to go and do some missions, is not the right thing to do for a teenager like you." 

"Shut it, Ophius. You say that, but here you are, out here with me, skipping classes." Lucia said with an annoyed tone. Ophius kept on scolding her about her actions, but here he is, he's doing the same thing she is doing now.

"I'm doing this out of my violation. I'm here to keep an eye on you. Have you forgotten the stunt that you pulled the last time? Can't believe that your father put me on guard duty on you." Ophius complained.

He may like to do some silly things, but he is still the type of person who takes his studies seriously. He is not liking the fact that he is out here, in the backside of the twins' school, and missing his classes.

If only his father didn't agree to what Lucia's father just said, he wouldn't be here. Because of Lucia, he will get scolded by his mother for skipping school, but then again, he will also get scolded by his father if he let Lucia out of his sight and she causes another more trouble.

'Either way, I will get scolded. This sucks.'

Not a minute later, Anna and Aaron arrived at their meeting spot. "It's been a long time, Lucia. How have you been?" Anna asked. She is clearly excited about seeing Lucia again. No matter how many times she sees this person, Lucia always looks so cool in her eyes.

With her heart full of excitement, Lucia hugged Anna tightly. "I've been well! Thank you for asking!"

Lucia wanted to kiss Anna's cheeks, but Aaron covered her face and said, "Back off, Lucia. I told you before, hugging and talking to her is the only thing you can do to her." He said. Because of his hand covering Lucia's face, Lucia was thinking of biting it to release her anger, but luckily Aaron immediately pulled his hand back. "Don't waste your energy."

With the continuing bantering between Aaron and Lucia, Anna and Ophius can't find the opportunity to get in between them. They felt left out.

"So, how are you?" Instead of feeling awkward with Ophius, Anna took the courage to engage in a conversation with him.

"Not good. My father and Lucia's father put me in a position that I really hate in the whole world." The tone in his voice is enough for Anna to know that he is clearly upset about whatever 'position' he is talking about.

'Poor guy, it's must be hard on him.'

"What kind of a position."

"Keeping an eye on that little witch." Ophius didn't even hesitate on calling Lucia in that nickname, which somewhat surprised Anna. The last time he saw him, he was friendly and being flirty with Lucia.

She thought that he likes Lucia. But after hearing his side, she is second-guessing about what he feels toward Lucia.

"Enough, Aaron! Are we going or not? If we keep staying here we will get caught for sure!" Lucia gave up. She had enough bantering with Aaron, in this round, she lost to him. But the next time, she will win for sure.

'How dare he tell me what to do.'

"Of we are. Did you think that my sister and I will go all the way here just to have a small conversation with you?" Aaron sarcastically asked, and that leveled up that irritation Lucia have for him.

"With his sarcasm aside, how are going to our destination?" Anna looked around, but she can't see any vehicle near them. It made her wonder if Lucia even thought of what ride they are going to use before inviting her and her brother out.

"Oh, don't worry about it. I have someone park in front of a nearby store here. I can't really bring our ride here since it can cause suspicion in people's eyes."
