Chapter 498 - Revenge 499: Bad Feeling

Name:REBORN: Revenge Author:C_J_Taganna
"Why didn't you ask?"

"Why would I ask? Besides, I was running late for class that I didn't bother to approach them." Leon was in fact curious about what were the twins doing with those students. But he didn't have the time to talk to them when he heard that bell rang.

"You've always been late for class. Why were you even worried about being late?" Nathalia sarcastically asked. Every single day, Leon never comes to class on time, and if he does, it was only because he is setting up a prank for his target.

"As you said, I've always been late for class and I prefer it that way, you know? But a certain someone is nagging me about it, and I can't stand that person's voice. So I have no choice but to go to class early."

As to who Leon is talking about, he means Anna's father. Apparently, Arion hired someone to keep his apartment clean and have that someone to cook for his meal, in addition to that, that someone also has to report everything back to Arion.

Leon is still speechless about the fact that Arion is still treating him like a kid. It feels like he is being punished for nothing.

"What is your deal anyway? It's not like it's any of your business on where the twins go." He said, then he took a spoonful of his food. He didn't notice that glare Nathalia is giving him.

The bystanders, on the other hand, are somewhat enjoying listening to the conversation between Nathalia and Loen.

"He's asking for a beating," Zen whispered to Josh.

"That's what he gets for talking like that in the first place." Josh doesn't care whatever happens to Leon. Right now, what he really cares about is to make sure that he gets enough rest when he gets home.

Annoyed at Leon's response, Nathalia kicked his knee under that table.

"Seriously? If you're that upset, don't take it out on me. Geez!" Leon groaned in pain. He can't believe that Nathalia kicked his knee.

'Can't she understand that my beloved food needs my whole attention?'

"That went well more than what I've expected," Aaron commented as he dragged a guard's unconscious body to the corner.

"We're only halfway towards our target. Sooner or later, some of the guards will notice that there is no one is patrolling on this side of the property, so it's better for us to hurry and finish this immediately."

Anna stared at Lucia as if she is her idol. The way Lucia talked just now is making Anna idolized Lucia more.

Not too long ago, Lucia was against the idea of her being the leader, but now, she looks like she's been leading a team for a long time now. Just as the twins suspected, being the lead comes out so natural for Lucia.

"Just as we planned earlier, we will split up, one group will go and find the contract of that man with his clients, and the other group will go and eliminate our target." Earlier when there was a debate on who is the group going to kill their target and who is the group going to search for the contract.

In the end, they let the person who drove them here to decided. Anna and Lucia will go and eliminate their target, while Aaron and Ophius will go and find the contract. Both boys were not happy with the task they were given, but they have no other choice. Whether they like it or not, they will comply with it.

"Let's go, Anna. I heard from one of the guards that he is currently on his study office on the east side of this mansion." Lucia said, then they left.

"She didn't even say a word on how to find the contract," Ophius muttered, but Aaron heard it.

"She didn't say anything because she has no idea where it is. Naturally, it would on that guy's study office, but that would be too easy to find."

"Any idea where it could be?" Ophius never had this kind of mission given to him, so all of this stealthiness is new to him. And he's afraid that he might make a huge mistake and cause all of them to be found by their enemy.

'Hopefully, nothing will happen today.'

"His bedroom. That's the only place I could think of." Usually, people, like their target, are the types to hide their most precious item in the bedroom.

"Then we're going to the opposite side of the mansion." For some reason, Ophius is having a bad feeling about this mission. He's been feeling it since earlier, but he just shrugged it off. As they are nearing at the end of their mission, he is somewhat convinced that there is something more to this mission of theirs.

"You know, Aaron, this place is giving me the bad vibes. I can't figure out what it is though." Ophius shared his thoughts before he regrets not doing it. It's not all the time, but whenever he gets this kind of feeling, bad things always happen.

"I see. You felt it too, huh." Since he's been thought to sharpen his senses about his surrounding, it's not hard for Aaron to not notice that there is something fishy going about this place.

He didn't say a word about it because he is not quite sure yet, but since Ophius mentioned it, it's not a bad thing to believe that there could be a trap set up for them.

Aaron reached out to his earpiece and said, "Anna, can you hear me?"

Not a minute later, Anna responded. But her voice is lower than what it is supposed to. "Yes. I'm here, brother."

"Your voice... Did something happened on your side?" He worriedly asked. Just one word from his sister's mouth, he will immediately forget about the contract and go to her side. Right now, his sister's life is much more important than anything else.

"Something did happen, but nothing bad is happening to me and Lucia yet."

Ophius heard it through his earpiece and that made him frown. "What's that supposed to mean?" Whatever it is that Anna is talking about, they should not stay in one place and leave immediately. Waiting to get themselves harmed is not the right thing to do at the moment.

"It means that we're not harmed and there is nothing for you two to worry about," Lucia spoke in a sarcastic tone.

"Now is not the time for you to use that tone on us, Lucia. We have no idea what's going on on your side, so better answer reasonably." If the situation were normal, Aaron would love to play along with Lucia, but now is not the best time for them to play around.

On the other end of the line, Lucia sighed, then she responded to Aaron in a serious manner. "Aaron, I know that you and Ophius are worried, but you should focus on what you two are doing and less on us. We might girls, but we can protect our selves."

"Even if we wanted to leave, we just can't." Anna looks at the direction where their target is at. There she saw their target talking to someone who is very familiar to her and her brother.

"Explain."

"The man... The man who killed Alexandre's mother is here, talking to our target. It seems like they share the same business and is discussing it."

Anna wanted to go there and kill their target immediately, but she is not that stupid. No matter how much she wanted to complete her mission now, she just can't. She is at a complete disadvantage facing that man.

The only thing that she can do now is to listen to them and careful not to be found out by them. If she can manage to get valuable information from them, then she might be able to ease up her parents' problem with this man.

"Anna... I want you to be careful and make sure that you get any valuable information from them." After hearing her brother say that, the line from their earpiece turned off.

"I didn't expect your brother to say that," Lucia is surprised that Aaron didn't even try to convince Anna to get away from their spot immediately. She can tell that Aaron trusts in Anna very deeply.

'There is no person in the world who can trust other people that deeply, but these twins, they're different.' Lucia inwardly commented.

"Anyways, what's the deal with that guy?" When they are about to end their target's life, Anna suddenly pulled her into hiding. At first, she was confused on why Anna did that, but looking at Anna's serious expression, it tells her that the guy with their target is not someone they can handle so easily.

"From what I heard, his name is Johan Clarke. He also trained under my mother's Master. I don't fully know the details about this guy, but my mother and her friends are always careful around that guy."
