"Why do you even care about that? I mean, they have no proof that your father did it." Lannie frowned. When people look at her as if she did something wrong, Lannie would always turn around and ignore them.
Those kinds of people who talk as if all of it is true are not worthy of her time. 'They only talk because they have nothing better to do.' She inwardly said.
"Lannie, I wish I have that same optimism like yours. But unfortunately, some people don't care about proof. They will only believe what they wanna believe, and they will talk about what they wanna talk about." The only thing that Anna can do is sigh and wish for this to not blow upon her face.
"Then what do you suggest? You can't just stay quiet. It will make you look guilty." Now, Lannie is starting to feel guilty. She might be the reason why Arion went and did that, but then again, if he had not done that, Veronica might still be trying to harass Anna.
"I'll try talking to my father and ask him to find a way to point the blame to someone or something else. That way, no one will have to talk bad about my sister." Aaron suggested. He admits that it is not the best plan, but there is no other option he could think of.
"Blame someone else? That's a bit too much, and I don't like that idea, brother." Anna would not like the idea of using someone else to take the blame for this matter, even if someone has a bad relationship with Veronica's family.
Anna would not want to use her family name in the kind of method.
"You're not suggesting anything, Anna. This is the only thing I could think of, and I'm sure our dear father will want to use this method." Hearing from her brother, Anna somehow has this urge to swing her fist towards him.
'Why does it always have to be like this? Why can't you just think of an alternative way to fix things, brother?' Anna inwardly asked.
"You know what, I'm going to talk to our mother. Out of all of our family members, I think she's the only reasonable one." It would be best to go to their mother and not to their father. If Anna let her brother deal with this problem on his own, then it would result badly.
"Why do I get the feeling that you're saying that I'm useless." Aaron sulked. His sister barely relies on him nowadays, and he feels neglected because of it. Nowadays, most of his sister's focus is on Kyle.
She and that man have been talking about making their father, Arion Coleman, slowly accept and give his blessing.
"That's because you showing it like you are useless, Aaron. Why do you have to think like your father and not think like your mother?" Nathalia, who has been listening to the whole time, can't help but make a comment. Somehow, Nathalia is starting to believe that someday, her father and Aaron will get along because of their way of thinking when facing their enemy.
'It's scary to imagine what they can do if they do get along.'
"You're saying that I'm like my father? No. I am not like my father. Not at all." Until now, Aaron still refused to believe that he and his father are alike, and whenever he hears people say that, he firmly denies that and makes a face that says, 'I'm disgusted.'
Whenever Anna sees that face, she is always in disbelief. She wonders for how long will her brother will act like this. He is not a kid anymore, and he needs to be more accepting that their father will be part of their lives until the day he dies.

Back at the Robertson manor, Kyle is not pleased that someone took care of Veronica other than him. He has been planning on doing it once he is done with his father's task, but he did not expect that he is too late.
"Who the hell took care of these bastards?" He mumbled.
"I did. You got a problem with that, brat?" Kyle flinched when he heard that familiar voice. He turned around and saw Arion standing behind him with a meaningful look plastered on his face.
Kyle remained silent. He did not know what to say. He did not even expect Arion to be at his home, and Anna did not say a word about it. If someone had given him a heads up, he could have appropriately greeted Arion. If he does that, he will look like he is trying too hard, and it might get on Arion's nerves. 'How annoying this is.' He inwardly said.
"Hmm? Not going to say anything?" Staring at Kyle, Arion inwardly scoffed. From the whispers that he has been hearing, they all say that Kyle is hard to read. But this young man in front of him is quite an open book.
"Honestly, I do have a problem with it." Since Arion likes people who are being honest with him, Kyle decided that he might tell the truth.
"And why is that?"
"Because I want to deal with that person personally. She kept on trying to harass Anna in any chance that she gets."
"Then why didn't you do it before? Why wait?" Arion frowned. If Kyle wanted to punish Veronica personally, then why did he wait? He should have done it after the first time Veronica tried to humiliate his little girl.
"My father, that's why." Coincidentally, Stan happens to pass by when he heard his son mentioning him. "He kept on giving me tasks, and whenever I'm done with it, he gives me more tasks saying that it needs to be done right away."
Kyle can't remember the time his father gave him a break. Although he is in training and has no right to complain about the tasks he is given that does not mean he doesn't deserve any breaks from it.
"So you're saying that it's your father's fault that you barely spend more time with my daughter and you could not find the time to get rid of Veronica, is that it?" Knowing that Kyle is in training, Arion believed him. Arion still remembers the time his father gave him a lot of work and wasn't able to find the time to spend more time with Mary back then.
At that time, he frustrated and wanted to give up. Every minute that he does his tasks, he was cursing at his father. Blaming his father that he and Mary have not been together for a very long time.
"What?! It's my fault? I mean, it could be my fault!" Stan's voice startled Arion and Kyle. Stan gets near his son and cried, "My son, I'm so sorry. You should have said something! Oh, my precious son, please don't be angry at Daddy!"
Kyle is frozen from the hug his father is giving him. He did not expect this to happen and did not want it.
Even though Arion doesn't like to see Stan being like what he is doing now, he is wondering why does Kyle has the same expression as his son when he tries to be like a loving father. 'Why do they have to make that kind of face. All we wanted is to express our love, is it that hard to accept it.'
"Father, please, stop hugging me." Kyle does not mind hugging his father, but this kind of hug is not what he wants. He keeps telling that to Stan, but Stan never listens.
"Why? Are you embarrassed because this guy is here? Don't be! He doesn't mind!" Stan pouted. It's rare for him to do this to his son, yet Kyle doesn't like it. He feels like he is not being loved back by his son. 'My life is so sad! My son doesn't love me anymore!' He inwardly cried.
"I do mind, Stan. And I am not here to watch you being an overly loving father, I'm here to get my business here done so I can get home before dinner." If his purpose his were not important, he could have sent Leon instead. Being around Stan does make him go crazy.
"I already told Mary that you are going to have dinner here and she said it's okay." Stan already expected this to happen, so he immediately texted Mary that Arion is going to stay longer. He has a plan that he needs to execute and Arion is a part of that plan. "Oh! She also said that don't go home until you have eaten your dinner because there won't be any leftover for you to eat at home."
"That's nonsense. My wife would never say that."
"Are you calling me a liar? You can take a look at my conversation with your wife to confirm." Stan confidently said.
