"They are? Well, I hope they succeed. After all, the first move in every plan is very crucial."
If Layla were in their shoes, she would not let her kids make that first move. But on the other hand, Mary and Arion know what they are doing. She has yet seen those two fail on every plan they made.
"Do you mind if I make a suggestion?" Kyle suddenly said. Everyone glances at him, quite shock that he is sharing his opinion.
Arion finds it very interesting that Kyle spoke up. For some reason, he can already guess what the young man is about to suggest. "Do tell," he said.
"Can I go and do it instead of Anna?" Although Kyle is not sure what kind of move the twins are making to make, it would be best that he would go instead. He does not want Anna to get hurt in any way.
"It's nice of you to say that, but I think I can allow that," Arion said. The more encounters Arion has with Kyle, the more he thinks that Kyle is more than it seems.
'You would go that far, huh?'
"You won't? Why?" From what Kyle has seen so far, Arion will consider anything if it is for the sake of his children, especially for his only girl.
'Do I have to say that I will go by myself instead of the twins? Is that what he wants me to say?' Kyle inwardly asked.
Kyle is about to open his mouth, but his mother cuts him off. "Kyle, the twins' position is quite similar to yours. They will do anything to make the people around them to recognize their skills, and this mission is one of those things. If you go instead of Anna, what will anyone think of her?"
"Think about it, son. Because Anna's parents are exceptional and are respected by everyone, they expect more from the twins. It is the kind of pressure that the twins want to live up to." Stan added. In fact, Stan can understand where the twins are coming from. He and the twins are similar because of their parents, but the only difference is that he went on a different path.
He rebelled against his father and his own way in making everyone acknowledge him, while the twins, on the other hand, they take what is given to them and make it to their advantage. They do that to have people see them as the person they are, more important than their parents in the people's eyes.
"And I'm pretty sure that my daughter will not agree with your suggestion, Kyle." The Colemans are full of stubborn people. They don't like others to think that they can't do it. Even though it is hard, they want to strive for it. The harder it is, the more worth it, and people will never have to think of them negatively.
"Brother, you should know by now that Anna wouldn't like it if you say that. In this situation, the only thing you can do is support her." Lannie doesn't understand how underworld business works, but she does know that it is dangerous, and she understands why her brother suggested that.
However, terms of making people understand the twins are something that Lannie profoundly understands. Since she is not the firstborn and is not a boy, everyone expected her to be just a normal spoiled princess and live her life without worrying about anything else.
Those kinds of expectations are something that Lannie can never stomach. They only see her as that kind of person. Everything that she does is not enough for them to say that she is more than what they think of her. Even now, she is still struggling to make them see her for what she really is.
'Brother, you can never understand.'
Sometimes, Lannie envies her brother. The people around them think of her brother better than what they think of her.
Kyle remained silent. He did not know what to say. Both sides are right, even if he tries to stop Anna from going, she won't listen, and as Lannie said, the best thing she could do is support her through and through.
"A piece of advice, Kyle, talking to each other is what it counts in a relationship. Without good communication, well, your relationship with my daughter is practically useless and a waste of time." In every relationship, communicating with each other is essential. He learned that from his time dating Mary years ago.
They both were not good at communicating, which ended up with a lot of misunderstandings. Looking back at those memories, he feels ashamed at how he and Mary acted.
"Wow, Arion. Are you starting to like my son?" Stan smirked while staring at Arion. If Arion says such words, then it could mean that his son is almost there, at the first finish line.
'It's a good sign, my son! Keep doing what you are doing, and you will get there in no time!' Stan inwardly cheered for Kyle.
"Urk..." Arion happens to realize what he just did. He should be saying words that could help Kyle strengthen its relationship with his daughter.
'Stupid! I got caught up in a moment.'
"Feeling regret now? Hah! It's too late!" Stan laughs. It is as if he won a big prize.
"Stop laughing. You look like a child." Arion gritted his teeth. He shouldn't be affected by it, but Stan's laugh is getting on his nerves.
"Oh, Arion. You are cute when you're angry. Now I see why Mary falls for a guy like you." While saying that, Stan has this urge to pinch Arion's cheek. But knowing what will his end result, he decided not to do it.
"Stan, if you don't stop now, I will kill you," Arion said in a threatening manner, but Stan doesn't seem to be affected by it.
Watching the scene in from of her, Layla feels annoyed by it. They are currently eating their dinner, yet her husband and Arion decided to act like bickering children. If they keep this going, she might actually blow up a fuse, and it is not going to do any of them any good.
"Mom, are you going to let them be?" Lannie doesn't mind watching her father and Arion doing what they are doing now, but she knows her mother's temper. Her mother should stop them while it is still early.
"No. They both are ruining everyone's dinner." Layla said. When there is a guest, she always held her temper back. But since the guest is Arion, it shouldn't be a problem if she shows them her wrong side. "If you idiots don't stop right now, there will be consequences."
The volume of her voice is loud enough for everyone to hear, but for some reason, Arion and Stan are still at it. It seems to her that these men chose to ignore her.
"I'm seriously telling you, Stan. You really need to stop it."
"Stop? Why should I? It's fun making you angry."
"Mother, do you want to eat somewhere quieter than this place? I can accompany you if that's what you want?" In Kyle's opinion, his mother should move away from here than to telling those two to shut their mouths. She will only waste her energy on them.
"I second that, Layla. Let these two gentlemen bicker all they want, and we'll move to someplace else." Elijah is embarrassed that at his son's age, Stan is still acting like a child, and he is quite speechless that Arion is stooping at the same level as his son.
Without any further notice, all of them except for Stan and Arion moved away from the dining table. The only people who had a satisfying dinner is them and not the two other gentlemen.

"This is what Aaron and I are supposed to do?" Anna asked. For the first time, she is not sure if she has the right ability to succeed in the task her mother has given to her and her brother.
'This is such an important mission. I don't know if I'm capable of doing it.' She inwardly said.
Mary stared at her daughter. She can tell that her daughter is having doubts about herself. Though she can't blame Anna for having such thoughts. This is the first most important mission she is giving to the twins and they expect no less than succeeding in this plan.
"Yes. Anna, I know that you're father and I are giving you and your brother a lot of pressure in this matter, but we do need this to succeed." Mary and her husband could have chosen Leon or any other people for this task, but she believes in her children and she chose to trust every mission they might make during this task.
"Mom, you and Father are giving us more than just pressure. You do know that, right?" Aaron slightly smiled. He too is not entirely about himself. He has succeeded in many missions, and there were a few failed ones, but none of those missions can compare to the one they have now.
'I think this is the worst mission, ever.' He inwardly commented.
