Chapter 339: Tianlong Yun Dies

While one of his hands went to pierce his body, the other one went to grab the white jade bottle with the panacea.

Tianlong Yun seemed really startled by this action of the old man, even though he had been waiting for it, he didn't expect him to go and aim his heart, and the white jade bottle at the same time.

The old man was thinking that Tianlong Yun would surely protect his life, and let the white jade bottle with the panacea go.

His goal was clear he wanted the panacea, he didn't really want his life. But he had never thought that Tianlong Yun would value the panacea more than his life.

Tianlong Yun did not protect his heart but tried to destroy the panacea so that the old man wouldn't be able to take it.

He sent his Qi towards the panacea in order to break the pills and make them useless. But the old man was nonetheless a cultivator of the 7th level of the Nascent Soul Realm, so he managed to protect one.

The other one truly exploded and lost all its medicinal effect, which made the old man really angry, and it inspired inside him the desire to kill Tianlong Yun.

Only at that time was he reminded that his other hand targeted Tianlong Yun's heart, and he didn't do anything to defend from that hand.

At that moment he was reminded that he had just done a big blunder, and things hadn't worked out just like in his mind, and expectations.

Not only had he lost one of the panacea's but he had also unwillingly killed the person he shouldn't kill in this mission, Tianlong Yun.

In this situation, he immediately pulled his hand out of Tianlong Yun's chest and turned his head to look firstly at the girl that had been beside Tianlong Yun earlier, Zi Qian, but she wasn't in her place anymore.

She had disappeared in thin air and was nowhere to be found. The situation seemed more and more desperate at the moment.

Then he turned around and had a look at the old men that were part of his team. They were all looking at him with weird and complicated looks.

According to his original plan, he was supposed to have captured Tianlong Yun by himself, and also take the panacea from him.

Then he would find a way to bribe a part of his team, with the second panacea, as he killed the rest. Like this, he could also blame someone else for the stealing of the panacea.

As for Tianlong Yun, he didn't plan on letting him alive for much longer, as the situation with the Shadow clan would soon escalate, and he could use the commotion to finish him and blame someone else.

But now everything was wrong! Everything had gone wrong, Tianlong Yun was dead at his feet, not breathing, one of the panaceas was destroyed, and the others were mad at him.

No matter what, none of the guys in that team would accept the responsibility of killing one of the direct disciples of the Shadow Clan.

Each and every one of them would surely snitch on the fact that he had killed Tianlong Yun. Probably they would even add some extra shit just to give him a good push.

Not to mention that right now he had the left panacea in his hands. If earlier they didn't dare to take it, as it belonged to Tianlong Yun and the Shadow Clan.

Everything changed at the moment, as now it was their duty to take the precious panacea from the hands of the traitor that killed the Direct Disciple of the Shadow Clan.

This was enough of an excuse for them to fight against the old man, and try to take the panacea for themselves.

The problem at first was his strength, as he was a cultivator of the 7th level of the Nascent Soul Realm, but if they worked together, they could take him down easily.

If it was before and he had Tianlong Yun's help, they probably could only escape, hopefully with their lives, but right now they had more than a chance to easily take him down.

But while this was the opinion of the majority, there was a group of people who didn't know what to do, and what way to choose.

It was the other people from the Tang family, at first they had thought that the old man had betrayed the family, and was collaborating with the enemy.

But now that they saw what he did, and how things went, they didn't know what to think anymore. Should they back him up, or should they attack him just like the rest?

Of course, the members were divided into two groups, as one of them wanted to support him, as at the end of the day, he was their elder, and also a powerhouse of the Clan.

And the other group wanted to join the other two families, to show their sincerity to them, and tell them that not all the people of the Tang family were like that old man.

Noticing this situation, the old man with the panacea on his hand thought that a fight was inevitable and that he would probably lose more than just the panacea if he had no one to help him a bit.

With this thought in mind, he sent a few mental messages to some of the people he thought were the easiest to bribe and turn to his side, as he prepared for the battle.

On the other hand, the two old men of the 6th level of the Nascent Soul Realm, and the members of their own families were trying to regroup, and prepare a tactical attack towards that guy.

They left the other Tang family members outside of their plan, as they couldn't truly trust them with their lives.

There was no medicine for regret in this world, if it existed, surely the old 'senior' would have swallowed it when he killed Tianlong Yun.

Unfortunately, there wasn't, and they didn't want to do a mistake by trusting in those guys, but if they truly wanted to show their, and their family's integrity, they were more than welcomed to attack first.

In other words, they could go on and act as cannon fodder for them to beat their senior, and take the panacea from him, as they sent his body to the Tang family.

But before they could even think about this, the old senior that had been staying unmoving a moment ago, disappeared from his place, as he immediately jumped into the attack.

His first target was one of the elders of the Tang family, that hadn't accepted his offer, and he would most probably tell about his moles in the group if he didn't take care of him.

Also, he was one of the weakest in the group, and he had to take care of these annoying flies from the beginning if he didn't want to trip over them later.

With these thoughts in mind, his silhouette appeared behind that old man, as his Qi turned into a silver sword, and he made a cutting gesture towards his body.

He hadn't held back in the least at that moment, as the silver Qi sword passed through the guy's body like a hot knife through butter, cutting him in two halves.

Cruel! Too cruel! A few moments ago that guy had been a friend and a member of the same family. They shared the same blood, and yet he had been killed without a full body.

The people in the crowd didn't seem to care much about that, they just saw and let it happen like it was a natural thing, as they used this time to prepare an attack towards the 'senior'.

In a way one could say that they used the guy as live bait, to try and kill the 'senior'. That cultivator's life wasn't worth it to them.

The 'senior' didn't seem to be surprised by this fact, he thought it was only logical and reasonable. If he were in their position he would have done the same.

In this game the most important player was him, as long as he got shot down, then it was game over for him, and the next guy who took the panacea would take his place.

It was a good thing that he had much more powerful cultivation than the others, and he managed to convince a few of his former comrades to fight alongside him.

While thinking like this, he disappeared once again from where he was, as he tried to jump towards the group. Of course, he couldn't escape unscathed, as two attacks had grazed him.

There was a palm imprint, and a few claw marks on his chest, courtesy of the two level 6 Nascent Soul Realm cultivators.

While the two attacks didn't cause him a lot of damage, they were still nonetheless really painful. This made him clench his teeth, as he went after his new targets.

At the same time, understanding that they would be nothing more than cannon fodder if they went against their former team leader, the Tang family members, joined him and attacked the rest.

Pretty soon, a chaotic battle, with different skills of colorful Qi flying around, and hot blood squirting of dead bodies spread in the surroundings.

Everyone's goal at that moment was to kill their enemy and escape this chaos alive. Nobody cared what happened to the others.

There were also people who tried to escape in the chaos, but there seemed to be some kind of barrier in the surroundings that didn't allow them to leave this place.

They were entrapped, and imprisoned in this place, with no way out besides finding the guy who set up the barrier and killing him.

But none of the powerful trio seemed to think about that, as they were concentrated in their own fight…
