13 Backup!

Xiao Wei's eyes darkened. This wasn't a hospital. This is a torture place.

Her whole body shuddered as she thought about the pain she went through. Her medical knowledge allowed her knowledge about how painful these serums can be. And four doses on top of that?

She took the file. And came out of the secret room. She slowly locked the cupboard and looked at the time. 2:47 am. It was already way past midnight. She was in here for more than 5 hours.

Just as she tried to open the big door to go out.

Her mind was already in puddles. But she calmed herself and thought that it's a private hospital. Only the patient rooms and emergency rooms are available at this time. Everything else is locked down and no staff. Which include the 9th floor!

Wallace's POV

I know where she's going. I know she can take care of herself, she's strong. I've already placed cameras around the hospital. I want her to be safe at any cost.

Wallace chuckled at Xiao Wei trick with the itching powder. "Mmh. Not dangerous enough to kill?" Wallace smiled gently.

He watched her looking for the files for hours. His heart clenched at the efforts she was giving. He could've asked his men to look for it. It would've taken less than an hour. But he knew if he did that, Xiao Wei wouldn't believe him. He kept watching the girl intently without eating or drinking anything, he could never eat when this girl is going without food.

He saw her reading the journal about her. He gave off a deadly menacing aura. He would torture the person who tortured Xiao Wei for years before letting him die. He held back because he wanted Xiao Wei to feel the pleasure herself. She wouldn't like it if he did things for her. Just as she came out, he put on his blazer and smiled to himself, "You're strong, but I'll make you stronger."

I got in the hospital and because of my authority no one questioned me. I got in the private elevator so no one could see which floor I was getting off on either. 9th floor. And I slowly opened the door after my assistant hacked the lock within seconds. I saw her on the floor. Pale, tired and worn out. My heart was crying. But I know I shouldn't stop her. It's for her own good. And I'm her backup!

I picked her up gently, so she doesn't get hurt.

"You've worked hard", I whispered as I placed a light peck on her forehead.
