Chapter 54

“Siyan! The grilled fish is really good! We’ve already had a couple of them. It’s delicious!”

Pei Lele also called Pei Siyan and then ran to grab bowls and chopsticks.

“It’s good indeed. I’m not sure if it is because of Xi Que’s awesome cooking skill or the fish is good itself.”

Hei Ming’s smile was bright and meaningful as if he meant something else in his words.

“Why are you here?” Bai Hao was surprised.

‘Why didn’t he stay put inside my room and walked downstairs for the grilled fish instead?’

“It was me! I invited my tenth brother downstairs! I haven’t blamed you for hiding my tenth brother yet. Who gave you the right to question him? My tenth brother is not your pet. What’s wrong with him showing up downstairs?”

Pei Lele had explained for Hei Ming before he spoke. And her tone talking to Bai Hao was obviously full of discontent.

“Good girl. I know you are speaking for me, but how can you blame my wife for that? I’ll get mad at you because of that. Do you understand?”

Hei Ming stroked Pei Lele’s hair and spoke as if he was coaxing a child.

“But he yelled at you!” Pei Lele pouted her mouth resentfully.

His brothers had changed now. They used to pamper her while now they had all turned to their wives.

“Who’s your wife again? Shut up.”

Bai Hao didn’t blush or panic but glared at Hei Ming.

But the expression on Hei Ming’s face was a bit sad. Because Bai Hao used to be at least panic for a little, but now he wouldn’t anymore.

Pei Lele perceived Hei Ming’s expression and she looked less delightful in her eyes.

‘What now? Everyone is having a painful life and love story?’

“Ugh, you two! Come and sit over here.”

Pei Lele grabbed Bai Hao over and pressed him to sit beside Hei Ming.

Just like Hei Ming, she was also the legitimate child of Pei Siyan’s father. Nonetheless because her mother was from a famous and reputable family, she got to inherit the surname of the Pei Family, so she had a slightly better status than Hei Ming.

But her status in the Pei Family wasn’t really high since her mother was not the wife but a concubine.

“Try this, Pei Siyan. It’s really good.” Jiang Sheng picked a piece of fish to Pei Siyan’s mouth and looked at him with expectation.

Pei Siyan was stunned for a second for Jiang Sheng was just acting like his wife now.

“How is it? How is it? Is it really tender and you can taste the sweetness in it?”

Seeing that Pei Siyan had eaten the fish, Jiang Sheng couldn’t wait to ask with his eyes glowing.

However, Hei Ming was trying his best to hold back his laughter, “Have some more of it. You don’t get the chance to eat it normally.”

He held his smile back as he kept picking more fish into Bai Hao’s bowl.

Bai Hao twitched his mouth a bit, “I can do it myself. There’s no need picking that much for me.”

‘Why is he holding his smile all the time?’

Hei Ming’s expression confused Bai Hao, but he didn’t suspect anything wrong with the fish. After taking a bite, he exclaimed, “It is good indeed! Delicious.”

“Right? Xi Que’s cooking skill is really professional, isn’t she?” Jiang Sheng moved over to Bai Hao immediately.

But by the next second, Pei Siyan picked him up by the back of his neck and put him back to the seat. He then sat beside him.

“What was that for?” Jiang Sheng was puzzled; he looked at Pei Siyan innocently.

“Shut up.”

That was the only two words he got from Pei Siyan.

It was actually because Pei Siyan got upset for seeing Jiang Sheng moving around Bai Hao and he was not cool with it.

“Can’t you see, my second sister-in-law? My brother is jealous.” Hei Ming joked about it right away.

“What? He’s jealous? Are you kidding me?” Jiang Sheng didn’t take that seriously.

Hei Ming raised his eyebrows after he heard what Jiang Sheng had just said.

‘It looks like he did lose his memory just like Bai Hao told me. He is nothing like this before.’

“How is it? It’s really good, isn’t it?” Hei Ming turned to Pei Siyan suddenly and asked with a smile.

“Not bad, what?” Pei Siyan replied calmly.

Hei Ming almost burst into laughter after he heard that, “I’ll show you much respect if you can say that again later.”
