“Nah, I won’t drink your blood. Just get me a cup of water when we arrive there.”

Jiang Sheng didn’t bite him in the end; he laid down on his stomach in Pei Siyan’s arms and was breathing weakly.

He dragged his collar from time to time and then fanned himself with his hands. He just lay in Pei Siyan’s arms with his eyes closed, looking restless.

Pei Siyan stunned again, he opened his mouth as if he was going to say something yet he shut it slowly after.

A while later, he still asked, “Why? Why did you just give up all of a sudden?”

His voice was low and deep but with a sense of expectation in it.

He wanted to know the answer, and he urgently wanted to know what Jiang Sheng thought of him.

“The answer is obvious! You will feel pain if I bite you! You are not made of steel or something.”

Jiang Sheng’s voice was not loud and he said that lazily. He then wiggled a bit in Pei Siyan’s embrace, trying to find a better and more comfortable angle.

Jiang Sheng’s answer hit Pei Siyan again. Deep down in his heart, warmness permeated.

He smiled with softness and a touch of satisfaction in it.

Maybe the one Pei Siyan had been waiting for was just a considerate reincarnation of Lan Yuan, not the bossy Lan Yuan he knew before.

Bai Hao and Hei Ming were also a bit surprised. Jiang Xiao was strange yet somehow attractive to them.

At least his temper and personality were good. Unlike the Lan Yuan they knew who was willful and arrogant, and all he had done was fooling Pei Siyan around.

“My dear wife.”

Pei Siyan called gently as he subconsciously hugged Jiang Sheng tighter and buried his head in his neck.

“What?”

Jiang Sheng’s voice was still powerless. He leaned on Pei Siyan as he breathed weakly.

“Nothing, I just want to call you.”

At this point, Pei Siyan had already accepted the fact that Jiang Sheng was the reincarnation of Lan Yuan.

Because all he was wishing was a Lan Yuan like this. And Jiang Sheng was exactly like the person he pictured in his mind.

“Are you sure you are calling me?” Jiang Sheng mumbled with jealousy, but he wasn’t really mad.

He was getting used to it now. He was used to being called wife by Pei Siyan and his temper as well as his every single move.

‘Lan Yuan is lucky indeed! To have a man who loves him almost forever.’

Jiang Sheng was getting even more jealous and pouted his lips unpleasantly.

But he knew there was no use getting jealous. After all, Lan Yuan was dead and there would be no need keeping that in mind to upset himself.

“Pei Siyan, my belly isn’t feeling really well. Rub it for me, will you?” Jiang Sheng said that abruptly. His sound was soft as if he was playing the woman but he actually wasn’t.

He was just too weak to speak, and the heat was making him ill as his belly was also uncomfortable.

“Sure thing.”

Pei Siyan did everything as he asked. He rubbed Jiang Sheng’s belly gently and kissed his hair subconsciously.

Jiang Sheng was feeling a bit weird suddenly because Pei Siyan was kissing him way more frequently now.

‘What’s his deal? Why does he kiss me so often?’

Jiang Sheng was bewildered. Even though he didn’t hate it, he would still be a bit surprised by his kisses because Pei Siyan’s move was so smooth and natural.

‘Could it be that he had really taken me as his wife?’

After Jiang Sheng had concluded that could be the most likely reason for his action, he stopped thinking of it.

Even though he was not that pleasant in his mind, he was relying on Pei Siyan to live. He had covered every penny of his cost of living.

Thus, he decided to let Pei Siyan kiss him as a reward! He wouldn’t lose anything because of that. Plus, he didn’t hate it himself.

But once he thought of him owing Pei Siyan that tremendous amount of money, he became agitated.

‘Goddamn it! That’s over a billion yuan! How am I supposed to pay for that?

Wait wait wait… Hold on a second… I won’t need to pay for that if I’m married to Pei Siyan, right?

Holy crap! I’m a genius! I can even get some money even if things go south and we get divorced in the future!
