“Of course I’m fine! How can I be injured when I have a powerful bodyguard like Xi Que by my side, right?”

Not sure if it was because that he hadn’t been hugged by Pei Siyan for a while, Jiang Sheng was a bit nervous, and so was his voice and breathing.

Then, he looked to the side awkwardly when he finished saying that; he didn’t have the courage to look Pei Siyan in his face.

Probably because he felt a bit guilty, or maybe because Xi Que’s warning of not trusting Pei Siyan gave him complicated feelings.

Sensing that there was something wrong with Jiang Sheng’s reaction, Pei Siyan held Jiang Sheng’s face in hands and looked at him worriedly.

“I’m, I’m here.” Jiang Sheng put on an awkward smile, but his eyes were always avoiding Pei Siyan as if he was trying his best not to make eye contact with him.

Pei Siyan frowned immediately, “What’s wrong?”

“No! Nothing! Nothing wrong happened!”

Jiang Sheng denied as hard as he could, but he was a terrible liar so Pei Siyan saw him through without making much effort.

“Bai Hao.”

Pei Siyan’s voice became more serious as he called Bai Hao; his eyes were getting cold and dangerous.

“Yes.”

Bai Hao moved his eyes away from Xi Que who was still hanging in midair and turned to Pei Siyan respectfully.

“What is this all about?” He questioned as his eyebrows were furrowed together angrily.

Bai Hao was looking confused; he didn’t know the true intention of Pei Siyan’s question. He thought he was asking about the kidnap, so he answered, “Jiang Sheng was kidnapped by Pei Siran, and our chef is his man.”

But Pei Siyan had known that already. It was the prime administrator, Qiao Nasi, who told him about that. She was now sitting in the host chair, smiling while stroking her chin and watching all these happening with a smile on her face.

Qiao Nasi wouldn’t be able to keep Pei Siyan here if he didn’t know who had kidnapped Jiang Sheng or his safety. He would have killed his way out of here if that was the case.

After all, Jiang Sheng had been missing for hours without leaving any messages; he couldn’t give a damn to the rules of the city by then.

“Come over here, Jiang Family’s boy. Let me have a closer look at you.”

Qiao Nasi crooked her finger to beckon him to the seat above.

“Who the hell do you think you are? What makes you think I will come to you? No way!”

Jiang Sheng was shouting at Qiao Nasi who was sitting above them, because Qiao Nasi just called him a “boy”, and that pissed him off.

Bai Hao almost threw up a gulp of blood. The boldness of Jiang Sheng just wouldn’t change, no matter where he was.

“This is the prime administrator, Qiao Nasi, whom I told you about on our way here! She’s the boss of this city!” Bai Hao reminded Jiang Sheng by his ear nervously.

“Okay! It’s she! So what? How can she call me a “boy” for the first met? I’m f**king sick of her attitude.” Jiang Sheng still didn’t think that he was wrong.

‘Bro, you are just a wimpy kid and she is the prime administrator of this city with powers in hand! What else do you want? Should she greet you on her knees?’

Bai Hao covered his face; he felt like the boldness of Jiang Sheng would lead them to a dead-end in the future.

“Just talk some sense into your wife! I’m terrified of his boldness.”

Bai Hao put on a helpless face and patted Pei Siyan on his shoulder; he just couldn’t deal with Jiang Sheng anymore.

Pei Siyan also sighed because he knew the best of Jiang Sheng’s boldness after all these times they spent together.

“If you have nothing important to say, I’ll take Pei Siyan back home.”

After he said so, Jiang Sheng dragged Pei Siyan and headed out, regardless of Qiao Nasi’s response. He also mumbled, “Goddamn it, I’ve been out for a whole damn day and I’m starving right now. Let’s go home and have some food.”

“How dare you! Our master has not granted that yet.”

The Four Elders blocked Jiang Sheng’s way out with anger on their faces.

Jiang Sheng was vexed right away, “Why the f**k are you blocking my way home for dinner? You know that you old bastards can die with a single kick of mine, right?”

Bai Hao covered his face again and commented inside, ‘You can’t just kick them to death. They are immortal human beings.

Xi Que gave Qiao Nasi who was above there a look of hatred and then followed up with Jiang Sheng.

Qiao Nasi stroked her chin and smiled at Xi Que’s hostility; she watched them leave and didn’t get mad at all.
