About two hours later, Hei Ming returned to the Branch Family.
He sat in the car, smoking, while quietly watching the villa in a daze and wasn’t going to walk in.
His subordinate had just said something wrong, so he dared not ask Hei Ming if he wanted to get out of the car now.
After five minutes, the subordinate finally couldn’t hold it anymore. He looked at Hei Ming and asked in a low voice, “Hei Ming, we’ve arrived at your place.”
“I know.”
Hei Ming replied coldly and spat out a wisp of smoke out of the car; his eyes were still fixed on the villa.
After a while, he looked up at a dark room on the second floor, which was the master bedroom he used to live with Bai Hao. Now that Bai Hao had been gone, he hadn’t slept there for a long time.
‘Okay, so you know you are here, why don’t you just go in?! It’s like 3:00 a.m., and I have to go back to sleep as well!’
His subordinate was mumbling in his heart, but he dared not speak it out frankly.
At this time, a lamp was turned on in the room next to the master bedroom. Bai Haotian pulled the curtain open and looked coldly at Hei Ming .
“Hey, it’s really late now and if you don’t need to sleep, somebody else will do. Stop being in a trance.”
Bai Haotian’s words made the subordinate felt embarrassed because Bai Haotian could read people’s mind and what he had said was exactly what he was thinking.
“Ha-ha, good night, young master!”
The subordinate immediately greeted him with a smile and lowered his head slightly.
Bai Haotian nodded gently. Then he glanced at Hei Ming and closed the curtain.
Hei Ming, who was smoking, suddenly cracked a smile for Bai Haotian’s personality was exactly the same as Bai Hao’s.
“You can go back to sleep! You must be exhausted, thanks. ”
Hei Ming finally got out of the car, stepped on the butt of the cigarette; he then straightened out his collar and strode into the villa.
“You are welcome! Rest early, master!”
Seeing that Hei Ming had finally left, the subordinate became happy and his words were kinder.
After entering the hall, Bai Haotian’s voice rang out on the stairs of the second floor, “Did you go to see him?”
Who he referred to, needless to say, was Bai Hao; Bai Haotian seemed to be a bit unhappy when he said that.
Maybe it was because Hei Ming didn’t take him to Bai Hao and went to visit him himself, so he was irritated.
“Your daddy has a name. Don’t just call him ‘he’.”
Hei Ming scratched his head agitatedly and then corrected Bai Haotian while lighting another cigarette.
“Anyway, you know whom I am talking about.”
Bai Haotian walked downstairs to the kitchen, heated up some food in the microwave and brought them to Hei Ming.
“Bet you didn’t have dinner yet.”
Bai Haotian put the food in front of Hei Ming and pointed at it with his chin, implying Hei Ming to eat the food while it was still hot.
Hei Ming was in a trance, he felt like he had seen Bai Hao just now.
Bai Hao would always wait for him and heat up the food considerately when he came back home late for work back then.
Hei Ming sighed sadly; he rubbed his face and he seemed to be in agony.
“You don’t need to do this. You should sleep first. Don’t wait for me.”
“Why didn’t you say that when my daddy did these for you?”
Bai Haotian sat down and looked at Hei Ming with his chin on his palms.
“Did the servants tell you that?” Hei Ming frowned immediately, “I’ll fire all of them tomorrow. They always talk too much.”
“I asked them myself. It’s none of their business.”
Bai Haotian wanted to know about the relationship between Hei Ming and Bai Hao, something about how they used to be together, so he asked those servants.
He had never asked these questions before, because he thought he was going to die anyway, and it would be meaningless for him to ask those questions. Maybe he would never see Bai Hao in this life.
It was Mo Xiaofan who changed him and told him that as long as he try hard enough, his wish would come true someday.
And his wish was to let Bai Hao know his existence. If he couldn’t live, he would die at least without regrets.
