“Oh right, I put that mask in Bai Hao’s room.”

Pei Siyang put Jiang Sheng in the bed, laid down himself, pulled the covers over the two of them and then said.

“Why?!” You wanna give it to Bai Hao? I like that mask, you know. “Jiang Sheng frowned.

“No, I just left it there for a while. You said you were tired and suddenly fell asleep. It should be related to that mask. Bai Hao and I suspect that it may steal your spirit power and make you feel tired.

“Seriously?” Just a mask? ”

It was easy to tell that Jiang Sheng did not believe it, but Pei Siyang would not lie to him about this.

“That is something made with spiritual power. It definitely has something to do with the exorcist. There are many strange people amongst them.  Who knows what kind of scary thing they would do?

Pei Siyang’s words were full of dissatisfaction toward the exorcists.

That made some sense anyway. The exorcists have always been hostile to them.

The exorcists believed  that they were non-human, they were dirty and ominous things that would harm humans.

Therefore, they’d spare no effort to kill them all to serve the Heaven, regardless of whether the non-human was good or bad.

“What’s the difference between an exorcist and an onmyoji (Yin Yang master)?”

Jiang Sheng asked curiously. Although he sensed Pei Siyang’s dissatisfaction with the exorcists, he still asked.

“No difference at all. The exorcists were originally from the branch of your Jiang family. Some of the tactics they used and the way they used spiritual power were learnt from your Yin Yang Masters.

“But if I have to tell you something different, I’d say, the former manager of the Jiang family was kind,  and would never kill non-humans. As long as they were non-human beings who could start anew, they would let them go and monitor every act of them. After confirming that he would not harm people, they would be released.

“Exorcists were different. They thought that non-human beings were evil, and there was no such a saying about wether they were good or bad. Therefore, when dealing with non-humans, they would kill them directly, not leaving a soul.

Holy crap! They are so cruel!

Jiang Sheng couldn’t help but sigh. Fortunately, his ancestors were all good people.

“It is undeniable that there were no such a saying about being good or bad in non-human beings, but it was something hapened a few hundred years ago when human beings were taken as food.

” Things are different now. We have to rely on human world, so we won’t attack them. Unless that human being did something excessive, then it’d be hard to say.

Pei Siyang explained. It seemed like he didn’t hate human beings, but he’d neither let them bully his people as they wish.

“These things are too complicated. I don’t want to hear any more. So much for today.  Time to sleep.”

Jiang Sheng didn’t want to listen any longer. It wasn’t his business anyway, and he started to get sleepy again.

He slept in Jiang Sheng’s arm and quietly closed his eyes.

Pei Siyang gently kissed his forehead and whispered, “Good night.”

Jiang Sheng smiled with his eyes closed and soon fell asleep.

After all, he was pregnant and he didn’t have so much energy Pei Siyang did.

At the same time in Bai Hao’s room, the sound that made people blush can even be heard, without an ending.

The color of mask that was casually placed on the sofa by Pei Siyang changed from black to red, so red that seemed would bleed.
