The messages wishing good night repeated during the whole week and were constantly ignored by Julien. He was going to pretend that he never received those text message contents from the villain.
In the evening before weeknd the stranger called. Julien took a deep, steadying breath and with shaking fingers, he answered the call: "Hello!?"
The voice from the phone was deep: "Julien?"
Julien didn't recognize his own voice, he was so nervous: "Ah? Yes! That's me."
There was a brief pause. Inside he was quaking: "Mr. Valentinus?"
Lucius's tone was calm – seductive even: "I have not received your response, not once."
Julien's voice raised several octaves: "I didn't get any text from you over the past week!"
Julien suddenly cracked up for a brief moment when he said that. Isn't it too obvious that he was lying and he was admitting it at the same time?
A hint of a smile was playing on Lucius's lips. He said as politely as ever: "Then it's all my fault."
Julien's breath hitched and he flushed: "It is ah. It really is!"
He could visualize the wicked gleam in the villain black eyes. The chuckle sounded through the phone: "If there is a time, let's take Mino to the amusement park."
Julien made a perfunctory sound of acknowledgement.
Then Lucius continued: "Tomorrow, if that's okay. Would it be convenient for you?"
Julien said quietly: "I haven't made any plans."
Lucius was pleased with his answer: "I have arranged it and will come pick you tomorrow morning."
After that he hung up.
Julien was staring blankly at his phone.
What was that?
[System: Host, your face is red. Do you need fresh air?]
Julien couldn't hide his irritation with System: "Aren't you clever?"
He muttered to himself: "This is definetlly a side effect of being omega."
It was a restless night for Julien, he was tossing and turning. Dreaming of black eyes that was hidden under glasses, coveralls, long legs, long fingers, and dark, dark unexplored places.
He woke twice in the night. His heart was pounding.
Julien knew that he will look great tomorrow with so little sleep. He punched his pillow and tried to settle.
Lucius came at 10 o'clock having the little boy with him.
After Julien greeted them and pulled Mino up: "Let's go."
Visitors at the amusement park on weekends were mostly packed and most of them were traveling with their families. Mino was attracted to everything both physically and mentaly. He pointed to one of the tower-shaped buildings and said to Julien: "Magic tower!"
Julien asked: "Does Mino want to go there?"
Mino nodded.
Julien smiled and ruffled his hair: "We can go right away."
Despite Julien's expectations, playing in the amusement park with a child and without were two very different experiences. At that time he sat on a wooden horse in the merry-go-round. As he moved along with the up-and-down movement of his pegasus, he looked over at the nearby rollercoaster ride mournfully.
Julien would never have thought that there would come a day where the rollercoaster ride could be so close yet so far, just like how he would never have thought that at his age, he would accompany Mino to ride the merry-go-round. But when he observed Lucius lifeless appearance, he felt his mood extraordinarily lighten.
As soon as Mino saw the place where he was previously looking, he instantly looked at Julien with sparkling eyes.
Naturally, it was impossible for two adults to let the little boy play in such a dangerous place so in the end they only could go for a train ride for childrens.
The little train started and Mino's voice sounded, obviously startled: "Ah!"
Julien subconsciously wanted to pat him on the back. The hand stretched out, but touched another person's hand with a cool touch and long fingers.
Thump, thump, thump—
Julien removed his hand and turned his head. He saw Lucius also looking at him with a gentle smile.
After walking out of the ride, Mino pointed at a different building. Julien saw that he was so excited about it that his little face had turned red. He guessed: "Is it that you want to play there?"
Mino nodded, asking quietly: "Can I?"
Julien ruffled his hair again with a smile: "Of course you can."
The three of them went to the bumper car arena. This time, Lucius got in a car with the little boy while Julien was in a car by himself. Mino couldn't help but giggle out loud when the cars were bumping each other fiercely.
It was the first time he spoke to Lucius as he told him quietly: "When the two cars collide, Mino will be propelled into the air."
Lucius had no experience with children and couldn't tell if the little boy liked it or not: "Are you having fun?"
Mino instantly became even more shy: "Yes, it's a lot of fun."
Lucius sent him a smile that reached his eyes: "That's good then. As long as you are happy."
After running and playing around all morning long, Julien was feeling extremely worn out. They had taken a little boy to the home.
Today Mino had gotten much closer to Lucius as well. He kept on waving his little hand and saying goodbye to them.
