Nineth Immortal hears the threatening growls of might Leviathan Dragon. Soaring through the lake water trying to find her. Crushing underwater flora with a shake of its body. The others are automatically pulled along with the bright scaled dragon. Nineth Immortal bringing herself as close as she can risk high above the Leviathan Dragon fires a couple of bolts. The bolts quickly lose effectiveness in the water they are effective at half range.
Nineth Immortal growls, "release them or else!" It is all she can do this is a super high level monster. Its level alone is tempering all ideas she might entertain even the crossbow bolt failing halfway came as a relief to her. The tattoo works at a close distance but getting close will get her trap like everyone else. The frustrating thing is that besides a small mana drain the team is receiving no damage.
Tyr hurls his fire shots at the Drake fights like a drunken master. Hurling its body forward slashing widely at Tyr. The ground caves as the Dragons' claws crave the life out of it. Tyr responds by never letting up. He is only using scorch which affects his Sp, not his Mp. Also at level eighteen, his per second regen covers the spells twenty MP cost. The drake roars a blast of concaved air at him Tyr is thrown clean across the pit. Narrowly missing a lava river shakey his muddled head a fire blast hits him again. He doesn't take damage but the force behind it is still substantial.
Small flickers of [Shot of fire]s' appear Tyr is casting using his body and like any advance class Weaver will tell you, 'a spell is cast in the mind.' This means even though he is being pushed back and using his hands reflexively he can shoot off a litany of [Shot Of Fire]. These overcooked spells deal double the damage of an ordinary spell meaning the Drake get pelted by at least thirty damage. This is minuscule and hardly noticed by the dragon as his health has barely moved.
Tyr never expected much damage in the first place, at most he hoping to figure out a way to use the dragons own powers against it. A [Wind Wing] typhoons towards him, layers of compressed violent death spiralling at breakneck speed. Tyr a veteran of combat knows this spell all too well. The ability to compress multiple wind blades is powerful but like a wind blade a single target spell. Tyr can dodge it with a well-placed foot to the wall. Jumping into the air from the wall he retaliates with more [Shots of Fire] each shot fired at the irate dragon evokes a response.
Still, the drake has to adhere to some limitations being strong it doesn't have a fast attack rate, these three seconds in between attacks gives Tyr time to think and prepare. This is why Drake prefers to fight head fist to fist. physical attacks and magic attacks are not counters to another so can be used one after the other. Most drakes do this with a combination of earth spell-like [Earthen Wall] To lockout areas of escape while rushing their enemy.
Tyr can only think, 'there is a rule to every exception." Odyessy has too many oddities to be concerned about a dragons' fighting opposite to its intended style. A wave of [Sismic Wave] expelled from the dragon ripples all around it. Tyr smiles he is still in the air as the waves pass under him. He is Traveling towards the dragon.
Travelling towards the dragon has proven almost deadly to Lucinda. The thin smoothed scaled dragon. When she approaches the creature is thrashes madly at her erupting with a fury she can barely withstand. This is a problem since at combat distance though they both fire off their attack each has enough time to block. Or respond meaning they are pretty much even.
Lucinda natural defensive style is proving hard to win here. When she is up close the Dragon rages and she can't keep up with its attacks. As she is fond of blocking then responding. She to her dismay didn't respond well the first time as the attacks just don't stop. Lucinda throws herself forward again starting with a series of simple attacks. She can take about three shots before she has to block with her shield.
The dragon meanders backwards though after a few steps of continuous pressure its lashes out. Its thin delicate frame is a whip of disaster. Spiral columns of the flesh are thrown at Lucinda. She can jump over it as long as she watches the tail. It will be whipping around just now and try to cream her in the face. Last time she narrowly survived because her shield was about to be activated so she had raised her shield.
The roar of fury and constant smashing about of the dragon almost pressed her into taking a step back but she resists. At distance, this is nothing but a stalemate and she isn't one to fight a monster for three hours. Being alone she has no choice but to attack.
A hike of the dragon head prompts Lucinda to crouch behind her shield. A beam of [Freezing fire] washes past beside her. The by activating [Shield bash] the force of the [Freezing Fire] and the bash push each other aside. She does of course suffer some fall damage but that is mitigated by the five seconds she gets to attack. She starts with a well placed [Spirit Shot]! Hitting the dragon in the neck it flails around groining painfully. She lunges forward closing the distance, even more, arriving at the base she launches a simple attack.
A whistle of death whittles through the air. A life snapping crack as her shield is blown back with her attached to it. The dragon roars madly moving about frantically. Seeing that Lucinda is still close it coils a layer of flesh springs out like waves trying to her back. She jumps overtaking a breathe she thinks to herself, 'remember the tail.' A simple attack from distance lands on the dragon. Its moans louder it lets loose an ear ripping roar. [Stuning Scream] would have given it time to attack if it wasn't so focused on keeping some distance between her and Lucinda.
The coiling of its body a moment ago makes its attempt to gain distance a slow crawl. Frustrated it puffs up its body a fold of skin similar to cobra then with its eyes wide a [Sudden Strike!]
Stricken suddenly by the claw of the raptor. Rena has been outmanoeuvred by the raptor in the marsh it is still fast and deadly. Which she is expected but to be corralled is another thing. The heart races she had underestimated the intelligence of the raptor.
Across a small dark damp defiling bog, she can hear its growl. After attacking the raptor hides then ambushes her with a rushed berserk attack before vanishing into the marsh shrubs. She thinks, 'I can't keep doing this. this stupid thing is going to kill me.' Her problem is that she can't meet it head-on it's too fast even when she used her [shield bash] its hardened head negated all damage and caused her to suffer trample.
She understands that she has to somehow stop the monster to attack it. She has tried most of the skills that don't stop it. She isn't exactly sure what she can do. This respite gives her even time to heal to eighty per cent. Rena stumbles through the bog they are the best way so far she has found to slow the mad creature down.
The vomit-inducing bog is thick and speed sapping. She knows that the Raptor will attack momentarily it seems that the attack is prompted by either forty seconds passing or health reaching ninety per cent. She still has been able to use this information to her advantage. She is plagued by doubt and fear. She hates being alone it is why her sisters are in Oydessy even though they wanted to go to a much tamer world. Rena is convinced because she is the oldest of the triplets.
She readies herself the bog in front of her the Raptor like before attacks from behind the rustling of bushes a favoured indicator of its impending attack. She figures that it could be the game but in reality, no creature can move without making noise yet. Besides the video of the Bightlord that attacked Styx, she has never been in a situation where she feels she can be assassinated at any time.
The raptor lunges at her from the tree top it had found. The bush was a diversion it used by using a [Iron tail whip]. Rena jump has her in the air as the clever raptor flies towards her teeth open. Rena's eyes pop as the shadow of the raptor. This leads her to see the sharp dragon flying towards her.
Amalya flies back thrown by the Dragon of legend. Their fight is going well for neither side. Neither Amalya nor the dragon is willing to give an inch. On her flight back she shots a [Spirit Shot] straight into the mouth of the dragon. With a crash and roar, each combatant has pushed the other to less than twenty per cent health...
