"Since you dreamed of climbing higher, then, This Lady will fulfill your wish. Tomorrow, you will be given to Fei Daren as his new concubine. Are you happy now? Finally, your dream will come true."

XuanRong stopped as if she thought of something.

"Ah. I heard Fei Daren treats her concubines in a special way. I hope you can get his deep affection and love. As your mistress, This Lady will wish you success."

She neither got angry nor rebuked YuLi's treacherous actions like YuYing did. She had enough. She no longer wanted to use her energy in dealing with YuLi. To be honest, there were times when she hoped that YuLi could change. She would be lying if she would say that she was not hurt by YuLi's betrayal.

They grew up together. Although she was an arrogant person and treated others like they were beneath her feet, she never once maltreated her people. In her previous lifetime, YuYing was a timid girl and always stick to the rules. She never tried doing things beyond her status. Unlike YuYing, YuLi was the opposite. YuLi sometimes liked to be pampered by XuanRong. She never declined when XuanRong give things and she knew how to make XuanRong happy. Obviously, XuanRong was closer to YuLi than YuYing.

When YuLi successfully entered XuanHong's place as his concubine, XuanRong was very happy and proud. Little did she know, in the expense of entering to her second brother's place as his concubine, YuLi sold her. She sold her Young Mistress who she grew up with. In exchange with YuLi's happiness, XuanRong had to swallow the bitterness of being shamed to death.

Having a maidservant like her, how could XuanRong say that she did not feel any ounce of dismay towards her betrayal?

No. She was disappointed and was utterly bitter, but…. Even if she killed YuYing, the hate and anger she felt towards her would never disappear. Besides, how could she let YuLi escape by giving her a quick death?

She wanted to sell her to a low-grade brothel and let her experience the pain she once experienced when she was played repeatedly like a dirty prostitute but when she recalled the lustful gaze Fei bai Zou gave when he saw YuYing and YuLi, XuanRong changed her mind. Although she hated men like Fei Bai Zou, she could not deny the fact that she still needed his and the Magistrate's assistance. The yamen office was under the jurisdiction of the local magistrate. Fei Bai Zou was holding the entire yamen office in the palm of his hand. Since YuLi used her in order to climb her second brother's bed, XuanRong decided to make use of YuLi this time as her pawn in the game.

Gifting a person, even if it was a maidservant or a Di daughter of a small official was not uncommon. Mostly, when one wanted to latch to the other person's prestige and use it to one's advantage, giving gifts were inevitable. One's sincerity would reflect to the gifts prepared by them.

Although YuLi's value as a servant was lower, XuanRong knew that Fei bai Zou would be extremely happy once YuLi arrives in front of his door.

After she was done talking, XuanRong smiled at YuLi who was sitting motionless on the floor. She looked very sincere and no trace of anger was reflected on her face.

She was done with her sentiments. She now only views YuLi as one of her chess pawns. To her, whether YuLi survive Fei Bai Zou's perverted and twisted ways, she no longer cared.

Few seconds later, after XuanRong's words successfully registered on YuLi's mind, a deep chill slowly crept inside her heart. Her body shook when she recalled the perverted gaze Fei Bai Zou threw at her when he looked at her face and stared at her body.

'No! I don't want to be that pig's concubine!'

YuLi felt like she was splashed with a cold water. She felt like she was just dreaming, that everything was just an illusion created due to her guilt and that she was still sleeping on her bed while XuanRong was still traveling to the temple. She tried to stand up from kneeling, but she was unsuccessful. She fell a couple of times and was unable to stand up completely like a newborn calf.

Since she was not able to balance herself, she could only use her hands and crawl until she was able to reach XuanRong's place. XuanRong was still sitting on the chair. When she saw YuLi was crawling towards her, XuanRong did not respond. She only stared at YuLi as if everything was just a piece of entertainment for her.

"X-XiaoJie… This servant is begging ah.. This servant was framed by those people who wanted to destroy our relationship. This servant was loyal to XiaoJie and never thought of harming XiaoJie.." YuLi extended her hands, trying to hug XuanRong's legs as she said those words.

XuanRong shook her head. Instead of admitting her crime and asking forgiveness, in the end, YuLi stubbornly refused to admit her sin.

XuanRong grabbed YuLi's wrists before she could even grab a hold of her leg. She made sure that YuLi's wrists were wrapped within her sleeves. Touching disgusting things would always make her puke and YuLi was nothing but a piece of garbage in her eyes.

"Enough!"

XuanRong was already tired with YuLi's antics. She pushed YuLi away from her.

"Did you really think that I was oblivious? That This Lady was blind and an idiot? Ha." XuanRong smiled mockingly.

"YuLi ah, YuLi… On the account of having a close relationship with you as a mistress and a maidservant, This Lady will not kill you for betraying This Lady's trust. On the contrary, This Lady will even fulfill your wish of become someone's concubine. Why are you acting like this? You should be thankful of This Lady for not selling you to a low-grade brothel were women were used like a dirty rag."

YuLi once again lost her soul when she heard XuanRong's words. Her heart sank as she started regretting her betrayal. She could not believe that a ten year old child could be this unforgiving and merciless.

'What's the difference between being sold in a low-grade brothel and being given to that lecherous pig?' YuLi could only cry as she stared at XuanRong.

XuanRong stood up and walked towards the door.

"YuYing, go to Zou mama and tell her to prepare YuLi's dowry. Although she is nothing but a lowly servant, she is still the Eldest Di Daughter of XiangFu's[1] first-ranked maid. We cannot disgrace the face of Xuan Family."

"Yes, this servant understands."

YuYing curtsied and glared at YuLi before leaving the room.

"Whether you commit suicide or not, it's up to you. Choose, die and be buried inside the stomach of the mountain beasts or marry Fei Daren and try your luck."

After saying her piece, XuanRong opened the door and left, leaving YuLi who was in despair.

After leaving the servant's quarter, XuanRong walked towards a room near her courtyard. She opened the door and went inside.

Inside was a person lying on the bed, unconscious and not moving.

XuanRong walked and sat on the edge of the bed. She stared at the woman who she brought from the mountain.

After she was 'rescued' by Fe Bai Zou and the rest, she decided to bring the woman back together with her. Thinking of the possibility that this woman was from Yue clan, XuanRong did not think twice in bringing the woman inside the manor.

Thinking of the assassination attempt, XuanRong knew that the 'her' right now was weaker than ants. To those assassins, her life was insignificant and unimportant. She had to find ways to survive in order to carry out her revenge.

XuanRong was unwilling to become the cannon fodder once again. This time, she wants to be the antagonist and punish all those people who betrayed her.

She vowed to avenge her previous self and let them taste their own medicine.
