In a dark space, void of life or any light whatsoever, a young woman sat floating in the emptiness with her knees against her chin and her arms hugging her legs. She had no idea how long she had been here for. Ever since she tried to get the elemental she found in that tower, she had been tossed into this place and trapped inside.
It would not be a problem for someone who was a master of time and space able to bend time and space to get out, but this young woman only knew how to heal and create life. She had no other talents besides this. She was strong physically and could create life to use as a weapon, but this was only for living things.
But this space was different, it was void of anything, and none of the life forms she had created were strong enough to break the void and allow her to escape. She had been alive for so long and proud of her own prowess, but now she knew just how weak she was. She was unkillable to most, but there were those who had killed her in the past.
"Why did they send me here? Was it because I used my powers to make people worship me? Is it because I used those who saw me as a deity to do as I please? Is it wrong to find it funny when thousands are slaughtered just because you said a single word? I am supposed to be the goddess of life. What is wrong with me making use of my powers to find my own happiness? I did save a few people in return. So why am I forced to stay in this place..."
The young woman did not seem to understand her own actions were her own downfall. She was more evil than the goddess of death. The things she did. The innocent people she killed for pure entertainment. The worlds she threw into chaos… None of the few hundreds of people she saved would be able to make up for her sins.
Her idea of what her position was supposed to be was warped beyond belief. She saw herself as someone who everyone should praise. She, a person from Aurora, who should have been a step away from becoming a true god and entering Eden, was nowhere close to her goal any longer. She found her powers were weakened in this void, to the point that even those of the sea of stars would be her match. She felt weak beyond belief.
"Why is life so unfair!? Why is it me who is trapped in here!? Was I not the only Nephilim who was able to regain some of the clan's past glory. Was I not looked up upon as the shining star of our clan? Then why am I stuck in this place with no way out!? I JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND!"
The young woman screamed and grabbed her head, tearing at her hair. She hated this place. It was making her go insane. There was no one around to acknowledge her existence. She wondered if her life was all fake and that she had truly been dreaming all this time as she floated her in this dark void of nothingness.
"You scream pretty loud..." A soft voice floated through the void, entering the young woman's ears.
She looked up with tears in her eyes to see a beautiful young woman around nineteen to twenty years of age. Next to her, on her left was a cute little girl, while on her right was a handsome man. She gazed at the three, her vision slightly blurry from her tears. It actually took her a few minutes to realize what she was seeing was indeed real. Seeing the three people as a ray of hope, she quickly wiped her eyes and stood up as she asked: "Are you here to save me?"
Angelica looked at the young woman, who had eyes filled with hope but felt nothing for her. No pity, no nothing. She was nothing more than a tool to make her mama stronger. She did not need to feel anything for this woman.
"Save? Maybe?" Angelica's lips curled up into a beautiful smile as she stepped forward. "It really depends on your idea of what the word "save" means. I mean. I am here for you, but... What I am here for is not what you think."
"You! What do you want!?" The young woman looked at Angelica with caution. She could tell the people around Angelica were very strong, but Angelica herself was not all that powerful. But she felt something was not right. "You! You're a Nephilim! No… You are not… What are you!?"
At first glance, Angelica did look like a Nephilim, but when there were traits on her body that were not that of a Nephilim. Angelica smiled brightly as she looked at the cautious look in the young woman's eyes that held a trace of fear. "The Goddess of Life actually knows fear? I am surprised. As for what I am... Well… I am the daughter of the most wonderful mother in the world. She raised me very well and loved me very much. As such, I have come for your soul, so she can take the power of the goddess of life for herself and become one of the most powerful beings in existence."
Angelica tapped her chin and tilted her head as she looked at the young woman. "But you see… Because you are alive, you have become a hindrance, so I will only ask once…."
Angelica's eyes glowed a ghostly glow as soul flames consumed her eyes as she said in a commanding tone: "In the name of the Ghost Empress, hand your soul over to me."
Camlia was about to step forward to help Angelica but was pulled back by Tian. "Wait. I think we may not even be needed. Look..."
