Kana sat beside her mother, her head resting on her mother's stomach as she cried mournfully. At the tender age of seven years old, she had lost the one person in her life, that was her world. At first, she didn't believe her mother was dead. Although deep inside, she knew that was the case. But her only being seven years old, when she finished crying, the first thing she did was try to find some help. She knocked on her neighbor's doors., her eyes still wet with tears. It took one old granny that felt bad for the little girl to follow her back home. It was then that the granny quickly called an ambulance and had them come take her mother away. There was no doubt that her mother had passed away.
Kana was left with nothing. No one cared about her or her well being. On the day her mother was taken out of the house, even under the pleading eyes of the desperate young girl, the heartless landlord kicked Kana out onto the streets. Kana had no place to go, and her only family was now gone. She sat outside the apartment for three days. The only substance she had during this time was rainwater. She even held in her bodily functions until nighttime to use the bush on the backside of the apartment building. As for water, on the second day, she got lucky, and it rained. She drank some dirty water that was collected in an old emptied out flower pot. She had refused to leave the place where she and her mother lived. Only when hunger pains began to set in on the third day did she finally get up and began to look for food.
As a young girl with no idea about the world and very little energy from not eating, Kana cautiously walked around the streets looking for food. She dared not ask anyone for food since the look on the passerbys' faces were not very friendly looking. She stepped into a back alley and found a dumpster, and with a little effort, she used some boxed by the side to climb up and look inside. The dumpster did not smell good at all, but even still, the smell had a scent that made Kana's stomach grumble. When she spotted a moldy piece of bread inside, Kana quickly grabbed it and ran away with it in her hands to find a place to eat it.
This was the start of her street rat life. She had no one to turn to nowhere to go. After many twists and turns and almost being kidnapped and sold off many times, she learned to be very wary of people. She held up in a women's bathroom at night, which was the one place she could call home—the stall door to the far back of the women's bathroom.
As the years went on, Kana became so malnourished she stopped growing altogether after she turned ten years old. Throughout the years, there were many chances for her to make money that she could easily survive off of, but these methods were disgusting in more ways than one. She held true to the teachings her mother instilled in her for those seven years and respected herself enough to never want to fall into that line of work. But even after striving to survive for so long, her life still came to an end.
"And then when I woke up, I had become a dragon and was reborn into this world. My story is very out there, right? Even I still wonder if my past life was all a dream..." Kana laughed bitterly as she thought back to her old life. She missed her mother very much, even to this day. Just thinking about her made her tear up. She felt strange, though. She had no idea why she even told Creige about all of this. But after she told him, she felt like a huge weight was lifted off her shoulders.
"Whatever your origins are does not change the fact that you are now my wife. But your story does make me want to make a trip to your old world… So I can destroy it..." After listening to everything that Kana had to go through in her old life, Creige had the sudden urge to destroy Earth altogether.
Kana's eyes welled up with tears as she twisted her body around, so she was facing Creige. She threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly while burying her face into his neck as she began to cry. She never felt so lucky before. She had such a great man who cared for her even after being forced into marriage. The warmth from his embrace, his scent, everything about this man she has come to love.
Creige gently rocked Kana back and forth, holding her in his arms as she cried. He himself never thought that he would meet his wife in such a way and would grow so attached to her. But now he was happy that they met. Creige began humming a song his mother used to sing to him when he was young. It was a song from his homeland and would always soothe him when he felt sad.
Kana's heart finally calmed after fifteen minutes. She looked up at Creige and pushed her lips against his. She nibbled and bit and slipped her tongue into his mouth. She wanted to become one with this man that loved her and that she loved. Just as the two were fervently kissing and hands were exploring unexplored domains. A small voice came from their side breaking the two out of their passionate daze. "Kana, what are you doing?"
Aoi floated over and hovered next to the two lying down in the air, her two little hands propping her head up as she looked at the scene in front of her curiously. Kana's face instantly flushed red as she lowered her head in embarrassment. She shrank into Creige's embrace as if trying to hide. Creige, on the other hand, chuckled and let out a sigh as he said: "Aoi, we were just doing things that only a married man and woman can do. Do not copy this, okay?"
"Oh… Okay! I will go back and play with Kitty. He is funny. He shakes a lot!" Aoi said, losing interest fast after hearing Creige's explanation.
Creirge took a peek at his little wife, who was trying to dig a hole in his body to hide in, and chuckled. "We will wait until you are finished with the academy."
Kana didn't say a word as she nodded her head to agree. She wrapped her arms around Creige, pressed her head into his chest, and closed her eyes. They had all the time in the world. He would always be by her side. A small smile formed on her lips as she thought this as she drifted off to sleep.
