Chapter 260: A War Spanning Realms Begins

As training continued for Kana, the skies of the Yuthia Theocracy darkened. "With the souls of millions of people of this small country, I can open the gate and allow my fellow brethren through."

The man who was able to come to the mortal realm through the tear the Pope made to the devil realm, lips curled up into a sinister smile. He pulled out an orb that was covered in a grey mist and held it out in front of him. "As that human fool begins the war. I will now let my followers through and begin a new reign!"

The man slowly let go of the orb covered in grey mist, allowing it to float in the air. He then formed a few hand signs as he began chanting an ancient spell. A large magic circle began to form under his feet, slowly expanding, taking up the entire room. "Now, my minions, it is time for you to rise and break free from your shackles. We will now live a life of glory as I become the new Devil Kin… Hmmm?"

The magic circle under the man's feet began to change, the runes within it began to write themselves, creating a whole new magic circle. The orb hovering in mid air began to shake violently before suddenly shattering into dust. In place of it was a crack in space that slowly began to widen. The man stepped back, looking at the crack in horror and disbelief. "No! It can't be!? Why is he here!? There is no way! Unless. Damnit! That fucking human!" He never expected the orb that was used to collect the souls of the Yuthia Theocracy after their bodies had become undead was tampered with!

"Humph! Dreg, did you really think a lowly slave like you would be able to rule over any world. There are humans in this mortal realm who are much stronger than you." A voice came from the crack. Soon a tall man with pale skin and white hair passed through it. On top of his head was a crown made of blood. His blood red eyes gazed at Dreg, who was now shaking in fear.

"I… Master..." Dreg lowered his head and knelt down onto his knees, prostrating himself in front of the man.

"Heh… So you do know your place. All beings of the devils realm must bow before their king." As he said this, his voice rang out across the world and was heard by all. The power that emitted from his body slowly radiated outwards. Dreg could only cover the Yuthia Theocracy with his death element, but this man with the bloody crown was strong enough to engulf the entire world with his death element.

Rural Kingdom throne room…

"This?" Claine frowned when he heard the voice.

"It has begun…" Creige said calmly. A month had passed since he went to the Yuthia Theocracy to bring Yuthia back. When he was there, he had felt the presence of a devil, but that feeling was very faint. But now, with the thunderous voice echoing around the world, he knew the gates to the devils realm had finally been opened, and a powerful figure had passed through it. He knew the war was about to begin.

"C-Creige, w-what should we do?" Kiliffia  asked, her voice trembling. Just hearing the powerful voice was enough to make all her hair stand on end.

"We can only fight. The people of the Rural Kingdom have been evacuated, but even with them in hiding, if we lose, they will also die.  King of Rural, I suggest you send a message to your men to be ready." Creige warned, then he looked at Sei. "I need you to go back to the realm of gods and tell them a powerful devil has come through."

"Okay, but what about Yuthia?" Sei asked.

"She still needs time to recover. So she can not go anywhere. The spell I used on her can only slowly extract the death element from her body. It will take time. Tell your gods that they need to send as many as they can as well as those stronger than high gods, and if there are any dragon gods, they need to come to." Creige answered.

"I will, and Creige, thank you." Sei said, bowing her head before disappearing into balls of light.

"Sir Creige, I have to ask. How long do you think we can hold out with the men we have?" Claine asked nervously. He could tell from the way Creige was acting that things would not be easy.

"With just our current force, six months at most if we are lucky. With the gods realm coming, a year. If they bring a few dragons, two years and maybe a chance to push them back. But this is if they band together. We also need to send a summons to all continents and races that the time to band together is now. Because if we lose here, this whole world is doomed."

"I have already tried. I have yet to receive a response." Claine let out a dejected sigh. The distance between the continents was just too big.

"You do not need to worry about Pleqoth." Creige suddenly said as he looked over at the middle of the throne room.

"What do you mean…."

"Creige, what the hell is going on?" An old man's voice bellowed throughout the hall.

"You should know more than anyone, no?" Creige gave a faint smile looking at the old man. He was a human who looked to be around a few hundred years of age, his wrinkling skin sagging down, almost covering his eyes. But from the way he acted, when he came through the distortion in space, he seemed very lively.

"Humph! A smart ass, as always I see. Hey, I heard you got married. Where is the lass.." The old man looked around the room and spotted Tilia, Kiliffia, and Tia. His old brow wrinkled even more as he made a disgusted face. "Creige, I didn't think you liked them so young…" Shaking his head in disappointment he continued:  "I really did not picture you as a lolicon..."
