Kana was taken to a side room when an old man with a long beard walked in with a medical box. The old man smiled at her and sat down on the chair next to her. "Let me take your pulse."
Kana nodded and stretched out her hand. The old man pressed his fingers on Kana's wrist and sat there for a few seconds before nodding. "Should be just about four months. This might feel a bit cold." The old man said as he used his stethoscope to listen to Kana's belly. "Hmmm… It seems to be two. From what I have learned from the dragon sisters, your race will give birth quickly. From there, it will take a little longer before they hatch."
"Hmm? Hatch? What do you mean?" Kana was confused. She didn't understand what the doctor meant by hatching.
The old man was surprised by Kana's confusion but still happily explained. "When you lay your eggs, you will need to keep them warm until they hatch. Kind like a chicken."
"I'm not a chicken!" Kana yelled. She didn't understand why the hell was she laying eggs!? Was she going to fry them with some bacon!?
"Yes, I know Miss Kana. It was just a comparison. Dragons give birth to eggs which have the fetus inside of them. After a short time, the fetus will mature and break out of the egg. It is normal for many races. Bird races are the same. It is only… they will not be able to transform into human form until they get older. This is what the dragon sisters explained to me when I asked them a few things. I figured this day would come sooner or later and wanted to be ready." The old man explained.
"I see.."Kana looked at Creige, hoping he wouldn't be mad because of this. But seeing how he was smiling warmly at her, she felt very relieved.
"One thing to take note of though his that they might have both demon and dragon traits at birth as well. This means they might have both dragon parts like arms and legs or even a dragon head on a demon body. It all depends… I could also be wrong. But I can say the two little ones inside you will be very powerful. A dragon demon breed has never been recorded in any medical books to my knowledge, so this could be the birth of one of the strongest babies in the world." The old man explained. He had a hint of excitement in his eyes.
"Of course!" Kana snorted proudly. "Any baby birthed by me and my handsome husband will always be the strongest!"
After thanking the doctor and saying goodbye to Claine, Kana dragged Tilia with her and headed back home. "So, Tilia, you will be an aunty in the future."
" I can't wait. I will make sure to spoil my little nephew or niece!" Tilia began preparing things in her head to buy for the new bundles of joy.
"By the way, Tilia, when are you going to find a special someone? You have been of age for a while now." Kana asked. She had no idea what this sister of hers has been up to the past few years.
"Right now, I can't. Father did not tell you, but I am now the Crown Princess of the Rural Kingdom and will be the first Queen. So now I have so much to do it is not even funny. I am starting to think my father gave me this title to keep me in the capital. He was getting sick of me running off to every war that popped up. But Kana, we need to be careful. There is a highly advanced civilization underground made up of many insectoid races. We have found a few of their tunnels and have teams investigating the situation." Tilia was still worried about this new underground insectoid nation since they were hostile to those who lived on the surface.
"No need to worry." Kana gave a simple sentence of reassurance. She did not plan to go anywhere for a long time now. She wanted to work on her levels and hope to find more items with elemental properties in hopes of unlocking her other elements. She did not expect to find elementals at every turn, but she still hoped for some natural treasures that had enough elemental properties in them to allow her to unlock her elements. Otherwise, she could forget about evolving again. So until then, she would be around at least until her babies are in their teens. Only then would she ask the academy to open up some magic realms.
"To be honest, knowing you will be around is a huge relief." Tilia said honestly. She knew the tactic she used once would not be usable again, which means they would not be able to withstand the technology those insectoids have. Unless the dwarves are able to replicate and make better weapons than the weapons, they brought back.
"Although I do plan to move in with Creige. Which will be tomorrow." Kana had already decided on this. On her way to the castle. She would leave the house in the Rural Kingdom to Ceilie and Nergal. So that they could have a place to themselves, and she would move in with Creige.
"I see…" Tilia felt a bit sad but still forced a smile: "You need to make sure you come to visit often."
"Don't worry I will. You will also need to come over and see my new place as well. I planned to have a small get together once I move in and get adjusted. Any word from Kiliffia?" Kana asked.
"No, she is still out roaming the lands looking for him. We checked the bodies during the war and we did not find him there either. It is as if he had disappeared all together. She should be fine though. She is with that fox god something or another. Never cared to catch his name since he seemed liek a pervert. Hopefully he is not teaching Kiliffia anything weird…."
"Ahhh Chooo!" Methie rubbed his nose and looked around.
"Methie what's wrong?"
"Just a tickle in my nose..."
