"So tell me what is going on!" Kana asked as soon as she stepped through the portal.
"Yana was almost kidnapped today. Luckily she has Camlia's blood in her. Otherwise, things could have been bad. But my guess is that they were kidnaping her to draw you out. I have had Eie put up a powerful barrier around the house. So whatever is to come, we should be ready for it. Although, Yana was pretty shaken up since she killed the kidnapper, so you should go see her first before we talk more." Creige explained.
"They tried to kidnap Yana!? How stupid are they!?" Kana scratched her head in frustration as she walked into the house. "Yana!"
"Mama..." Yana looked at Kana feeling a bit unsure of what was to come. But when she was pulled into her mama's warm embrace, she sniffled as she nuzzled her nose into her mama's chest.
"Don't worry, Hunny, everything will be fine. I do not know which idiot thought it was a smart move to try to kidnap you, but I am sure you dealt with it just fine." Kana pulled back a bit and planted a kiss on Yana's forehead.
"Mama not mad?" Yana asked.
"Nope! I know you would only act in defense, so it is fine. Plus, you're this cute. How could I ever be mad at such a cute little girl?" Kana asked as she ruffled Yana's hair and kissed her cheeks over and over.
"Mama, it tickles!" Yana giggled as she smiled. Her mama was the best.
"Hey, us too!" Rain and Angelica, who were standing at the side watching, decided they wanted in as well. Soon the house went from being gloomy to a lively atmosphere.
"Umm… Kana?"Dandan was standing there feeling a bit out of place. She was unsure what she should be doing.
"Ah, sorry, Dandan. I figured since I was going home, I would take you with me. I was in a rush, so I didn't say anything. Anyway! Welcome to your new home." Kana said with a smile. "We still have an empty room which I will take you to now. After that, I need to talk to Creige a bit about what is going on. For now, do not leave the yard until further notice."
"Okay." Dandan smiled as she nodded her head. She was excited to know this was going to be her new home. It was much better than living by herself at the academy. Living in a new place that was full of new things and a much more lively environment, she couldn't ask for more. But she knew this was no time to be really expressing excitement when it seemed something big was up.
After showing Dandan to her room, Kana went and sat down with Creige. "So, what do you think is going on?"
"This, I am not sure. I felt traces of dark elements from the woman Yana killed. And I know it was not either Yana or the woman herself that had the element. It was more as if she was in the vicinity of someone who uses the dark element, which means that the one who is behind this is still at large. For what reason he would want to kidnap Yana, I do not know. But if I had to guess, I would say it was that they wanted to lead you away from this area." Creige answered. He didn't think it had anything to do with the fact that Yana was a stargazer since it was almost impossible to tell that she was one.
"Mmm… let's not go out today just in case. I am starting to feel like something is really off." Kana couldn't shake this strange feeling inside her. After hearing what had happened, she just had a strange feeling welling up inside her. She felt it was better safe than sorry. If something did happen, it was best if they were all together.
Hours later, up above the city, the man in a black cloak looked down at the small red lights that were positioned in an intricate pattern and smiled. "If I am able to capture the goddess of death within this formation, I can easily summon a power so strong that no one can stop me! Maybe this will work out for the better. Hahaha!"
The man in black raised his hand, extended his index finger, causing a red ball of light to appear at the tip of his finger. He then proceeded to draw a strange symbol in the sky. Once he finished, the symbol grew brighter and brighter until the small red lights around him began to shoot out a red line towards the symbol. Once it connected, a bloody screen began to form, completely encompassing all of District 7. If one were to look at District 7 now from above, it would be covered in a bloody dome.
"Hahaha! It worked! It worked! Now I just need to wait as the lives of these ants are slowly drained away! Nothing can break this barrier now that it has formed, and once the energy reaches its max, my ultimate summon will appear and lay waste to the side of light! Hahahahaha!" The man and black yelled out.
"Grendal! You bastard! You're still alive!?" Hoollon showed up along with many other high gods.
"Hahaha! Hoollon, you are too late. Even with your combined power, you can not break through this barrier! Nothing can stop it now!" The man in black, Grendal yelled as he took off his hood, revealing his undead looking body. Flesh hung off his face revealing parts of his skull.
"You! You turned yourself into an undead!? Don't the Undead need to follow the goddess of death's every command!?" Hoollon did not understand. The undead were supposed to be subordinates of the goddess of death, yet here was one wanting to use the goddess of death as a sacrifice!
"Who said I was fully dead!? What I look like now is because of you bastards! You turned me into the freak you see before you! I didn't choose to be this way! But none of that matters now. I will get my revenge! You will all bear witness to the mightiest being of all the 18 levels of hell has to offer! You will all die miserable deaths! And the dawn of the side of dark will finally begin!"
