Kana did not hold back as she branded Sheila's soul with the contract. The pain Sheila had to endure during this process was beyond her own imagination. The sounds of her agonizing screams could be heard throughout the entirety of District 7. This caused many of the high gods who were still in the area to arrive just outside Kana's residence. When they saw Sheila, who was a god king with such a contorted face screaming out in pain, a cold shiver ran down their spine as they realized this could have been them. Hoollon was also there, and he could only let out a sigh. He knew Sheila was a wilful person and probably did something that offended Kana. He could only give her a silent prayer as he watched on.
What seemed like years of agonizing pain was only a few minutes for Kana to finish branding the last symbol. "There we go. Now that wasn't so bad, right?"
Seeing that mocking smile on Kana's face made Sheila want to tear Kana to shreds, but as this thought came to mind, the same pain she had just suffered moments ago once again surged up, causing her to scream out in pain again. "Ahh!"
"Oh! Kana, this is an amazing contract. Can you teach it to me?" Camlia appeared next to Kana. When she saw the effects of the contract already working to its full extent, Camlia became intrigued by it.
"I can try, but I am not sure if you can do it. Are you able to project your soul out like this?" Kana proceeded to use her soul to step out of her body, creating a transparent version of herself.
"Hmm… I have never tried. Like this?" Camlia concentrated on trying to project her soul, but on her first try, she failed, but as she tried a second time, she was able to project her hand out of her body. "Now, this is really difficult. I will have to practice more before I get you to teach me the soul contract."
"Just let me know when you are ready, and I can try to teach you how to do it. Although it might be difficult for me since it takes quite a few symbols to fully brand someone. And if you fail, I think the soul will disperse. So, to be honest, I am surprised I accomplished it on my first try." Kana had truly never used the soul contract before, so this meant that if she did mess up forcing the contract on Sheila that Sheila's soul had a chance to disperse. Hearing all of this caused Sheila's face to pale. She now looked at Kana as if she was some kind of monster!
"Well, it is good to know it works well. Since things are now settled, I will go back and play with my god daughters." Camlia then turned and flew back into the house. She was currently in the middle of a board game that girls made by themselves.
After Camlia went back inside, Kana turned towards Sheila, who was sitting mid air shaking like a leaf. Seeing Kana look over at her caused her to shake even more. She was now fully frightened by Kana. She did not wish to go against this woman any longer. All her arrogance was now gone. She had been turned into a slave and the woman before her could induce pain on her that not even she could withstand.
"Sheila, was it? I will help you go past the barrier. I will call you if I need you. Also, don't think of running. As you are now branded I can find you even if you lose your body." Kana said as she lifted her foot and pushed Sheila outside the barrier. She did not want to see the woman any longer.
"Kana!" Hoollon called out. While the other high gods left due to the show being over, Hoollon stayed in order to talk to Kana.
"Yes?" Kana turned and looked at the Hoollon.
"I wish to personally thank you for today. You have done a great deed that shouldn't go without some form of payment." Hoollon was filled with gratitude towards Kana. She had not only kept more people from dying and turning District 7 into a ghost town, but she had also revived those who should have died.
"It's fine. Just remember to give me the surrounding properties to my house so I can begin work on building a bigger home." Kana said before saying good bye and floating back down to the ground.
Hollon watched on as Kana flew away. His good impression of the little girl was growing by the second. "Since I have been given my orders, I should get it done quickly."
After being kicked out of the barrier, Sheila had run away as if her life depended on it. She quickly went to the capital, where she had a residence, and hid in her room, not wanting to come out for anything. No matter how much her maids tried to coax her out, she did not dare leave her room. The pain and suffering she went through just now had traumatized her completely. "Miss, you can't just keep staying in there!"
"No! No! If I go out, she will get me… If she gets me, I will get hurt… Must stay away from handsome man or she will hurt me…." Sheila's rambling scared her maids even more. They could only contact her family and hope that maybe they could do something about it.
After such a long exhausting day, Kana relaxed with her babies for a while before dragging Creige into the bedroom or some alone time. Only after a few rounds did she finally feel relaxed. The next morning, Hoollon stopped by with keys to all the surrounding houses and a group of over five hundred construction workers. "These men are the best in their fields and will build you any home you wish. I have already worked out their contracts and payments so you only need to tell them what to build. Everything else will be handled by me."
