Chapter 519: The Great Search Begins

"Mama, this is?" Bell asked as she looked around the control room.

"This is your mother's ship. It is a little hard to explain but to put it simply, it is a ship from my past life." Kana replied. She looked at her daughter and sighed. She needed to figure out how to deal with her condition. If she can not replicate the drugs or heal her completely, things would become messy later on. "Eve, run a full scan on Bell and see if there is a way to fix her dependency on blood."

"Scanning now..." Eve replied as a thin green light hit Bell from all sides. The scan only took a few seconds before Eve gave her results: "There is an issue with the vampiric gland. It is double its size and seems to dry up quickly. I only know because I have scanned those of her race before."

"Is there any way to fix it?" Kana asked. This was the most important thing.

" Yes, I will only need to do a transplant, and that should fix it. By my calculations, the probability of success is eighty nine percent. Once she gets one, she will be no different from any other vampire." Eve answered.

"Mama?" Bell was confused as to what and who the voice she was hearing was coming from.

"Ahh, sorry Bell, Eve is an artificial intelligence I created in my past life. You will understand one day. There is a library on the ship you can take a look at once we fix you up, okay?" Kana walked over and patted Bell on the head. "Eve, will any gland do?"

"Yes, anyone will do. A vampire's physiology is quite amazing. Their bodies will never reject any organ from any being as long as it is able to replace what is needed. But if you wish to do this transplant anything, it will need to be done within a few minutes of removal of the organ." Eve explained. There was always some kind of catch to things. But this catch was not a bad one.

"Will an isolation chamber extend the time on the life of the gland? And where is this gland located, send me an image of it to my CD." Kana was going to make a certain liar pay for what he did. She just did not wish to let Bell know about it. As for the CD she was speaking about, it stands for Control Device. It is the wristband she took from the ship that allows her to speak to Eve.

"I will send you pictures depicting where it is, and as for the isolation chamber, I did not think of that. It should give you a day's worth of time." Eve replied.

"Alright, then get Bell ready for surgery. I will be back soon." Kana gave out her orders and grabbed a small box from the side before she disappeared from where she stood, leaving behind a very confused Bell.

"I do not know your relationship with my Master, but you will be in good hands with her around. Please follow the lights to the operating room and remove your clothes." Bell absentmindedly did as she was told and followed the lights.

Back in Fandel, Kana reappeared in the throne room right in front of Mike, whose mouth went dry seeing Kana. "You! Haven't you done enough!? I have half breeds out there on a rampage sucking everything dry because of you! Not to mention the humans are ready to go to war due to their prince dying in my kingdom and the scroll you stole!"

"What does that have to do with me? If you did not try to sell my daughter off to that fat bastard, I wouldn't have done what I did. You can only blame yourself for your own actions!" Kana said with a snort. She disliked this man more and more and hated herself for even being tricked by him. Feeling very annoyed, she stomped over towards Mike, making him quickly jump up from the throne.

"Guards, stop her!" Mike yelled out. He was completely terrified of Kana now.

"Humph! You think your stupid guards can stop me?" As Kana said this, she got a message from Eve, causing her to smile as she opened her mouth and took a deep breath. "Sadly for you, but dragons outrank vampires!"

A stream of flame shot from her mouth, incinerating everything in its path. The guards that had run forward were instantly turned to ash. Even the throne Mike had been sitting in was gone without a trace. All that was left was the scorch mark on the ground. Mike watched as flames blew over his head, burning his blonde hair right off, causing him to yell in fright. "Now then, I will be taking your vampiric gland so I can fix Bell."

Kana appeared in front of Mike and looked at the image on her wrist. "This may get messy. Why is it all the way in there?" Kana frowned when she saw that the gland was near the brain, which meant ripping out a good chunk of his face and neck. Furrowing her brow and scrunching her nose, Kana swiped out with her hand, her fingers acting like claws, swiping away a good chunk of Mike's head, revealing the thing she needed.  She reached in and grabbed the gland she was after and quickly put it into the box at her side.

"As a Vampire, you should be able to regenerate, right?" Kana had not thought of this, nor did she care. She quickly created some water and washed the blood off her hands before disappearing.

On that day, the Fandel kingdom fell into an uprising. The people were sick of the king's inability to handle the plague of blood lust crazy half breeds, and the treatment of their princess. Bell was a well loved figure of the kingdom who was always trying to do what she could for the kingdom. She had been a hands on type of princess who was always mingling with the commoners and listening to their problems.

But to their surprise, as a group of knights who rebelled charged into the castle, they were met with officials huddling in the corner, shaking in fear and their king already dead. Not a single royal knight could be seen. When the officials were asked what had happened, they only muttered one word. "Dragon!"

Because Bell was thought to be killed as well, a few months later, the people of the kingdom erected a memorial in her name. She was looked upon as the savior of the little people. As for Mike… His name was written off the books as an evil king that Bell fought righteously to put down, only to die with him in the end. She became a martyr for all that was good. This was the story the rebel knights came up with and how Bell was enshrined as the first and last Queen of Fandel.

As for the real Bell, she was now looking out into the vast darkness of space with eyes brimming with excitement. She was now going to join Kana on her journey to rediscover the past of her current life.

---

While Kana was making some progress in finding out who she truly was. Three of her family members were fighting to become stronger. Creige had already moved beyond the void realm to become an ascended. But surprisingly enough, he was a step slower than Yana, who was already an Ascended Master and a well known name within the realm. Angelica was on the verge of reaching the Ascended realm as well.

"Queen of Slaughter Yana! Why must you fight us for the treasure? It is not like you even need it!" A young woman holding her wounded arm yelled as she looked at the Yana, who was tapping her sword off her shoulder with a big grin on her face. The Young woman had a golden box stuffed in her robe that she seemed to be protecting.

"Even if I do not need it, if I want it, I will take it. This is the rule of law. Only the strong can do as they please. Even if you were to send an ascended supreme at me, it would not matter to me. I will kill everyone who gets in the way of my goals." She had two goals. One was to help her Handsome Papa raise his levels quickly, and the second was to meet her Mama in the sea of stars. She would also leave a stash of resources for Angelica, who will also be joining them soon. She will never stop growing stronger. Only by growing strong can she meet her mama again.

The woman gritted her teeth as she yelled out: "You will regret this!"

"I will never regret anything over a dead person. Better luck in your next life!" Yana didn't even flinch as she sliced her sword through the woman's body and grabbed the treasure from her dying hands. "Now to go give Handsome Papa a present. Maybe I should wash the blood off this first hehe..."
