In the Hospital,
A woman soaked was wailing so pitifully that it broke hearts of those who heard her voice.
She was on phone.
"No, I didn't mean it."
"I didn't want this... Believe me."
"Dad, believe me... Please don't do this to me."
" Say Something, Dad....."
"Dad.....Dad"
Anxiously waiting for her Dad to say something...
Her ears instead heard
Harsh Brakes!
Huge Crash!
Screams!
Then a male doctor shouting "Male, 54, had a car accident. Fracture sternum, fracture Ribs. Ribs displaced in Lungs. Vitals Dropping. Breathing difficulty. Emergency resuscitation cannot be done. Urgent Surgery needed. FAST Move!"
They were moving a patient from the emergency to the operation theatre.
Passing by her side.
She saw it was her FATHER!
His face was red full of blood, his Chest was broken, bleeding and he was gasping.
Operation theatre closed.
She ran but could not catch up.
"No, No I beg you" Ira cried softly.
"Ira, Wake up! You were having a nightmare" Hearing the familiar tender male voice was heard
Ira hugged him fiercely.
"I am here"
"It was just a nightmare"
"All has passed"
Viv caressed her lightly.
Ira came back to her senses. "It was awful. I was scared."
"Good, It is over Now"
Filling a glass with water and handing her over Viv said "Come on. drink"
Ira hugged him.
"Are you okay?" Viv inquired.
"Hmm" she gave a weak smile.
It was a bad memory. It is over! All had passed! She repeated Viv's word in her mind like a spell
calming her.
Wide awake they were just talking about random things when
"I am hungry" Ira blurted.
"Look at the time. It is 3 am in the morning. Who eats at midnight?"
"This is for normal people not applicable to us. Isn't it baby?" stroking her bump.
The 'us' here didn't include Viv. It was for Ira and her baby.
"You Convinced me." Viv agreed.
"Let's order a Pizza!" Ira demanded.
"Wouldn't it be too heavy to digest at night?" Viv retorted.
With a smile, Ira said "Pasta with Cream"
"Isn't it as heavy as pizza?" Viv explained.
"Then, What?" she was irritated.
Thinking carefully for some time...
"Can we order soup," he suggested.
"Soup? Woah! the hotel does not offer soup in midnight. And if we order a takeout, It will get cold by the time it reaches the here. So pizza It is?"
Ira added.
"And Why Are We even arguing? It is already 2 against 1 for pizza. Majority wins."
"Two. You mean the baby and you. How do you know it wants a pizza? It can be a soup.
My baby is smart enough. Isn't it?" Stroking her stomach Viv asked.
"Baby can't hear you yet. In next month it will hear outside noises. But then we share our thoughts. I
know better, Pizza It Is!" Ira laughed.
Viv gave up. Ordering pizza... The hotel didn't have service So he ordered it online. He had to go to the hotel lobby at 4 am to collect it.
Ira was eating pizza enthusiastically. While Viv was worried about her acid reflux and heartburn problems.
