Ira went back and sat on the sofa. She switched on the T.V.
Although the joy of him getting better was present. She was still upset with Vivan. His methods were getting craftier with time. Her mind flew back to the time he smirked at her foolishness. That evil man got hold of her weakness and bullied her.
Stop teasing me! So, she ignored him and focussed on the ongoing drama.
Ira was immersed that she didn't notice Vivan staring at her. Since her pregnancy, she started watching these cheesy melodramas. And what was more shocking was she even cried at them. The hormones ... Vivan shook his head.
He tried the last resort to get her attention — his live commentary. He commented on every action of the drama.
"Don't you think the man is hypocritical?"
"He is pretending to be a model husband."
"The man is not fit to be an actor."
Ira ignored at first, but at last, couldn't stand the constant buzz in her ear. She merely turned around and gave him a cold look. Not a single word was spoken, yet that was enough to lower his voice.
"I mean ... look at his acting." Vivan tsked, 'I could act better.'
Many would agree on this. After all, with his skills, Vivan had managed to fool and tease the legendary Ira Rai.
"At least he got a good face ... and body," she mumbled with her eyes fixed on the screen. A classic shower scene was playing on it. The actor's washboard glistening abs splashed g with water as he rubbed some soap.
Here, Vivan leaned on the pillow and hoisted his naked chest. He brushed his fingers against his jaw and glanced at her with pride. He had a better face and body. However, she didn't even spare a glance at him.
He wanted to scream at her. 'The man you are staring is naked (up to the waist) and thinking about another woman.
With every passing moment, he got restless.
Ira straight on neglected him, the patient who she was supposed to nurse and take care of, so he tried to bring her attention to him.
"Ira, I'm sweaty and smelly." he had a loud voice overlapping the voice from that idiot box.
"Is it?" She looked at him and then her eyes returned to the T.V.
"So? Help me?" he said. Ira cringed at that 'help me' The last memory was still fresh in her mind.
"What do you need?" She asked straightforwardly.
"Can you help wipe my body?" He asked, hesitantly. "I cannot take a shower. I have to get discharged. I have to go for the tests. The doctor will be here in some time." Afraid of the doubt she may refuse, he built his case with many reasons.
She saw him so vulnerable. Even if he had tricked her into this, she didn't mind. "Wait for a while," she said with some consideration.
"But I will get more sweaty ..." he pouted at her indifference.
The drama was near an end. The couple had reunited after many years, and this man was concerned about some sweat.
What sweat! The hospital room was better than a luxurious hotel. The air conditioner was on all the time.Ira picked a towel and threw at him without looking, "Do it yourself then." That was her limit to being duped.
"I can wait." He timidly got the towel from his face and waited.
After some time Ira stamped her way to the washroom.
On the bed, Vivan flinched at her fury. 'What happened now? I did nothing.' His gripped the bed rail.
Ah! The episode ended without the main reveal. The couple in the drama didn't meet, and they didn't resolve their misunderstandings.
