25 I'sm Back

Five months later:

Three individuals are standing behind a bubble with an archway in it. They had been standing there for what seemed like 30 minutes waiting for their wayward student's glorious return. As the three stand stiff wondering what was taking their student so long, they all suddenly turn their gaze to a bush not far away from them with their guard up.

The bush that had their focus starts making weird choking noises as if it had something stuck in it and contrary to what they thought would happen no weird monster emerged. Instead, they see their very late student pop out of the bush covered in a sickly green goop. He slowly stands up with the adi of his weapon and turns toward the bush and kick it good. Then he turns around and starts moving towards them.

They notice a limp as he is walking and all three of them summon every willpower they have to keep standing there and not rush to aid their ailing student. The student in question who by then had reached the archway pauses for a moment.

He takes in a deep breath and quickly tilts his body to the right as a vine comes out nowhere and arc pass him trying to wrap around him. He shifts his weight to his other leg and whacks the vine with his shinai (scabbard) as revenge for what it had done to him previously when he had first stepped out.

The vine tries to retreat but he was not done yet so he whacks it a few more times. Then he uses the shinai as a fork and wraps the vine around it. He turns around and pulls the vine to find out what tree the vine sprouts from. The curses under his breath as he finds out what tree it is. Turns out it was not a tree, but the same goddamn tree that launched him to the sky. Dudley briefly considers giving the bush the 'Steely Dan' treatment but he shakes it off and he steps into the archway.

As he walks toward his teachers, Wyllt closes the archway behind him. Dudley reaches his teachers and greets them with something akin to a smile but ends up looking more like a grimace.

Wyllt smiles at him and quickly begins performing diagnostic charms to find out why he was limping. He finds the problem and begins healing it along with the plethora of injuries and scabs that he finds on his student's body.

Ashura looks at him lazily and slightly nods at him on a job well done then he goes back to watching him heal.

Marimo looks at his student with a lot of emotions going through his mind but outwardly, he portrays a feeling of indifference giving nothing away. He raises his hand toward his student then he puts it back down. Knowing that the knowledge he gave before Dudley went on his trip strained their relationship a little.

"Welcome back" Marimo finally says and he turns around walking to the house.

"Don't mind him" Wyllt says

"He is really happy that you are back. In fact, he was the one who was concerned the most when you went outside the barrier. He was the one who watched you the most from afar"

Dudley looks at Wyllt weirdly.

"What, you didn't think we let our students in such a dangerous place alone, did you?"

At Dudley's unsure nod, Wyllt and Ashura let out a rambunctious laugh as if they were hearing an internal joke. This was out of character for both of them. Even Marimo who was walking away had his shoulders shaking the entire time. Leaving Dudley embarrassed at being the butt of a joke he knew nothing about,

"Pfft. Don't worry about it? You will figure it out when you have someone to teach." Ashura says with tears in his eyes. He also turns around and begins walking away. Occasionally, one could see his shoulders shaking as if reliving the joke.

Wyllt lightly coughs into his hand "I'm sure you are tired from the trip."

Dudley nods and looks at him expecting his next set of instructions.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Your room is waiting for you. By the way, you did not hear this from me but you are getting a week off to get yourself together" Wyllt says

Dudley nods at Wyllt as he starts heading for his room. Wyllt stands there doing watching Dudley walk to the house. 'Well, I better get going' he thinks and he disappears in a flicker of light. The world around him glitches as he flickers and eventually disappears.

A tiny hole appears from where he left.
