107 chapter 107. Budding romance 1

Of course, he doesnt have any idea because he never actually attended the festival after the age of seven, after the demise of the Empress. And, he didnt know about the ritual at this Cosmos Lake Festival.

Peter grinned like an idiot looking at his friend's stupidity, " Idiot, even children here knew about the custom. It is rumoured that if couples release the boat together in the cosmos lake during the boat festival, and make wishes, then their wishes will come true. It is believed that their love for each other will increase with each passing day and they will live together for an eternity. Many believe, they will get the blessings of Gods and our ancestors. People from all over the capital even from all parts of the country, every year come here for this very particular night of the festival to make wishes. There's a lot of meaning for this very special night of festival Evan, " Peter completed everything in one go, taking a deep breath afterwards.

Peter isn't the type to believe in such customs and traditions, but there is nothing wrong in doing accordingly. What he always wished for was his best friends happiness. Keeping the rumors and customs aside for a moment, using this incident, he can at least get them an oppurtunity to be close for sometime, knowing Evan isn't the type to take initiation.

They both can't really spend time together, seeing Evan is busy training under his father and the court officials to become a great Emperor and to deal dire situations of the empire and Aeinshia, now, mostly stays in the Duke's mansion, since, Felix returned. 

There is absolutely no way they are going to talk to each other at this rate. And, Peter feared the worst. What if they can't even talk until, Evan comes of age and until they get married. Well, Peter wasn't mostly worries about other's love lives, but Evan would bug to ends of the earth, if situation came to what he could think of. 

So, he was trying to make them talk a lot, whenever he sees the opportunity, so that Evan doesnt bug him and give him silent treatment, because he didnt have time to talk to his love. He had faced enough of that in City Valencia. And, playing cupid was harder than what he thought, but he likes it somehow. 

However, what Peter doesn't know was, Evan now isn't the Evan back then. He began to express his love for Aeinshia and already started chasing after his love. He began to show his love by his little actions and words. If everything went well as he planned, then anyone doesn't have to be bothered about his marriage and love life.

He had been search in for an opportunity since, their garden under the moonlight tear talk. He wanted to talk more and get to know and let her know more about him. He maybe awkward, but he loved being beside her. 

Evan nodded his head lightly, "ok, " He curtly replied back.

Peter gave Evan a pull towards him, Evans ears near Peter, " What Ok my friend? Why are you so slow like a snail? You need to find your love immediately and get blessings together. Why are you still here? Rush already, " He whispered in Evans ears, his hot breathe brushing past Evans earlobes, sending shivers inside Evan's body.

Even though it is spring, the nights are a little chilly in capital.

Evan freed himself of Peter's hold by pushing him away from him, " What nonsense are you spouting now. Get lost from here, " Evan shooed him away.

Evan neither agreed nor disagreed that he is in love with Aeinshia. This fact itself proved Peter that his speculations were all correct.

Peter wanted to tease back Evan, however, his eyes caught something he never imagined to see. Even though, Evan tried his best to maintain his composure, Peter didn't miss to notice Evan's little blush and the red hue at his ears.

Looking at his friend reacting to this stage, he couldn't make himself to tease Evan anymore. Too much of anything worsens the relationship. And, the guy is hopelessly in love from what he can see. 

Thinking as such, " My purpose for today is fulfilled. Wow, I can make a good cupid! Maybe I should being his aide and just a matchmaker instead? Sounds good. Time to take my leave, don't forget about what I said, Good time lover boy," Saying such, he disappeared into crowd, just like how he popped up out of nowhere.

No matter how much he tried to hide, at last Peter finally caught him and understood his feelings for Aeinshia. Afterall, they are best friends for a reason. Both of them studied and understood about eachother alot during the years they stayed together and Peter is just like his twin brother to Evan holding very high value in his life.

Not wasting anymore time, he immediately started to search for Aeinshia.

" Aeinshia, I hope you didn't leave the festival yet, " Evan hopped as he muttered to himself.

It's not that hard to find anyone along the capital ground streets. Atmost, half an hour if they had to search every single lane, however, time is what precious to Evan now. He can't waste any single minute, doubting whether Aeinshia is still here or not.

If he misses today's chance, then he got to wait for an entire year. But isn't it too late, considering how good it would be if they got blessings as earlier as possible?

A long while later-----

Evan searched the entire east streets of captial. Biting his lips in trance, " I should have asked Peter to search along with me. When did finding someone in capital grounds became so hard? " As his brain processed such, he scanned southern streets.

The streets in southern were bustling with people unlike any other streets. It became even more hard for him to search her. He knew, it is enough if he could point atleast one Rutz household guard, then he can find where is Aeinshia, since the guards will be protecting her hiding somewhere near.

He turned around in discouragement, thinking she is not in this part of capital ground streets, probably God too is not on his side. At that very instant, he heard a scream belonging to a very familiar person.

Rushing towards the direction, he could see from afar that it was his love, who is throwing fiery punches at her brother Felix.

Evan chuckled lightly, amazed at her cute expression and stupified face.

Felix must have done something for her to beat him like that. He really can't end a day without any show. That guy loves to tease anyone. Nobody can escape. Even, his father doesn't have a say against his teasing, then others are just dust.

Evan sighed in relief, finally finding Aeinshia. Now that he finally found her, there's no rush to take action. He could wait for a perfect moment to join their conversation and till then lurk around them.

However, things won't go along as one plans. Felix senses alerted, noticing someone's gaze on them. He quickly turned around, only to spot Evan smiling at them.

Felix held Aeinshia's hands with one hand, following that he turned around to face Evan and waved at him with his other hand, wanting to find out his purpose for visit.

Aish~ I got spotted too early. He really can't care less about Felix's abilities. That guy is too alert for his own good.

Thinking as such, he made his way towards his family.

" I thought you guys must have gone back to palace already. Didn't expect to meet you all here, " Evan lied through his teeth, trying to act, that he isn't purposeful searching for them, precisely for Aeinshia.

Both Felix and Aeinshia didn't believe Evan's words, however, no one really wanted to reveal his act, and so got along with the play.

Felix smiled warmly, " The weather is good and our little princess Lucia insisted to play along the streets for some more time, " He explained clearly, as his eyes pointed at Lucia.

That's when Evan noticed his little sister, holding Aeinshia's hand for support. He really didn't notice this small figure until they introduced her.

" Brother, look at these toys, they were all made of wood and I never saw them inside our palace, " Lucia spoke cutely, attacking Evan with cuteness.

Evan kneeled on one leg, reaching to his younger sisters height, " You can buy as many as you want, " Saying that his hands unconsciously patted her head, messing her hair lightly. "Little sister" he smiled when he uttered that. It feels nice to say it. 

Lucia's eyes widened in shock, " Brother Evan, you are messing it up. That's a no no, " She replied trying to clean up the mess, not knowing, she messed it even more.

Evan chuckled out loudly, unable to resist her cuteness load anymore.

She must be the princess whom my father likes a lot.

He heard many people saying that the emperor spends alot of his time on princess Lucia and likes her outgoing character alot.

He heard she thinks beyond her age and talks reasoning with people. But what he didn't expect was this cute side of his sister.

Now he finally understood, no matter how smart a child might be, they are children at the end and their cuteness and innocence is beyond any explanation.

Speaking to his sister, he forgot about his purpose of visit. However, as if someone reminded him, he immediately scambled to his feet, while turning to face Aeinshia.

" Aeinshia, " He called out for her.

Their eyes met. Her gentle smile making him irresistible to look away from her.
