123 Chapter 123. Riot and handling- 2

"Your orders would be followed, your highness." Charles Wilson, bowed his head in acknowledgement.

"I would be increasing the guards and spies and informants around the Palace and capital to find the mole with your permission, your highness." Andrew spoke out, suggesting mildly, while observing Alexander's far away look.

'Something is bothering you, my friend.' He silently thought to himself.

Alexander snapped out of it. Though, he was thinking some other things, he heard one of his General and nodded his head. "That would be good. Everything should lay low. Only the movements to the East should hold the volume. Specially the matters in the Palace. "

Alexander said and the plan was finalized.

Everyone were given their tasks to be done and the Dukes and Marques were told to keep an eye on almost everyone.

During this entire decision making, two people were entirely and oddly silent.

After a long silence, Evan spoke out, "Your highness, something doesn't seem right. I think something terrible might be going on in the West." His voice a bit unsure, but had firm edge to it.

Everyone turned to look at the young Crown Prince, still under training, who just spoke something unsure after everything was pitched in.

Evan looked up and saw everyone were eyeing him. He suddenly tensed up since he spoke his inner thoughts without giving much thought to anything, but soon composed himself. He had spoken out a bit and now he had to keep his word in front of everyone.

"As known, the guards at the East are most powerful, seeing as our trades profits are more from the Sea of the East. And, the government there had no problems till now and no revolts had taken place. Everything was calm and went with peace all this while.

There were only recent uncertainties taking place in the East, from past year or sometime before that. As per my knowledge and understanding, I don't think, this is happening naturally. " He stopped to see the reaction of others and caught their immersed expressions.

Well, he wouldn't have such suspicions if the revoult didn't trun this violet to the point that, normal commoners defeating hightly well trained warriors. Seazle empire is famous for its skilled warriors. In terms of combat and denfensive skills, no other empire could compare with Seazle empire now. From the establishment of the empire, the empire greatly concentrated on providing great warriors to protect this empire.

"Prince Evan are you suggesting that, they are being provoked?" Alexander spoke out, till what he understood from his son's words.

" But, the message says many were killed and citizens are going after our government officials there. This shows there is more dissatisfaction and uncertainties and many borders between us and the citizens over there. I think a third party hand is involved here. "

Evan finished his thoughts and analysis as he can see in the situation. Alexnader was stunned. He didn't think of that possibility. If what Evan says is true, then the problem is far more complicated.

A person sitting with his face in his palms, cleared his throat softly and stood up to speak and suggest his thoughts.

"I totally give my agreement to the Crown Prince's statement, your highness. Our government isn't that easy to take down. I've toured the East coast a while ago and everything was pretty clean. Something definitely is going wrong from inside. "

Ambassador Cyrus spoke out, telling his agreements and observations, he toured around the East and surveyed the Sea Port area just few months ago. So he clearly knew, the situation really did go bad at once without any particular reason behind.

Such revolts from people to empire were normal, but this is beyond normal to slide it away.

Alexander was in deep thought now. Whatever was being said is true. They know there are rotten roots, but they don't know their place and how to cut them off.

While Alexander was in deep thought, Milan Cyrus started to put his thoughts in front of him, again.

"Uhmm... Your highness, with your permission I would like to suggest something." Milan hesitated a bit to tell what's in his mind. The Emperor just nodded and gestured with his hand to go on and say whatever is running through his head.

"I'm grateful, your highness. Seeing the dissatisfaction and uncertainties on the Emperor and government in the people, I feel it would be a best option if we send high ranking people to the East. Seeing high ranked officials make them feel we are giving the importance they required and maybe come to negotiate with us. "

Milan stopped his words, to see the reaction. Alexander raised his eyebrow and looked towards General Hendrel. Milan, too looked at him, who had an obvious expression on his face.

"I'm aware that General Hendrel, would handle the situation. But, as per my knowledge on observing people, this won't do any good to the situation." Milan completed.

Alexander sighed, he knew the man was not confident to say out the words "Ambassador Cyrus, just get your words out. Don't waste the court's time, if you are going to beat around the bush. We don't have time for all this." He said, irritatedly.

Milan bowed his head and started to speak. "Apologies, my highness. It was not my intention to offend you or the court by wasting time." He stood up straight and cleared his throat.

"I suggest, our Crown Prince to address this issue in the East." There it was. Now in the open. What he wanted to say.

The court suddenly went silent. Everyone staring at the man who kept his stance. Evan was eyeing with slightly wide eyes.

After some moments, Alexander said the words, breaking the silence, "What makes you suggest that, Ambassador?" He questioned with raised eyebrows.

Milan gulped down his saliva, suddenly scared of what the Emperor was expecting from him. He had to do this and he must do it. He placed himself out in the open and now, he can't defy what he started. He finally decided to take the bullet.

"Your highness, it is known in the empire that the First Prince has returned and getting ready to take over the throne of the Seazle empire. If, the Prince happens to go there to handle the situation, then there is a high possibility of the citizens to understand his stance, seeing as his highness is from the Royal family, and the next heir to the throne. "

" This would create a positive feeling towards us, that we don't abandon them. This can also, prove to be a great learning experience to his highness himself. He can be aware of how the citizens really deal with every decision from the Royal family." He completed his words and waited for any reaction.

This time the reply came from an unexpected person, Duke Jake Turner. A tall, fair and muscular man, with a baby face. But, eyes very serious and focused. "But, we can't risk our young Prince going to such uncertain place. They have attacked our guards and government officials. They can also be violent to our young highness, Ambassador Milan Cyrus. He is our future emperor, what if---- I better not complete those words, " The man, put up the objection on the given statement and swallowed few words, strictly gave a 'no' to this suggestion of ambassador Milan.

Milan just stared at the man and smiled a bit. "Duke Turner, I think my words may have misled you. And, apologize I couldn't exactly convey the meaning. I want to clear something. I'm suggesting for the Prince's presence there. Of course, we can't risk our highness' life. I would never suggest something this irresponsible. General Hendrel can follow his highness, with his part of army and protect him from any kind of harm."

He said that to the Duke and then, turned towards Alexander to convey his final message. "Your highness, Emperor, I'm suggesting what I think is best for our empire, citizens and also, his highness, Crown Prince. This can work as an opportunity for his highness, to increase his scope of favouribility among our citizens. I hope you consider my words." Milan finally bowed down and took his seat and turned his gaze to look at Duke Turner. Both, exchanging an unreadable gaze.

Alexander now, fell into deep thought. Whatever his officials are suggesting are true. He can do whatever he wants, but he has to take what his officials are saying into consideration, or else there would be chaos among them and he can't afford that right now. Now, the decision lies in the hands of Evan. He turned to look at his son and saw him frowning and fidgeting with his fingers.

He was thinking, that much was clear. As much as, Alexander hates to say this, but Evan has to be on the good side of the officials in his court. Of course they respect him and follow his orders, but he also, has to keep his orders in check. If he keeps on disagreeing, they can easily turn against him.

All the officials seated here come from highly respected and powerful family backgrounds. They have a lot of connections, that they think he doesn't know of. Any wrong step from his side, can put him and his family into grave danger.  These same officials' families didn't support him when he was in great need of their support. Those times were not easy for him, but he made them come around. And, no he didn't want to go through all this again. Especially, not put his son in his shoes facing such situations.

He wanted his son, Evan to understand this and handle the matters delicately. Before taking a decision, he had to look for benefits for not only the citizens, but also the officials opinions.

He stared at Evan and he was still fidgeting in his seat. He didn't know what he was thinking, but decisions needed to be taken fast in this current situation.

'I hope you will choose well, son. My hopes reside on you.'
