Chapter 34 - Crystal Finder

Cyril decided to return to the Reim Town for now as he needs to start looking for Purple Crystals…

Even if he has Crystal Finder and Xagan's ability to fulfill his request, he doesn't want to use it inside a large city where there could indeed be a lot of crystals but they are already being own or perhaps, in the property of some powerful guilds or organization.

He wanted to use his options in places that wouldn't cause too much complication if he ever found a crystal.

Of course, once he becomes powerful enough to protect himself, or perhaps, he could take the Silent Steps Artifact, he wouldn't mind taking some ownerless Artifact even it's in the most dangerous places on Earth…

But for now, Cyril knows that it is better to target low-class Arcane World and test his Rank S strength against the low-tier magical beasts.

'Hmm… Should I test my Crystal Finder?' Cyril suddenly thought after realizing that it would still take time for his train to arrive at his station.

As he was pondering, he looked at the projection of Xagan and noticed that the Demon was reading another book again. This time, it looks similar to the book being read by the man in front of him.

It appears that this demon truly has a fascinating ability even without granting his wish.

He glanced at his surroundings and there are only four passengers in this train car.

'Well… I guess it's not bad. It wouldn't use all of my Aura anyway.' Cyril mused as he unzipped his bag.

He didn't pull out the Crystal Finder as he decided to use it while being hidden inside the bag.

Benjo Paras, or the director of the White Wolf Navigation who gave him this item, mentioned that it could cover at least 500 meters to 5 kilometers depending on the strength of the aura placed into it.

Of course, the distance is too short compared to what Xagan can do by spending his life span. Xagan's lowest search radius was actually 10 kilometers for 50 days of his lifespan!

'Anyway, it's true that the man's Crystal Finder is one of the finest right now…' Cyril thought as he started activating the device.

Apparently, the normal Crystal Finder can only cover 300 meters up to 1.5 kilometers max if used by S-Rank Awakened!

It means that this finder's maximum of 5 kilometers was indeed something that his company must be proud of.

Of course, this also explains why it's difficult to find the Purple Crystals. The range is short and there are even cases that it can be obstructed by another Crystal Finder activation in the area.

'Hmm… This amount of Aura should be enough…' Cyril thought as he waited for the result.

The finder is a small device but a bit large than a mobile phone so it's easy to hide the device. Nevertheless, Benjo had also mentioned to him that this Finder's effectiveness is several times better as it could locate crystals that others can't easily detect…

Three weak noises were suddenly heard after the activation.

Since he used a considerable amount of Aura to activate the device, he managed to cover 2 kilometers radius and detected three Purple Crystals.

He quickly checked the coordinates and noticed that they are within the large buildings of the city.

This means that they are most likely owned Purple Crystals… Even he could find them, he will surely not be able to get them.

Time passed quickly as he arrived at his station.

The door on the left side of the train then opened as he walks out of it. However, as he was moving, he met his Aunt that was about to board the train!

"Oh! Cy! I thought you'll be arriving a bit later. The key is under the same pot… I'll just have another business in the city… Bye now!"

Cyril was almost unable to reply as his Aunt is hurrying to make sure not to miss her train. He's informing her every night about his location including his plans to return to the town.

So her Aunt Bonnie is aware that he is returning today but he just didn't mention at what time.

'Business in the city, huh… Is it another order of beautiful flowers from a different Arcane World?'

Cyril mused as he continued his way to the flower shop and his current place.

He took a quick rest and change of clothes before he decided to look for a crystal. This time, he decided to completely focus and test the limit of this special Crystal Finder.

He poured his pure Aura into the device and saw a good result.

Beep! Beep!

Two sounds from the device came!

One is inside the Martial Arts Training Hall, perhaps owned by the owner, and the other one appears to be in the Town Square!

"This must be it!"

Cyril exclaimed after confirming the location.

He quickly found his shoes and decided to see the Crystal's location… Of course, he's also feeling a bit curious since if it's just somewhere within the Square!

There should've been a person who had found it long ago.

There was no way that no one used a Crystal Finder here!

With this in mind, Cyril's excitement died down. Of course, he still decided to continue and see it for himself.

Then, he saw where the purple crystal was!

'Ahh! So that's why…'

Finally, he realized that location of the Crystal was a bit tricky. This is probably the reason why the others who have tried to use their standard Crystal Finder didn't get a result.

Most likely, Cyril only found this since he had used such a high-quality Finder!

'It's near with the statue of this town's first A-Rank Awakened… I heard rumors that the Town Chief used the man's true Artifacts… So it was actually true?!'

Cyril couldn't help but be impressed.

In truth, even with his current 'best' device, it just barely detected the crystal.

The sign showing that the location has crystal was so weak that people might think that the crystal's power wasn't that great.

However, that is not the truth...

"Now... How do I get this thing out...." Cyril muttered as the Purple Crystal was inside the foundation of the Statue!
