Cyril took the five daggers with him as he enthusiastically continued to the path where the creatures came from.
That battle was quite easier since they couldn't attack him at the same time. This means that as long as he retains the Aura that is protecting him, he wouldn't experience that much trouble.
He's now also in a good mood since having these five enchanted daggers means that there's a capable goblin smith in their base and perhaps, he could find a lot more Rank F Artifacts that he could sell for money!
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Cyril's footsteps could not be hidden even with his light steps. He set aside his original dagger and wielded two daggers that he just got from the red goblins…
Graahh! Graahh!
It didn't take that long before he heard the angry goblins… They must've smelled the scent of blood coming from the tunnel.
This time, they didn't blindly enter the narrow path and they seem to be waiting for him on the other side.
As soon as he came out of the tunnel, he arrived at a huge cavern that it actually getting sunlight from above through some small cracks!
He can see about 30 or so goblins within the cavern and a goblin chief indeed!
The cavern seems to have enough dwelling for over a hundred of them so it seems that the others are either hiding or mining on some other side of his dungeon.
Anyway, Cyril looked up and saw the large cracks where the sunlight is coming from. The red goblin, or perhaps every goblin, wasn't known from living deep underground, so he already expected that the surface wasn't that far after seeing a goblin miner.
'Well… I should be able to deal with them… But why are they not attacking yet?'
Cyril felt quite curious. He knows that the goblins were hot-headed creatures and would attack anyone especially those who are invading their territory…
There is only one exception from this and that is when their chief ordered them to hold…
After realizing this, Cyril looked at the two-meter tall red goblin wielding a bone claw on his left and a bone gauntlet on his right hand.
That's right, the one on the left has three protruding curved blades like a claw while the gauntlet on his right arm seems to be made to crush the body of any creatures he could get a grab on.
'Interesting… How come I've never seen this before? All the Goblin Chief's weapons I've found being sold were all wooden club and magic staff…'
Cyril mused and he could only guess the reason. Perhaps the bone weapons were monopolized since they are the best Rank F or D Artifacts and no one wanted to sell them or this Arcane World that he found is just that unique.
He then saw the huge goblin walk forward as the others backed away… It seems that he's planning on facing him alone.
Graa… Graawr…
The goblin growled as he approaches him. After he reached about five meters away from him, the goblin stopped and continued growling at him…
"Are you trying to say something to me? Sorry, I can't understand you."
Nevertheless, Cyril became a bit interested in this so he asked Xagan using their unique connection.
'Xagan… Is there a way for me to understand the language of this goblin? It would be interesting…'
'Well, I don't have a magic that can specifically let you learn the goblin's language… However, you can say that I have universal magic that will allow you to understand and communicate with all intelligent species… Of course, these red goblins will be included in that…'
'What? That's amazing! It's better than the Artifacts that will let us communicate with the Elves and others someday… How much was it?!' Cyril excitedly asked.
If he learned this ability, he might be able to find the Tree of Life a lot easier. After all, he would be able to communicate with some magical creatures or species that he would just normally try to kill in his past life.
He would be able to speak the Vampires, Lycans, Elves, Fairies, high-ranking Undeads, Dwarves, Trolls, Nagas, or perhaps even Dragons!
Just imagining it elated the young man for his future!
Nevertheless, he knows that it would be very expensive so he prepared his heart.
'That will cost you exactly 350 days, Contractor…' Xagan replied with a very pleased tone.
On the other hand, Cyril who was expecting that it would cost over a year was surprised!
'It's not a bad price, Xagan…'
Bang!
After seeing that Cyril has nothing to say after growling for a while, the Goblin Chief started attacking…
He kicked on the ground and pounced towards Cyril who's still making transactions with Xagan.
That's right, he decided to take the Universal Species Communicator Ability… The truth was that he was planning to take the Artifact that can help him communicate with other species. However, he found out that this is a better option!
He was too inclined on looking for Artifacts since he thought that it would be pricey to have such a powerful linguistic ability…
Nevertheless, he is now capable of not just speaking with other creatures but to other fellow Awakened abroad as well!
Though almost a year was taken out from him, he didn't mind it that much since he knows that his search would also lessen if he has this ability!
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Cyril defended against the Chief's claw strike and dodge that hand that was trying to grab and crush his head.
"You're a tough one human! But you won't last that long!" The goblin said as he continued attacking.
"Hahaha! I can really understand you! But let me show you who's the boss before we talk!"
Cyril laughed as he threw his daggers to the chief…
Clang! Clang!
It was blocked by the thick bone gauntlet on his right arm, however, Cyril dashed forward and dealt a powerful punch to the goblin's stomach!
The goblin chief flew from that punch as he hit the wall of the cavern!
The red goblins watching from the side had an incredulous expressions as they couldn't believe what they've just seen!
