The Elf in front of them appears to be in his twenties. He has a huge build compared to the other elves and his charisma overflows as soon as he removed his hood covering his head.
'Hmm… Is this some sort of enchanting magic?' Cyril thought after being attracted for a moment.
The elf has fair skin and enchanting green eyes… He also has the pointy ears that Cyril had heard of.
This is his first time seeing them personally so he's quite intrigued with their appearance. After all, he wasn't previously allowed to explore inside a Mid-Class Arcane World similar to this.
Cyril then took a deep breath to sort his mind before answering. He has to carefully choose his words as he needed to gain their trust.
"We are here in hopes to establish a good relationship between your race and ours. We want to make a trade… We have brought a few items that we could offer for a trade and it will be in exchange for your knowledge. If none of them captures your eyes, we can try to obtain many things that you may not find on this large island. You can just name it and we'll do our best to look for it."
After saying this, Cyril quickly whispered to Silver to show them what they've prepared.
The man nodded after hearing Cyril and ordered his men to pull out their pouches.
Soon, six pouches containing small stones were dropped in front of the Elf.
Nevertheless, instead of checking it immediately, the Elf who didn't identify himself signaled to one of his people at his back to check the bags.
Suddenly, a couple of white foxes walked out of the forest… The two beasts quietly approached the pouches and sniffed into them for a while…
Then, they looked at the leader of the Elves and made some kind of noise. They are most likely communicating with the elves.
The elf then nodded as he let the foxes return to the forest. After doing this, a couple of slim elves appeared like a ghost beside the small bags. They opened it slowly and looked inside.
There they found precious stones as they immediately signaled to their leader.
"Magic Cores!" The leader exclaimed after realizing what was inside the bags.
Because the pouches were made of special materials, even the elves were unable to sense the Magic Cores inside without opening them.
Cyril smiled after seeing their reaction. He already knows the content of the pouches and felt a bit of envy. Magic Cores were something that some Magical Beasts has within their bodies.
If he wasn't mistaken, the low-class Arcane World only had about a 2% chance of producing Magic Cores. In short, it is extremely rare for them to appear.
Nevertheless, the Aeson Company managed to produce Magic Cores for the sake of establishing relationships with the Elves which is really impressive.
Apparently, they already wanted to do this for a long time and they were almost giving up when Cyril appeared in their midst. If he did not appear, they would most likely have to reconsider this Arcane World and perhaps sell them to another Guild instead.
'Well, the Magic Cores barely has any uses at the moment since it's still being researched by the Alchemists on Earth.'
Cyril pondered after seeing the Elves' reactions. He knows that Elves are all sensitive to the power of life and likes the Magic Ores around them.
On Earth, on the other hand, the Magic Cores are being used to create simple protection arrays and as a tool to enhance some Artifacts.
They are unlike the Aura Stones that can be used directly by the Awakened on Earth to replenish their power. One sample of this Aura Stone is the redprite ores that are being mined by the Red Goblins inside Cyril's Arcane World.
'I wonder if I can get Magic Cores from the Director too…' Cyril was lost in his thought.
Magic Cores may not be that important now but once the Devils in the Abyss appeared, they would be extremely helpful for the Awakened.
"Fine! I would like to hear more of what you want from us. I would like to invite you all to our small town. Right, I'm Druindar Balhorn. I'm the Captain of the Black Arrow Brigade."
As soon as Cyril heard this, he couldn't help but immediately smile. Silver and the others noticed his expression so they could tell that the transaction is going well.
They couldn't help but heave a sigh of relief.
"Thank you for giving us a chance Commander Druindar. You will not regret this." Cyril replied and immediately explained the situation to Silver and the others.
Then, they saw the two slim elves carry the pouches and gestures for Cyril's group to follow them.
Finally, the elves hiding around the tress sheathed their weapons and disappeared into the darkness.
"Since they are inviting us, I don't think that they have any bad intention. However, we still need to be prudent in our actions. Cyril, if you feel that they have a sinister plan, you have to immediately let me know so we can escape."
Silver said softly as they followed the elves. Well, even if he spoke aloud, the Elves wouldn't understand him.
"I get it. We need to be careful. Anyway, aside from their knowledge about runes and ancient magic, does your company have other things they want. Ahh… I'm just asking since they might actually refuse it once they know our intention."
Cyril said.
"Well, those two are the most important thing. However, we can just return in case those two are impossible to acquire. After all, their weapon's crafting skills might be something that can be negotiated too."
Silver answered.
However, Cyril knows that if the Elves were truly not that useful for them, the Entrance Crystal might just be sold to a more powerful Awakened Guild and their race might just be exterminated completely and make this place a vacation island.
