As Cyril appeared in the room, Bonnie had just finished cooking their lunch although a bit late.
She heard a sound in the Crystals Room so she could quickly tell that Cyril has already returned.
"Cyril, are you there?" She knocked while calling.
"Yes… It's not locked." Cyril responded.
As soon as Bonnie opened the door, she saw Cyril inspecting a poor-quality shield and sword.
"Are those Artifacts?"
"Ugh… Just some garbage… However, this is still considered an F-Rank item even though it has low durability. I think it has some kind of effects since the rust here doesn't seem to be simple."
"Is that so? Is it from the zombies? But you might get infected if you used these items, so be careful."
"Hmm… You're right. I'll clean them and have someone check these two later. I'll leave them here for a while so try not to touch it for now."
"Got it… By the way, you mentioned that the Zombie Cemetery is like a swamp, how come there are no traces of water on the floor? Wait, your boots aren't even wet." Bonnie suddenly asked after observing Cyril.
She was first looking for any injuries on his body but realized this instead.
"Ahhh… The dirty water is probably considered as things that can't be taken out of the Arcane World. Don't worry."
"Ahh… That makes sense then…"
Bonnie replied recalling the laws of the Arcane Worlds. She no longer paid attention to it and told Cyril to clean himself so they can have lunch together.
After eating, Cyril decided to teach Bonnie about the potions and other stuff that she might want to try.
Cyril doesn't want to force Bonnie to become a Potion Expert. He wanted her to do what she loves to do. At the very least, he would give her options and have her learn various things so she could decide what to focus on.
"What? So you know how to make some Array Formations and Runesmithing aside from concocting potions?"
Bonnie could no longer contain her surprise as soon as she heard this.
"Well, I only know the beginners level. However, it should be enough since we don't need to master them."
"Why not? Wouldn't it be better if we all mastered these techniques?" Bonnie asked thinking nothing wrong with what she just said.
Her question indeed makes sense from her point of view.
Cyril bitterly smiled as he tried to carefully choose his words.
"Hmmm… There are limits to what an Awakened can accomplish with these techniques that came from different Arcane Worlds. So we shouldn't focus on them too much. After all, even if they are quite good, Artifacts that are capable of making them should be existing as well. Using those artifacts would be a lot easier too and you'll just waste time studying them. It's enough just to learn their basics."
Cyril explained and even though Bonnie was still unconvinced, she decided to just do what he said. Anyway, she's not thinking that she's talented enough to learn all of them in the first place.
His passing of knowledge lasted until night.
Tomorrow, Cyril has to wake up early and head to the Awakened Association Branch in Kaiser City…
The Forbes Park Subdivision they were currently at is located at Versailles City, which is the capital city of their country…
On the other hand, Kaiser City is one of the largest cities and hub of many Awakened Guilds.
As he was about to sleep, Cyril noticed that he missed a few calls from his friend.
"Naomi?" Cyril hesitated after seeing the name on his phone.
This childhood friend of his wasn't really a part of his life in his later years, supposedly. However, because of the changes he made in that past month, he had gotten a bit closer to her.
"Unlike me, she should be studying right now to get into a better university… Ugh… However, I might as well ask her about her plans…"
Cyril took a deep breath as he decided to call her back.
This young lady should become a good doctor that will study the medicines and various potions that will come from the Arcane World… On the other hand, in case she didn't really want to pursue this path, Cyril will of course try to help her as much as he can. This way, he would have a lot more helper in the future.
Ring! Ring!
Cyril dialed the phone and it didn't take long before someone answered on the other line.
"Cyril! I was told that you already moved away! I heard from Miss Bonnie about your plans but I didn't know you would just leave like that!"
"Ugh… It was my bad. I'm sorry. There have been too many things I have to worry about lately."
Cyril scratched his head after realizing it. She was indeed correct as they moved quickly as soon as he managed to purchase the property.
"Well… I'm not sure how busy you are. Is it that difficult to be Awakened? I thought that B-Rank Awakened would have it easy…"
"Was it Aunt Bonnie who told you my Rank? Ugh… Anyway, it is quite busy since I'm a new Awakened, remember? I have to take care of a lot of things and there's also the License Exam. There are many Awakened failing that exam after all." Cyril said as he tried to look newbie in front of her.
As for her knowing his rank, it doesn't really matter.
"I guess you're right. I heard from my cousins that they indeed took many weeks to control their Aura. They were somehow quarantined on that duration until they were allowed to get out of the Awakened Association."
"Quarantined? They should be able to take a Limiter Mark if they can't pass the exam, right. They do not need to rush…"
"Ugh! They were indeed offered to have a Limiter after they failed for a week. However, my cousins decided not to take the Limiter and practiced inside the safe facility instead. Their hard work at least paid off and they controlled their Aura in three weeks or so."
'They have poor talent, I guess…' Cyril thought but he didn't dare to voice it out.
"So, have you experienced entering an Arcane World? How was it?" Naomi suddenly asked.
"I would take one tomorrow… It was prepared by the Association to train me."
"Ah! Tomorrow? Good luck then! You should be careful…"
The two chatted for about half an hour before Naomi unwillingly ended the call since Cyril still needed to wake up early in the morning.
Cyril could feel that Naomi is somehow holding back and still has to say something...
'Ahh... It must be my imagination....' Cyril thought as he closed his eyes to sleep.
