Chapter 109 - Auction ( 1 )

"Do you know him?" Bonnie whispered to Cyril's ears after noticing that her nephew froze at the sight of an odd-looking man.

The middle-aged man's face was just average but the way he dressed inside the hotel made him really odd.

Almost everyone here is wearing business attire or evening gowns. They all appear professional but not his case. He is wearing what seemed to be a red raincoat!

It was like he was afraid that people wouldn't notice him so he decided to wear such a thing.

"Not really, Aunt Bonnie. However, you have to make sure not to mess with this guy. He's bad news." Cyril said without explaining too much.

"I'll keep it in mind. But… is he a B-Rank or A-Rank Awakened?" Bonnie asked silently.

"He's an A-Rank… I forgot his name but I know he's dangerous. Let's stay away from him."

"Got it."

Bonnie then remained silent as she followed Cyril to their seats. They were served some drinks while they waited for the event to start.

On the other hand, Cyril started chatting with Xagan…

"Xagan… Are you also capable of doing some kind of background check? Like telling me the history of someone or telling me his memories?"

"Whoa~ So you're into that thing… Of course, I can extract memories from my target, however, it's completely different from mind-reading. Once I extracted their memories, their soul will be affected… The price would depend on the strength of the target."

"I see… If I need to extract the memories of that man with a red raincoat a while ago, how much would it cost me?" Cyril asked in a serious tone.

He's actually telling the truth when he answered Bonnie a while ago. He had forgotten the name of this man but he's aware of his appearance.

After all, this person is the one who will kill the 18-year-old S-Rank Awakened girl on the twenty-sixth of December!

However, there is a problem. If he killed him now, whoever ordered this man to kill the girl would just hire another hitman.

Myriam Goedert, a B-Rank Awakened from the Saint Torido Clan…

Nicole Jung and Stephan Jung… They were cousins and both A-Rank Awakened from the Blood Knights. That's right, these two are the ones who have been recently contracted by the Blood Knights Guild allowing them to advance into a tier 1 guild.

'Hmm? No one from the Silent Crawler Guild that I know of?' Cyril thought for a moment. After all, this guild should be considered to be the strongest in their country.

Anyway, they should have a representative here but he just didn't know them.

Soon, the Auction Hall was filled with rich people. They are all here after receiving news that there will be 3 Rank-A Artifact to be auctioned off today.

A beautiful lady appeared at the podium as she observed the crowd looking at her.

The company has certainly selected a voluptuous lady as the host for this event.

She's assisted by a couple more gorgeous ladies but her presence surely overshadowed these two other beauties.

Eve then continued explaining the process of the auction just to make sure everyone is aware of it… She noticed that most of the attendees are quite new in their event.

Finally, after three more minutes, the first item was unveiled!

It seems that they wanted to hype the crowd as they decided to put one of the Rank-A Artifacts at the beginning!

Nevertheless, none of these people have ever thought of controlling these vampires at all! Though it is only at the level of a Thrall, it is still considered precious!
