Chapter 117 - Potion

A few days ago after the Auction, Cyril translated the scrolls for Bonnie.

Two of the scrolls, or the Alchemist Notes, contain useful information about various plants, flowers, or herbs including their effects and uses.

Another two of the eight scrolls have a pill-making technique that allows someone to master the creation of Grade 1 Pills.

As for the remaining four, they contain an alchemical formula to create a couple of incredible potions… Right now, this formula is being studied by Bonnie.

Aside from this, Bonnie has already used the stone tablet and though she didn't learn any alchemical skills after activating the tablet, she at least learned how to perfectly control her F-Rank Aura!

This is already something incredible and worth celebrating… A perfect level of control isn't something easily learned in normal cases after all.

It requires years of experience or continuous practice!

Being assisted by the Stone Tablet was just too rare. These kinds of shortcuts are hard to find!

It can be said that Bonnie is just lucky to inherit the items of the Alchemist.

"Right! This first potion here, the Impulse Insight Potion, I think I finally learned how to make it!"

Bonnie excitedly said.

"Really? How can you be so fast though? I'm pretty sure you'd take a year to study them. Are you actually a genius?"

"Haha! Just listen to me first… Ehem. I think that the creation of this potion is lacking another thing that wasn't mentioned here at the scroll."

"What? Are you so good that you can say that to a genuine alchemist already? So his formula is lacking?"

Cyril asked curiously. He didn't want to ridicule his aunt but he just couldn't help it.

"Haha! Of course, not… It is just the difference in the environment. I think that my laboratory can't replicate the environment where the potion should be created. It's like this…"

Bonnie then continued explaining.

Well, the last part of the concoction actually requires the liquid to be exposed in the air for 30 seconds. It was to remove the violent "Insight" coming from the potion that was just concocted.

The Impulse Insight Potion is somehow similar to the Insight Pill that was sold at the auction. However, this potion is more potent as it can greatly boost the consumer's brain activity.

If the Insight Pill has less than a 50% chance to make the consumer learn things, then this Impulse Insight Potion would give you an 85% chance!

This is why it is extremely important for Cyril as well. If Bonnie could successfully concoct this unexpectedly great potion, then he would easily learn more Martial Arts or Sword Techniques!

This is such an incredible allure and he didn't want to miss it.

"So, you're saying that our air here is causing the problems?"

"Yes! Perhaps if I entered an Arcane World rich with energy, then it might be successful! Well, I can't find any problems in my concoctions after all. Aside from this last part, I couldn't see any other mistakes…"

She might not even be a match to these lower-tier Goblins unless she has some incredible Artifacts with her.

"Don't worry, I won't leave your side."

Cyril replied with a smile as she calmed her down.

Anyway, Cyril is actually thinking of other solutions as well. After all, this might happen oftentimes and he can't just accompany her all the time.

'There should be an Array that can help us with this… However, I only know the three basic arrays. Concealment Array, Protection Array, and Molded Fire Array… Should I try learning from the Elves?' Cyril seriously considered.

In the meantime, he decided to help his aunt arrange the scattered pieces of equipment from the laboratory. Apparently, due to Bonnie's failure to stabilize the potion at the last part of the concoction, the exposed potion created a small explosion and it almost destroyed the whole place!

"Hmm… I guess I can consider learning one more Array." Cyril thought.

The Concealment Array is the one he used to conceal the burst of aura when activating Entrance Crystal before. He had also used it several more times within his house.

On the other hand, the Protection Array and the Molded Fire Array are the two Arrays that he would always use before when Arcane Exploration takes a lot of time.

He needed to learn these techniques in the previous timeline since he don't know whether his teammate's defense perimeter can truly protect him in the first place!

Nevertheless, once he learned an Array that purifies the air and replicates the environment of the Arcane World it would be a lot easier for him.

Anyway, it didn't take long before Bonnie was introduced to Gaarm, the goblin chief.

"Master, you want this female human to work peacefully here? Then I suggest you visit the outside then."

"Oh? Is it a terrible place here?"

"Ugh… Not really, Master! It's just that this place is a mining site… She might be annoyed with the vibration happening almost every few seconds… Though the sound may be suppressed, it may not be good for her since she'll need to focus..."

Gaarm politely explained.

"Mining site, huh. You're right. Let's check the place outside. Oh… We can try checking out the village." He said.

After getting all the information she needed, Cyril decided to have Bonnie create the potion inside the previous village that he destroyed.

"Go ahead and try making the potion, Aunt… I'll be monitoring the place and protect you." Cyril said after helping her with the arrangement of her tools.

"That's good to hear! Hopefully, I can bring you good news."

Bonnie only has three sets of raw materials on hand so she has to treat this seriously.

"Good luck! I'll be waiting for a good result here."

Cyril said as he observed Bonnie enter one of the houses that were cleaned and maintained by the Red Goblins.
