Chapter 119 - Exploration Invitation ( 1 )

Cyril went along with Bonnie since this is her first time exploring an Arcane World.

As an F-Rank Awakened, she wouldn't really have a chance to enjoy an Arcane World like this. If she would have to join an exploration, she would normally be tasked to carry luggage or perhaps, become a bait or cannon fodder for the higher-ranked Awakened.

"Cy! I didn't know that this Arcane World looks beautiful. Just look at those colorful plants! Though I don't know whether they're dangerous or not, they still look pretty."

"Heh~ You're right with your intuition… Most colorful things inside the Arcane World are dangerous. They are either bait or perhaps, the poison itself. Anyway, this world is just special. Over eighty percent of the low-class Arcane World isn't as beautiful as this."

Cyril calmly replied.

After about 15 more minutes, the two decided to leave the place. Cyril also confirmed that he received all the resources that the Red Goblins mined for him.

This time, they no longer found any weird stones unlike before. Nevertheless, Cyril was still happy with the current ores he stored inside his Dimensional Storage Space. With this much, he would be able to have enough money to spend for the next two months.

Three weeks had passed peacefully.

During this time, Bonnie confirmed the Impulse Insight Potion is genuine and had no side effects whatsoever. It will allow someone to have 30 minutes of brain boost and in this duration, any techniques, martial arts, knowledge, or skills that someone wanted to practice or study would be easily learned with more than 80% chance!

This is truly a magical potion that can only be found in many fantasy books!

The only concern about this is that it can only be consumed twice by the same person. The third Impulse Insight would no longer be effective and would just be useless. It may not be harmful to the consumer but it will be considered wasteful if used the third time.

Of course, during this time, the Northern Badger Guild which he was previously interested in had opened their five new Arcane Worlds and open to all F-Rank and D-Rank Awakened!

It doesn't matter whether they are part of the guild or not, they would be allowed to enter and practice inside!

Cyril had previously listed this on his notebook since he didn't know that he'll awaken as an S-Rank…

Well, now that he's such in a higher rank, there's no way he could attend that place at all!

Ring! Ring! Ring!

Cyril's phone rang while he was working out. Apparently, he built a small gym in the backyard so he can always stay fit even if he's not joining any Arcane Exploration as of yet.

He picked up the phone and saw a number he didn't recognize.

He hesitated for a moment before deciding to answer. Anyway, he's not really keen on saving other people's numbers on his phone. So the caller might actually be someone he knows and just forgot to save their number.

"Hello, Cyril? I have good news!" A familiar voice was heard at the other end of the line.

"Oh… Myrtle! It's been a while! What's this all about?" Cyril greeted as he knows that this girl wouldn't call him randomly.

"Yeah… It's been a while. It's so difficult to meet you. You're not even planning to join any exploration unless it's mandatory… You're not just being lazy, right?" Myrtle added since Cyril did not appear again in the Awakened Association after the first exploration at all.

Of course, she's not expecting to explore with him because of the difference in their rank. It was just because they teamed up before and she didn't want to end their connection just like that.

"Well, I'm quite busy…"

"Ugh… That's true… I guess a big shot A-Rank like you has so many schedules. Anyway, I called you since there's another Arcane Exploration. It is a mid-class Arcane World where Centaurs live."

"Centaurs? That's interesting, I've never seen them in person yet. What's going on?"

Myrtle then explained everything she knows.

It appears that this Mid-Class Arcane World actually contains the Bead Artifacts that should just appear in the High-Class Arcane World. This is a very rare opportunity so Myrtle was thinking of joining an exploration team…

She recently heard that a single Bead Artifact provided to the Association can give 200 contribution points aside from money that they'll naturally receive.

The contribution points are basically a form of money within the Awakened Association. They can be traded not only for Artifacts but also for information, books, and various things that may not be related to the Arcane World.

Myrtle further explained that she managed to get into a team of five and they needed a sixth member.

"Our leader is very kind and had explored twenty-three different Arcane Worlds already… If you're not busy, please consider joining us!"

"Twenty-three? That's quite a lot then… Is he an A-Rank?" Cyril asked after being drawn to Myrtle's invitation.

"No… He's only a B-Rank Awakened but extremely capable since his equipment from head to toe are all Rank-B!"

"I see… So only six can enter the Arcane World, huh… That might be dangerous."

"No, the Entrance Crystal can allow 30 people to enter the Arcane World… So there will be five teams of six Awakened entering the Arcane World so you don't have to worry too much about our numbers."

"Thirty Awakened inside a mid-class Arcane World. I guess this is not bad."

After several more questions, he confirmed that aside from the benefits of having contribution points, all the Awakened in this Arcane Exploration will receive a gift from Vanessa Strauss…

"A gift, huh…"

Cyril wasn't excited about that. However, there might be a use for contribution points after he thinks about it.

"Alright… I have no plans on that date and time anyway… I'll join you guys."

"Really?! Thank you, Cyril!"

Their conversation finally ended as Cyril pulled out the Wraith's Sword carefully.

It created a weak pressure around the area creating a "Sword Field." This ability is quite incredible since even if Cyril wasn't a sword expert, as long as he's inside the field, he would have the skills like a sword master.

On the other hand, Magenta glanced briefly at the drawn sword before yawning again and going back to sleep.

The demoness doesn't seem to be impressed at his borrowed abilities....
