Melody watched the battle intently and monitored the movements of the other Death Knights. It would be a huge problem if they just suddenly joined the fight after all.

Right now, the three people in front of her are fighting three Death Knights in a close battle.

'It seems that using that destructive kick again is not possible. However, they seem to be moving really well. The Death Knights were unable to hit even the two C-Rank… Something's off.'

Melody analyzed the situation as he knows that Death Knights doesn't have this kind of slow movement.

Well, saying that it's slow movement might be an exaggeration but Melody could tell that they are a bit stiff and they seem to be too forceful in their movement.

'Wait… Is this what Cyril mentioned about his Artifact's effect on the surroundings? Is it already activated?'

Melody recalled their discussion about the battle plan.

Cyril is aware that Eron and Evalia who are C-Rank Awakened may have difficulties inside the Boss Room. This is why he mentioned that he'll be using his Artifact to assist them a bit when they are facing some undead creatures inside.

However, he didn't make it clear what kind of assistance it was…

'Is it that Artifact?' Melody looked at the staff on Cyril's back. However, she can't focus on it too much as she might lose attention. She had to keep an eye on the other enemies after all.

Aside from that, she had to ready her secret Spear Technique once Cyril ordered her to do so.

Boom!

"Eh?" Melody was surprised as soon as the three remaining Death Knights collapsed so easily!

The battle only lasted for three or four minutes! It was so fast!

"Cyril, we still have enough Aura to fight. We can probably defeat all the other six at this rate." Eron confidently said as he looked at the Death Knight he just defeated.

He already noticed that something was wrong with the Death Knight he's fighting. He guessed that it was done by Cyril's Artifact but he couldn't tell how he did it.

However, what's important is that he met Cyril's expectations and used his Sword's Echo Strikes to slowly destroy the bones of the Death Knight.

Thanks to his Shaman Gloves, he was barely affected by the Death Knight's Cold and Death Aura allowing him to fight with his full strength.

However, as expected of the Death Knights, even with shattered bones. They were still able to fix it and come back up!

The two Death Knights that Eron and Evalia defeated recovered completely!

"This! Brother! They just recovered!"

The two wanted to attack again with their weapons but Cyril raised his hand to stop them.

"Wait… They're already done. They already lost their strength and still trying to recharge their Death Aura. I just have to cut their connection to the Underworld."

Cyril said with a smile as he pulled 5 Goblin Grenades out of nowhere!

Boom! Boom!

A series of explosions suddenly occurred destroying the Death Knights' skulls!

If they used the Goblin Grenades at the start of the battle, there was no way they would hurt the Death Knights at all. However, the situation now is different and they are already weakened and without their Death Aura, they are completely vulnerable to any sudden attacks!

"Cough! Cough! You should warn us before you throw something like that, Cyril!" Evalia complained after being surprised.

Luckily, she immediately recognized the Goblin Grenades in his hands so she quickly used her Artifact to shield her. However, she still underestimated the perfected Goblin Grenades.

"Oh… Sorry about that." Cyril apologized as he finally looked at the six Death Knights.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

They all started moving under the order of the Elemental Lich.

'Good… So you're not going to move, huh… That's good for us.' Cyril felt glad seeing how the Lich remained unfazed after they defeated five of its Knights.

"Cyril, do you have more of those Grenades?" Eron asked in excitement. He doesn't know where he is getting the grenades but it seems that Cyril has more tricks than they've thought.

"Well, I still have a few. However, they're not effective unless the Death Knights are weakened."

"Right! I understand. We'll do the same tactic."

Eron said as he held his sword unafraid of being outnumbered by the enemies.

'Well, if they will be moving just like before, I can probably dodge some of their attacks and parry those I can't.' Eron thought as he trusted Cyril's assistance.

However, if they know that Cyril is using a Domain to do this, they would probably feel guilty since they know that field magic like Domain continuously consumes a lot of Aura to maintain its effect!

Clang! Clang!

The Death Knights were suddenly surrounded by thick Death Aura and waved their swords to the three front-line fighters.

Because they're outnumbered, Cyril signaled Melody to use her Spear Art's Secret Technique.

"Alright!"

As soon as Melody saw Cyril's signal. She immediately burst with Aura and concentrated it on her spear.

The room suddenly turned warmer as the spear turned red due to heat.

'It seems to be a combination of Aura Technique and the Artifact's Magic.' Cyril thought as he glanced at Melody's preparation.

Because she's been waiting for a while now, her casting time was actually quite fast and was soon over in 10 or so seconds.

"Eron, Evalia… Retreat to the back, now!" Cyril ordered the two as they swiftly acted to clear Melody's path…

On the other hand, Melody held her spear nervously as she charged at the Death Knights.

'Ugh… I haven't tried this against a fully-armored Death Knight yet. I hope you won't disappoint me! Third Spear Art: Fire Vortex!'

Melody shouted in her mind as her spear was suddenly covered with a raging fire. However, if one looked at it closely, the fire wasn't as simple as it seem as it created an image of a phoenix!

"Ha!"

Melody spent half of her Aura in this attack and she can't fail! She had to destroy one of the Death Knights at all costs!

Luckily, the Deaths has been scattered by the three so Melody can focus on one Death Knight without worrying about being attacked by the others.

Boom!

Surprisingly, the heat from her spear scattered the Death Aura covering the Death Knight's body. The attack hit the undead directly!

Even the sword it tried to use to block the attack was shattered into many pieces!

"Eron, Evalia! The Death Aura was no more! Attack!" Cyril commanded after seeing what had just happened. He didn't expect this as well but he has to make sure to take advantage of the situation!

The battle against the Death Knights lasted for 20 more minutes and Cyril had to use his Transcendent Shoes' Great Stomp a couple of times.

Unfortunately, just like what he's afraid of, it consumes a lot of Durability Points if he uses it consecutively. Normally, he would have to wait for six hours to use it again without worrying about its durability. But because of the situation, he has to sacrifice its durability to defeat the Death Knights a lot faster.

"C-Cyril… I can't move anymore…"

"I think I'm dying…"

"Haa~ I think I could use my Spear Art for one more time. But it might not be as stronger as the one before."

The three started gasping for breath after the long battle against the Death Knights. Apparently, after Melody destroyed one of them without the other being able to do anything, they started working together and made a battle formation. The Death Knights acted uniformly and death with them slowly by taking advantage of their spears and infinite stamina!

"I got it… It's good that we already defeated them. Anyway, just rest at the back and I'll deal with the Elemental Lich."

Cyril said as he walked forward.

Right now, the Lich is already standing up and seemed to be unfazed about the deaths of its Death Knight.

"Interesting… The four of you will be great Death Knights after killing you all."

The undead suddenly spoke.

"That won't do. I don't have plans of becoming undead." Cyril replied as he finally held his Conqueror Staff and sheathed his black sword.

"That staff… I can feel an immense power coming from it. Are you a magician? Tell me your name. I'm Gyqul the Elemental Lich King!"

Gyqul said as if he's trying to gain a friend.

Cyril found this amusing and decided to go with the flow.

"I'm Cyril. Nice to meet you, Gyqul."

Cyril introduced himself and suddenly, he poured his Aura to his Staff and fully activated his Domain.

Whooomm~

The powerful pressure was felt by the Lich King. This time, Cyril no longer suppressed it and used as much Aura as he can.. He only left enough amount Aura for him to use his trick to defeat the Elemental Lich.
