Chapter 53 - Someone That Was Supposed To Suffer Forever(2)

"I have...." I look at her as I tell her what I did,"...taken your ability to use magicules. From now on you have to live as a magic less person. That's how the rest of your life will be from now on. That's your punishment."

She looks at me with a complex expression.

"Is that all?" She speaks as she looks at me hoping there is something more.

"Isn't that too much?" Instantaneously Wade joins as he speaks to me with a shocked-sad expression.

"Of course, that's not all. I have taken your ability to kill yourself too. If somehow you try to kill yourself, you will forget why you were trying to kill yourself," I speak to her as her expression turns shocked and her eyes are wide open. Anger starts to take over her," there is only one way to kill yourself. That is to find the families of people, whom you have destroyed and help them. Until they forgive you, you won't be able to kill yourself," I speak to her as she looks at me with a serious angry expression.

She closes her eyes for a few moments before nodding.

"Morpheus isn't it too much? Is there no other way to solve this? Isn't there no option other than to cripple her? Please tell me! There has to be one. I don't want her to suffer. I don't want her to go through anything more. I want her to live a peaceful life...Please Morpheus," Wade pleads with both hands as he looks at me with eyes full of hope and sadness.

The others look at him with pity in their eyes.

Leena moves towards her father.

She thanks me once again as she looks at me before taking her father away.

I turn at the others who are looking at the father and daughter duo.

Then I get out of that room silently without anyone noticing.

Outside people are fighting among themselves as I look at them.

-Time Stop-

I move and separate them again into two groups.

-Time Start-

"Huh?" Some of them look confused while others look at me as they sigh in relief.

"What happened here?" I speak in a slightly irritated voice as I look at them.

Some of them flinch as they hear my angry voice.

"Who are-" one of them tries to speak.

-Time Stop-

I move and bring him closer to my original spot.

Then I get back to my original spot.

-Time Start-

"-you? Huh?" He stumbles a few steps back as he looks at me with a slightly shocked expression.

"I..am not...in a good mood right now. So, if you don't want to die..." I speak as I take a few steps towards him.

He tries to move.

-Time Stop-

I draw a paralysis circle on his forehead that would last for a few seconds and pour some mana into it from my dagger.

-Time Start-

He stops moving.

"... follow me. This isn't a statement or a choice. It's an order," I look straight into his eyes as I reach almost a metre away from his head, "do you understand?"

He gulps as he looks at me then nods.

His ability to move comes back.

I turn around and move without any expression.

"Follow me. All of you," I command in a heavy voice as I look at the Burning Tree.

...

ISTAN'S POV:-

A few days ago Zwain messaged me,

"Princess Lia is in Eslaine and the city is in danger."

It was a single sentence but it provided all the necessary information needed. The fact that Lia is in Elaine and he sent the message to me hints that things are messier than he can handle. Especially the part about Eslaine being in danger even in the presence of an Elf Branch and a Royal Mage.

All the Branches and high members were called in presence of the Elf King for an emergency discussion.

Everyone was startled to be called at a sudden notice. Some even tried to voice out their questions. But before they could say anything the message was presented in front of everyone. That was enough to make them realise the gravity of the situation. All of them stared at the King for his words. The King asked everyone to voice out their opinions before making the final decision.

Various discussions took place about whom should we send, how early should we send them, etc. Some volunteered to send their armies to attack the Devils. Some said to send half of the branches since the person in question to be saved, is someone who can't be ignored no matter how you see it. Apart from being the Princes, she is also a genius that may not even appear for another century in Alfheim.

"I will go," amidst the discussion a red-haired beautiful Elf spoke as her black eyes observed the surrounding. Her expression was as serious as could be, after all, she was the one who personally observed Lia's growth. The 3rd Branch of Yggdrasil, Yavanna, volunteered to save Eslaine and Lia by herself.

"I will go with you," I announced. She is my sister. It's not like I don't trust Yavanna. It's just that I don't think I would feel at ease leaving my sister in someone else's hand. Observing others, they were looking at me as if they were expecting this sort of reaction. Then our face turned at the King who was observing me and Yavanna.

"Go and bring my daughter back," he spoke with a heavy voice. His bluish-purple eyes, complementing his golden hair, looked fierce as he thought about the Devils. Yavanna and I bowed to the King before taking off immediately.

And that's how we reached at this point.

Currently, we are flying on a griffin each as the burning Sacred Tree comes into our view. Yavanna is making a serious expression as she observes the burning tree. Her eyes perceive at a certain someone before she takes out her bow,"[Dark Magic: Impending Life]" she chants as she fires the arrow

"[Life Magic: Blessing of abomination]" I chant magic that should increase the power of the arrow by 100 times. The Devils...they must die for what they have done. They absolutely cannot be forgiven.

...

UNIA'S POV:-

"Collect all the Supreme Devils you see near the base of the Sacred Tree."

I recall back to what Aether asked me to do.

'Since he has a plan, there must be something he wants to do with them,' I think as I look at the piles of the unconscious Devils locked by a high-level spell.

'The next step is to not let them die,' I look at the top of the Sacred Tree.

I hear a marching sound coming from a few metres away.

'He is coming, huh?'

Then I feel a sudden disturbance in the mana around me.

"[God Sense]" I search 100 km around me for any disturbances present.

'Huh? The Elf Prince? He already reached here...last time he wasn't here? Just what happened?' I think as I observe the faces of our new guests.

An arrow flying at a high speed is aimed at the Fire Mage at the top of the Tree.

I blink to that point in an instant there.

Moving in front of the Human mage who is looking at the Devils followed by Aether in a dazed manner, I channel mana into my scythe and slash the arrow into two halves.

-Boom.

The two halves of the arrow hit the ground far away in an instant and a loud explosion occurs.

The others are shocked at this sudden twist of events.

"Huh? Unia? Aren't you kinda late? I thought you left us behind," speaks the other human healing his arm. His condition doesn't look so good.

The female mage is looking shocked at my arrival.

Zwain is looking at me with a complicated expression.

The fire mage behind me is making a surprised expression

Soon two Elves join the fight.

Prince of Alfheim, Istan, 1st Branch of Yggdrasil joins the battle.

Yavanna, Nightmare Elf, 3rd Branch of Yggdrasil joins the battle.

"What are you doing here?" The first one to speak is Zwain.

"He asked me to be here. So I am here," I answer him.

"Ladros, huh?" speaks the man behind me as he looks at me with a disgusted expression.

He continues, "Zwain...activate your [Nature's Eyes]," as he looks at Zwain.

Zwain confused at his sudden call looks at him then activates his [Nature's Eyes].

"I will tell you everything about Ladros. I will help you guys kill Unia. I will help you kill these bastards who destroyed my life. I can break the curse but I will need an ample amount of energy to break it. I won't run away. I will pay for my sins too. But in exchange help me kill Ladros, that's all I want," he makes a demand about killing me.

"He is telling the truth," Zwain speaks as he looks at him.

"I accept your demand, help us destroy Ladros to the core and deal with Unia, in exchange you will be forgiven for all the atrocities you committed, for you did them because of your curse," Istan speaks as he takes out his longsword and points at me as he glances at the other mage who is healing his hands then at the female mage, "what will be your decision? Will you be with us or against us?" he gives them a choice.

"I will help you," speaks the female mage.

"I will too," joins the last mage.

The mage behind me tries to punch me but I dodge and reach the centre of the area.

All of them surrounded me.

The female mage throws her spear at me.

The male mages shoot a white and blue sphere each at me respectively.

Yavanna shoots a bow at me.

Istan prepares to move for close combat.

"Sorry Morpheus, looks like there is no choice but to go against you," Zwain speaks as he spreads his threads around me.

Then a voice is heard...

"It's okay.." someone comes in front of me before I make a move.

All the attacks vanish. The sphere is planted on the ground beside us.

Istans' sword is stopped as a bare hand catches the blade.

The threads all broke.

"...It's not like you can actually do something in my presence," He speaks with a heavy voice.

Something must have happened because...

His face looks devoid of any emotion.

Aether Rodriguez a.k..a Morpheus, joins the battle.
