As I entered the laboratory, Shirone jumped off my shoulders and ran to Kuroka. I knew it was her since she was the only Nekomata in the room. The other two presents were men, devils, and they were the "king" and his assistant.

He's a high-class devil? Are you serious?

His level is lower than the Cuckold Brothers I've encountered before. Even many of his parameters are lower than the low-level devils.

No matter how you look at it, it doesn't look like he's taken any of those paths to the title. He doesn't have the power of a high-class devil either.

There is only one possible solution: He has that title because he is a leading member of the Naberius family.

I'm approaching Shirone and Kuroka, the last one is shaking, maybe because of the drugs they've given her, she seems to be very weak.

Kuroka's looking at me. I can see the doubt in her eyes, and once again, I can sympathize with her. I had seen my hopes shattered before when the first humans I encountered nearly killed me.

Tears are beginning to form in Kuroka's eyes. That's right, cry, and get it out. Let out all the negative emotions you have inside you, let out all that you have suffered these last years.

My body trembles as I feel the energy he's giving off. Kuroka seems to have noticed it too, as she's retreating with her sister.

The two Nekomatas are trembling.

They are more sensitive to the energies than I am.
