Chapter 10 - Master Stage Weapon

As the princess went back, Glaze was finally alone for the first time since he got here.

Let's take a look at what this system shop is, he thought.

*ting*

*You have unclaimed rewards*

Unclaimed rewards? What are those?

*You have a reward from the system for leveling up for the first time*

*Blood River Blade - Master Stage Sword: Absorbs the blood of the enemy and heals your body and mana*

A Master stage weapon? So I can use 1/4th of its power. That should still be much stronger than anything I currently have.

As he kept the sword in his inventory, he took a look at the rest of the stuff available in the System Shop

*Assassin Magic Book - Beginner ȧssassin magic that can be later upgraded once mastered and can kill enemies multiple levels higher if not detected: Cost - 100000 Gold*

This isn't very useful for someone like me but I can give this to my underlings, maybe make a team of ȧssassins? that should be very useful.

*Divine Slave Magic - Can enslave anyone under your level whose mind is weakened. You can track that person anywhere and contact them and kill them remotely. This doesn't affect their mind or hypnotize them but their life is in your hands. Cost - 200000 Gold*

That's very useful and more expensive than Assassin magic.

I'll take these for now and take a look at this later when I have more gold.

As the days passed, the news of Lord Glaze Lockhart, the newly summoned hero who killed a Level 25 Expert Stage monster while being only at Level 10 spread throughout the Kingdom, and the fact that he gained 3 Levels straight away and became Level 13 added fuel to the fire. The entire Kingdom was in a huge uproar. The common people were happy that they were now protected by a strong Hero. The nobles, on the other hand, were on edge, because along with that news, it was a piece of news that greatly disturbed them. The newly summoned Hero seemed very close to the Crown Princess.

The common people didn't care. But for the nobles who cared so much about bloodlines, did not like seeing the Crown Princess with mixed blood gain so much power. They wanted to bring the Hero to their side instead. Though most of the people thought this way some nobles who were on the sidelines started to shift towards the Crown Princess knowing that the Hero was on her side.

And thus the scheming began.

In the past few days, Glaze was visited by many nobles, many of them asking him to marry their daughters, not to mention a lot of girls would be willing throw themselves at him. After all , Glaze was a rather good looking guy with purple streaked hair and was terrifyingly strong for his Level and the fact that he was the Hero made all the girl's fantasies spin out of control as they imagined him as their dream guy.

Glaze was getting used to his new magic and abilities in the past couple of days. Leveling up was a lot harder than he expected, considering he had to kill beings that were 10 levels higher than him every time he wanted to level up, which would undoubtedly become a life and death fight. Even though he would gain several levels he would still need to risk death if he went head to head with someone 10 levels above him.

He was slowly getting used to the Blood River Blade , it was truly a powerful weapon , just taking it out caused a huge amount of pressure to descend on everyone around him and made the area blood red, being a Master Level weapon it was one with magic, though he couldn't use its full capabilities and area of effect magic, every strike created a river of blood that would kill everything in its path while restoring his mana and health.

This resulted in creating the new skill: Blood River Blade Level - 1

He was really curious about what could this already powerful skill do at a higher level.

Princess Charlotte became closer and closer to Glaze over the coming days and was spending most of her time with him. Glaze also managed to break her stance on those nobles down and fanned her hatred towards her father.

"Ara ara, Lord Glaze, your swordplay has improved so much in just a few days," said Princess Charlotte sitting on the sidewall of the training grounds within the Palace while looking towards Glaze who was practicing with the Blood River Blade, with an admiring gaze.

"Ah, it is all thanks to you Princess for guiding me", he said as he came towards her.

"As expected of a hero, carrying a Master Stage weapon at the Novice stage, this should help you a lot in leveling up considering you need to fight stronger opponents," said the Princess.

"Yeah, it's quite a pain to level up even though I gain multiple levels at once," said he sitting by her side.

"We don't know if you have to kill the enemy by yourself completely, what if you just need to take the final blow taking his life? I could just burn someone around my level to half death and you can rapidly level up by easily taking its life," said she bringing her hands together with a lightbulb expression. "Fufu, leave it to this onee-san, you'll level up in no time"

"Haha, that's a brilliant idea, your highness, I would love to try it out but I don't want to trouble you too much," said Glaze with an awkward smile.

"Ara, you are being too polite, after you did t-h-o-s-e t-h-i-n-g-s to me that night," said she with a shy expression

" I just touched your hands, why are you being so shy at that, Your Highness? " said he with veins popping on his head.

"So it was nothing for you Lord Glaze, are you the type of person who would just use someone and cast them aside, you are so mean," she said crying with fake tears.

"Ah, that's not what I meant, alright, I'll count on your help in leveling up then Princess," said Glaze reluctantly.

What a troublesome Princess.
