We didn't have to walk long for us to get to the Science class, only down a corridor and up some stairs into a new corridor before we were in the Science Section of the school.

Mr. Parker turned to us when we were outside the classroom, "Now, I'll tell you, these kids may seem a bit...odd but I'm sure you'll get on with hem as long as you put up with that, okay?" he cracked a smile before opening the door.

"Hello hello, I know I'm late but I had to pick up two new transfer students...so please try and make them feel welcome, okay?" the room was full of noise which nearly drowned Mr. Parker's voice out but something about his voice seemed to override every other noise in the room.

When the class heard what he'd said, they all slowly started to quieten down which led to Mr. Parker motioning us in with a hand.

Miles seemed a bit frozen, so I gave him a 'little' push into the room which led to him nearly falling flat on his face. He quickly glared at me, with a small bit of confusion in his eyes.

His glare quickly faded off when he turned to see a classroom of people looking back at him. Some with mirth, some with disdain and others with indifference.

"Haha...what a first impression, huh?" Miles scratched the back of his head, trying to make fun of his tripping but all he got was silence, "Okaaay, moving on...my name's Miles Morales, nice to meet you all!" once again, silence was the overall reaction for the class.

A hand landed on Miles' shoulder who turned around, seeing Mr. Parker, "Don't worry about it, kid, they take some time to warm up to people," he looked over to where I was, urging me to walk in and introduce myself.

Whelp, here it goes...

I walked into the classroom garnering quite a few stares like always but I could definitely feel less annoying stares than I normally would. I looked around the class and saw a few people who looked at me with curiosity but that's it. I guess you could say they were purer gazes than I normally received?

Anyway, I stood next to Miles and Mr. Parker, once again showing my massive height for a 15-year-old. Most would find it intimidating but with the charismatic smile on my face, it'd be better to say most people found it strong.

"Hello, my name's Michael Fortis, nice to meet you all!" a confident voice came out from me, wanting to make the best impression I could for some reason.

I scanned through the classroom, noticing a few things that caught my interest.

"Okay then, where to seat you...where to seat you...Ah!" Mr. Parker was biting his thumb, thinking where to put us before he turned to us, "You two, you can both sit at the back next to Miss Marie and Miss Stacy," he ended this by pointing over to the back table with two girls on it.

Seeing the girls, I gave a mental celebration. Mainly because one of them had a fringe of pure white hair and the other looked like the real-life counter-part to Gwen Stacy from Spider-verse. If I was right, the former is Rogue or Anna Marie and the latter is, like I said, Gwen Stacy.

Without waiting for Miles, I walked past the first few tables and toward the empty seats next to the beautiful girls.

On the way, someone did try and trip me up but I simply stepped through their foot throwing them off their chair, "Whoops," was all I said, not looking down at them, before walking past and sitting next to the auburn-haired girl with the streak of white across the front of her hair.

Miles soon caught up to me and sat next to the skater-chick who was on another side of the Table and opposite me.

"Not cool, dude! We should've walked over together!" Miles glared at me before whispering this at me. Though it was hardly a whisper as I'm pretty sure most people heard it.

I just shrugged at him, "I didn't want you dragging down my image...who wants to be friends with the kid who nearly fell over by walking into a classroom?" I teased Miles who went a bit red.

"Yeah, but you pushed me--!" he was going to carry on but laughter from the platinum blonde beauty next to him caught both of our attention.

By now, everyone else in the classroom had started speaking while Mr. Parker sorted out his messy notes and got ready for the lesson.

"So, do you two know each other or something?" the blonde-girl smiled while looking between the two of us.

I smirked before looking at Miles who saw the look and rapidly shook his head. But I still said how we met, anyway.

"Well, Miles here was about to walk into a locker, so I stepped in and helped him. He was obviously so grateful to me that he begged to be friends with me, so I benevolently accepted~" I spoke in an overly grandiose way, obviously joking which caused a snicker from Gwen while Miles--

"Shut up, you idiot! I didn't beg you to be my friend, it was a mutual arrangement. Yeah, that's it. We're both transfer students, so it was only natural to become friends," Miles spoke in a self-assured way which made me laugh a little.

"Alright, alright, calm down buddy, I was only messing with you," I leaned over the tabled and gave him a slap on the shoulder, just like...just like Thor...Oh my god, has the student become the Master?!

While I was thinking about this, Miles was rubbing his shoulder, "Damn, dude, you need to learn how to control that strength of yours, it hurts like hell..." which caused a surprised look to float onto Miles' face as he thought about what this meant - he shouldn't be able to get hurt by a normal person's slap, right?

Gwen seemed to find our dynamic amusing and started to laugh again, "You two seem pretty interesting...wanna hang out at lunch? I could show you around the school if you want?"

Hearing her brought both me and Miles out of our thoughts. Miles instantly agreed so both he and Gwen looked at me.

Gwen seemed to have an expectant look in her eyes when she stared at me. This caused me to smile, so I thought, why not tease her a little?

"Asking us out to lunch without even introducing yourself? Don't you think we're moving a little too quickly?" I teasingly smiled before putting a finger on my cheek in mock thought.

Gwen went a little red but recovered incredibly quickly, "I guess you're right...my name's Gwen Stacy, it's nice to meet you...Now, do you want to come with me and Miles?" her light red blush came back a bit.

Wow, she really is a looker, huh? Ice blue eyes, pale skin, platinum blonde hair and from what I could see from her clothes, a toned and athletic figure...Is she Spider-Woman in this universe as well? But that doesn't make sense...Unless there were multiple spiders--!

My line of thought was cut off when Miles waved his hand in front of me, "Helloooo! Anyone in there?! You gonna answer the question, Michael?" realizing I'd left them on the edge I smiled apologetically.

"Oh, sorry, I was just thinking of something...Anyway, yeah, sure I'll have lunch with the two of you but..." I turned to the girl sat next to me, "Why don't we make it a whole-table thing? What do you say, Miss Marie, wanna come to eat lunch with us?"

My question seemed to catch her off guard and she instantly looked quite flustered, with an unready look on her face and a red blush creeping upon her cheeks.

"I w-wouldn't want to intrude or anything," her southern drawl mixed with her slight stuttering made me think she was really cute.

"What do you mean intrude? If I thought you'd be intruding, I wouldn't have asked if you wanted to come, now would I?" I added a wink and my usual smile. For some reason, I really wanted her to come.

Maybe it's because I know who she is...or it could be because I wanna get closer to a cute girl. Who knows~

Anyway, she began to blush and looked a bit hesitant but surprisingly, Gwen came in and helped me, "Anna, just come have lunch with us, what's the worst that could happen?" when Gwen said this, Anna seemed to go into thought before lifting her head up and moving her fringe out of the way.

"O-okay, I'll come have lunch with you guys..." she had a cute smile on her face which made me think of a kitten - I just wanted to protect it.

Her green eyes seemed to be filled with a lot of happiness, which alerted me a little. I knew Rogue didn't have a good life, well, for the most part, but she shouldn't be this happy over having lunch with people, right?

I pushed that thought to the back of my mind as I continued to speak with Gwen and Miles, while occasionally trying to get Anna involved in the conversation.

Before I knew it, Mr. Parker had sorted out the lesson after a few more minutes or prep and he instantly called the class to attention.

"Okay, listen up, class! We're gonna be doing some practicals today. So, partner up in fours and get the equipment out and set it up, you're going to need this," he pointed to the whiteboard next to him where he'd written everything we needed down, "and don't forget the safety goggles!"

Seeing the perfect number on our table, we all agreed to team up before we each went off to get the equipment for the test.

One thing was for certain - I couldn't wait for lunch.

{A/N - Okay, the blushing and getting flustered isn't them falling for his (ironically) devilish good looks, no, it just them being flustered around an attractive guy. The same way I'd be flustered around a beautiful girl is she was asking me to have lunch with her.

Next chapter will skip the lessons and get to lunch, then we'll have the special class to look forward to~}
