Chapter 9 - Help! Bonk!

"They're not horny? Ah! I forgot…" Albert gritted his teeth.

[You can reflect on your mistakes later. Focus on defeating them first.]

"You're right. Even without it, I can still bang their heads a few times to kill them." Albert agreed without hesitation and put his mind back into the fight.

Seeing the two goblins charging at him, Albert maintained a fair distance between them and kept moving left and right, trying to fight them in a one-on-one situation.

The goblins had trouble keeping up with Albert's movement.

Albert waved his Bonk Bat and struck the goblin's club, resulting in another stalemate. He jumped to the left again as the goblin managed to loop around its friend and struck him.

With the goblin hitting the soil, Albert used that chance to deliver a kick on its head.

Bam.

The goblin rolled two times on the ground and came to a stop. On the other hand, the other goblin tried to push him back.

With only one foot holding his entire body, Albert ended up tripping to the ground as the goblin pinned him down.

Not wanting to stay in this position, Albert kicked the goblin's stomach and launched him away. He hurriedly stood up and raised the bat to the left as the other goblin had already arrived and attacked him.

Albert stepped back and regained his distance from the goblins while thinking, 'Goblins are normally the lowest rank, right? How the heck can a goblin become this hard to fight?'

[You simply have no basis in fighting. You have too many wasted movements and you are full of openings.]

'I never learned to fight before… What do you expect?' Albert clicked his tongue.

[If you complete ten bonks, you will be rewarded as follows.]

Mission: Complete Ten Bonks. (4/10)

Reward: Bonkmanship

'What the heck is this Bonkmanship?'

[Just like Swordsmanship, you will acquire basic Bonkmanship. This should be able to fix your posture and fighting style.]

'Can't you just give it to me?'

[There is a rule that I can't break. It's not possible.]

'Tsk.' Albert clicked his tongue and cursed. 'Why do I need to make an effort if you can give it to me… But since there's something like a rule, I will understand it for a bit.'

[Thank you for your consideration.]

Albert had been talking to his system while fending off the goblins, wanting to acquire something that could help him defeat these goblins. Unfortunately, he didn't get anything and started thinking of another plan.

He took a deep breath and struck the goblin's club with all his might, trying to send it flying.

The goblins, however, were stronger than he thought as they managed to withstand that strike.

After that, the two goblins surrounded him from two directions.

Albert used the tree in his surroundings to hide again and let them strike it. Then, he moved toward one of the goblins to hit him on the head.

As if they had understood Albert's attack pattern, the goblin avoided it by throwing himself backward. The other goblin saw this opportunity to sneak in and strike Albert's bat from below.

"!!!" Albert truly never expected the goblins would become this creative and his bat was blown back.

He managed to tighten his grip at the last moment, but without the bat in front of him, he became vulnerable to the goblins.

As expected, the goblins wanted to attack him, so Albert panicked for a second and kicked the first goblin on the back, sending it to the second goblin that wanted to go through the gap.

The two ended up colliding and crashed into the tree.

Albert's condition wasn't that good either as he dropped on his butt with his hand feeling numb.

"Kh…" Albert gritted his teeth and said inwardly, 'The goblins are learning my attack pattern? How?'

[This is not a game.]

That statement made Albert frustrated as he realized he had underestimated the goblins. He hurriedly turned around and ran away, changing his strategy.

The goblins hurriedly chased him. Although their height was only half of his, they managed to cross the woods better than Albert, making him unable to escape.

'It's not enough?' Albert thought another way and realized. 'If I can't defeat them and can't run away, I will just bring them to someone who can defeat them.'

Aran appeared in his mind as he thought the goblins shouldn't pose trouble to Aran.

He wanted to go to the road as soon as possible so that he could run away from them.

However, the goblins didn't let him have such an easy time as they caught up to him.

Even though Albert already saw the road only thirty feet away from him, he still needed to turn around and block the goblins' attacks.

After that, he continued running away, not planning to deal with the goblins.

"Just a bit more!" Albert ran as fast as possible, coming out of the forest.

"Yes." When he passed the last tree and reached the road, he couldn't help but shout happily. With this, he should be fine because he had the advantage in running speed on even ground.

Little did he know, the worse had yet to come. He might drag someone into this fight when he came out and he really did.

"Ah?!" A female's voice echoed in his ears.

When Albert turned his head, he found a blue-skinned cyclops standing in front of him. She had short black hair, one eye that opened wide due to the shock, and a body bigger than him.

However, he also underestimated the horniness of the goblins. When they saw the female cyclops, their instinct got incited as they became excited.

Even Albert received a notification from his system.

[Horny Targets: 2]

[Bonk Bat is amplified.]

The goblins suddenly turned their heads again as if feeling something dangerous. The moment their eyes intertwined, they felt "death" was coming from those bloodshot eyes.

They never thought Albert would release this kind of pressure so suddenly.
