The moment both sides heard the instruction, they all ran forward while shouting to boost their morale.
"Kikii!"
"Attack."
The two sides clashed with each other as Albert was still running behind many people since he had no idea how to fight in a huge group like this.
To his surprise, the battle turned out to be a one-sided annihilation.
The adventurers, whose levels were far higher than the goblins, immediately slaughtered them.
'What? There are around fifty people at the very front. They have killed one goblin each and soon make their way to the second goblin… If it's like this, won't it be easy for us to win?' Albert asked inwardly.
His answer came in the form of chaos.
Some goblins surrounded one guy and took him down, resulting in a major disruption in the entire battlefield.
From the gap he left behind, the goblins entered and spread among the people, trying to cause as much commotion as possible.
"What?!"
"They're moving around us."
"Hit them."
"Ah! Don't hit me."
They were trying to hit the goblins. Some managed to kill them in one stroke, while others missed, resulting in the goblins continuing their tasks.
Now that the adventurers were in disarray, the goblins started hitting some of them with their wooden clubs.
'What is this chaotic battlefield? Why are they so disorganized? Weren't they moving forward together? It took only one person to go down to cause this chaotic situation.' Albert gritted his teeth, observing the situation from the very back.
[Please don't think war movies on Earth are real. Only some of them managed to reflect the real situation.]
Before Albert said another thing to Bonkey, he heard a shout coming from the adventurer. "Look. Some goblins are moving to the other side. We need to stop them."
"They're coming to the left too. Requesting reinforcement."
Screams, blood, and corpses started filling the area soon as Albert was looking left and right. Ultimately, he just shouted, "Screw it."
Without any hesitation, Albert headed to the left side of the wall, trying to prevent the goblins from burning their wall.
[Luckily, the wall is surrounded by a ditch and filled with water. It's going to be easy to put up a fire later and the goblins will have a hard time crossing the ditch.]
Albert ignored Bonkey's assessment and raised his Bonk Bat as he stopped right in front of ten goblins.
"You guys are going to become my first targets." Albert thought this was a perfect number for him to finish the Bonk Mission. So, he attacked them aggressively.
The goblins spread around to pass him and probably attack him from the back, but Albert managed to react to their movement.
"Bonk Arrow." Albert raised his left hand as another Bonk Bat appeared in front of his hand.
He felt surprised as he could sense the connection between his hand and the Bonk Bat. It felt so natural to the point he could easily shoot the Bonk Bat to the furthest goblin.
The goblin was surprised and didn't have enough time to block the Bonk Bat. It landed on the chest as the Bonk Bat created a giant hole in it.
Bonk.
The Bonk sound still echoed in his ears, but it just made the goblin experience something worse. With the force coming from the Bonk Bat, the goblin couldn't even utter his last word before he died.
[Bonk Complete.]
[EXP+2]
[1 Bonk Bite is acquired.]
[Killed a Goblin.]
[EXP+1]
"Well, the EXP is basically non-existent now… Whatever." Albert commented for a bit but soon swung his bat again with his Bonk Smasher, destroying two goblins' heads.
After that, Albert was attacked from three different directions by the goblins. The most he could take was two with his Swift Bonk, so he might need to get hit once.
However, Albert had an idea. Instead of waiting to be hit, he went straight to the goblin behind him and hit him.
"Swift Bonk." Albert struck him on the head and launched him to the ditch before running a few steps and turning around. With this, all the goblins would only come from his left and front.
The goblins didn't understand what Albert did and continued to attack him.
Albert snorted and used his Bonk Smasher again to crush them. It took only a few more swings to take down all ten goblins.
At the same time, he received a notification from Bonkey.
Mission: Complete 50 Bonks (50/50)
Reward: Counter Bonk
"Great." Albert smirked as he withstood the pain when the knowledge entered his brain. He couldn't afford to continuously moan or scream because of the pain after all, so he had grown accustomed to the pain after a few times.
After finishing the knowledge transfer, Bonkey asked.
[Why didn't you bonk them first and kill them later? You can finish the other mission too.]
"I know, but…" Albert looked at the other adventurers who had a hard time killing the goblins despite having higher levels. "If I don't eliminate all the threats as soon as possible, it's going to be more chaotic. I can kill normal monsters on my journey tomorrow, so it's not a big deal."
After getting Albert's answer, Bonkey didn't say another word, respecting Albert's choice.
Now that he had gotten a new skill, he planned to use it.
"Well, I know the power of Bonk Arrow now, so I'm planning to test the Counter Bonk and Bonk Discharge."
With that thought in mind, Albert moved forward as the left wall was already clear. He wanted to make a swift sweep from this side to the other side, killing as many goblins as possible.
Before running toward them, Albert asked, "By the way, Bonkey. Do you have another mission from me?"
Mission: Complete 250 Bonks (51/250)
Reward: Bonk Wave
Mission: Complete 100 Slaying Bonks (0/100)
Reward: Bonk Crusher
"Slaying Bonks… Are those…" Albert frowned.
[Yes. You will succeed as long as you slay those horny people with a single bonk.]
"Fine.." Albert sighed as he marched toward the goblins.
