Chapter 107 - Power Up

Albert and Yale were sitting in front of a bald blue-colored ogre.

Name: Shivan

Race: Blue Ogre

Level: 56

Gender: Male

Jail Time: 0 hours

After choosing the slaves, the middle-aged man led them to the room in the hall to meet this man who seemed to be the manager of this place, the slave trader.

"The total is 39 Gold Coins. But since you're buying a few slaves at once, let me lower the price to 37 Gold Coins. If Sire becomes our regular customer, there will be more benefits you can receive." Shivan smiled.

Albert nodded in understanding, knowing that the discount was just bait for them to come back to buy more slaves from him. However, he had no plan to do so, considering he would be living in this town soon.

This blue-colored ogre smiled at the three slaves as he had profited so much from them. Little did he know, their values in Albert's eyes were far greater than him.

"Yale," Albert called his student's name while staring at Shivan's eyes.

Yale nodded and immediately took out their pouches before taking out 37 Gold Coins. "Here you go."

"I've certainly received the Gold Coins." Shivan nodded and glanced at the middle-aged man.

The latter stepped forward and presented three yellow scrolls to him.

Shivan grabbed it as gently as possible to avoid ruining it. After that, he opened all of them and showed them to Albert.

"These are their Slave Contracts." He pointed at the bottom of the scrolls. "If you smear your blood here, you'll be the sole owner of the slaves. There is a small circle next to it. You can press it and their slave marks will apply heat into their bodies to punish them.

"Also, the slaves can kill their masters whether it's from poison or any indirect way. They're meant to sacrifice themselves when needed." He explained the few clauses in the Slave Contracts.

With just a single glance, Albert could see that the slaves needed to prioritize their owner over themselves. And if needed, they would need to sacrifice their life.

After seeing these contracts, he realized corporate slave was nothing but a fledgling compared to this kind of slave.

Still, Albert wasn't going to make a fuss with this term because this was the way of the world. He would treat his slaves in a humane way, but he had no intention of removing the slave.

Yale had told him that the slaves were a big part of the society because they were a kind of natural resource used by wealthy people. So, abolishing such a system would make numerous enemies. He wasn't that bored to make unknown people his enemies.

As soon as Shivan put down the contracts, he used the knife on the table to cut his finger and stamped all three contracts in succession.

The contracts soon emanated a gentle golden glow. As if reacting to the contract, the slave marks also emitted the same light.

For Jessie, the mark was on his stomach, right below his chest. As for Bepe, he had a glow on his back. Last but not least, Irena had her mark on her pelvic.

"With this, the contract is done." Shivan smiled.

"Alright." Albert nodded with a serious expression and stood up, turning to the slaves.

Bepe was the first to react as he hurriedly lowered his body while still looking like a gentleman. "Bepe greets Master."

"Irena greets her master." Irena kneeled on one knee like that of a warrior.

Meanwhile, Jessie was flustered and ultimately dropped to his knees. "Jessie greets Master."

They were certainly unique individuals, so he was pretty happy with what he found.

Albert didn't answer them. Instead, he looked at Shivan and said, "Alright. I'm done here."

"Yes, please. Thank you for your purchase." Shivan extended his hand for a handshake.

Albert shook his hand and walked away with Yale and the slaves following them. The middle-aged man opened the doors for them and saw them off with Shivan.

After that, Albert said, "Yale. I'll leave them to you for now. Prepare their clothes and other stuff before bringing them to our place. I have something to do."

"Got it." Yale nodded.

Before leaving, Albert asked, "I need to know about your elements first. And what role do you want to fulfill if I need you to fight."

As expected from a prideful dark elf, she answered with a slightly high voice. "I am an Assassin. I have good physical ability and can do some scouting too. As for elements… I have fire and ice."

"Such contradictory elements," Albert commented.

"Are you insulting me?" The dark elf raised her tone, openly showing her anger.

"The same as Yale, I guess. He has light and dark elements. Well, either way… Not a problem." Albert didn't react to her anger. Instead, he said with a poker face. Still, he didn't forget to ask Bonkey for confirmation. 'Right, Bonkey?'

[Of course. Bonk is the foundation. Everything is just an auxiliary tool to make Bonk even more powerful.]

'Great.'

Irena was stunned for a moment and decided to step down.

This was where Albert attacked. He stated with a cold tone. "I believe I need to say this to you first, Irena. I don't care about your anger issue. Just make sure that it is not directed toward me.

"I'm not going to punish you over something like that, but I can simply not teach you how to control your elements. Instead, you should direct that anger to my enemies. And I shall take your strength to another level. Understood?"

Irena's body trembled and stopped for a moment. "I need proof."

"You'll see it once we're back."

"Understood." Irena finally lowered her head and took a deep breath.

After that, Bepe finally showed his brilliance. He lowered his head and answered Albert's question. "I'm ashamed to inform this to Master, but I have no experience in fighting. However, I'll learn as fast as possible. As for my element, I have a Water Element. I don't have any position I like as long as I can protect Master."

"Noted." Albert smiled since there wasn't much to say to Bepe. Then, he looked at the timid Jessie, demanding an answer.

Jessie gulped down. Afraid of being punished, he answered, "I have no experience in fighting and I don't have any element. I… I don't know what I should do in a fight."

"Listen here. Have you ever wished to change?" Albert's eyebrows twitched as he placed his hand on Jessie's shoulder. "Have you ever thought of yourself as pathetic?"

"I…" Jessie opened his mouth, but no words came out. He wanted to say he was content with his situation, but he couldn't say it. Deep down, he knew he wanted to change.

"See? That's easy. From now on, never complain. I don't care whether you show me this timid self or not… I only need you to focus on your goal and keep doing what needs to be done. Also, don't forget to put on your makeup all the time. You'll know that this is a gift that you can use to master my power."

Jessie was taken aback by Albert's speech and couldn't help but look him in the eyes for the first time. Even though his mouth and his voice were shaking, he still said, "Yes… Master. I… understand!"

"Good." Albert nodded.

After that, Albert left them, heading straight to the Magic Shop. Since he had a few members, he thought this was a good time to increase his spells for various jobs.

He first claimed all the Bonk Bites from the Horny Jail.

[Bonk Gauge: 2849]

He was satisfied with this number, considering the slime king contributed 1500 Bonk Bites by himself.

His next destination was decided. It was none other than the Magic Shop.

As soon as he entered, the receptionist immediately greeted him. "Welcome to our Magic Shop. How can I help you?"

Albert didn't answer him immediately. Instead, he thought, 'Hmm, I have three new people. Also, Yale needs improvement as well.

'Yale has Bonk Bomb to destroy multiple enemies as long as he can master it. Bonk Dash and Light and Dark Bonk are used for movement skill and attack skill. So, I guess he needs something to support his strength.

'I should teach him Anti-Horny Blessing so when he's not with me in the future, he can release a good might. Also, Bonk Eyes and Bonk Light would be good for him so he can find a horny person and exhaust them. In that case, I don't need to learn anything new for him.

'Then, let's move to the strong one, Irena. Well, Bonk Bomb should be taught to her since the blast will contain Fire and Ice like Yale's Light and Dark elements. But she's an assassin, so I'll give her a movement spell that fits her role. This should be good for me too. As for her attack technique… I'll search for one later.

'As for Bepe, what should I do with him? He has a water element, but since he's my butler, he should be able to fight both melee and range. So, I need a water spell later.

'Also, I need to teach him Bonkmanship for his basic movement. His strength can be improved with his levels, so I can just throw him into the Horny Jail to absorb the energy with Jessie.

'Ah, that's right. Jessie is so timid, so I think it's not good to have him in the front. Besides, there's already me, Yale, and Irena, so it'll feel cramped at this point.

'Bepe can attack from behind for now and support us. Jessie said he has a Magician Job, so I guess this fits his role. I'll find something good for him then. Hopefully, that kid can grow up and act more confidently in the future.'

After thinking for a moment, Albert said, "I need a 2-Star and 3-Star Neutral, Water, Fire, and Ice Spellbooks. Also, 4-Star Neutral Spellbook."

The shopkeeper was stunned for a moment while Albert simply gave him the money.

Seeing the money in front of him, he immediately took out the books and offered to help Albert bring them upstairs.

As soon as he got the books, he started reading them, trying to find good spells that he could teach to his people. This would be the base of his Bonk Legion in the future.

He believed Erica would be stunned when she saw him next with three more people. And these people might even create their own squads and roam to spread the Bonk.

Excitement filled his heart as he couldn't contain his smile. It was indeed hilarious. So, he couldn't mess this up by choosing the wrong spell.

For the current development, Albert finally chose four spells.
