Chapter 185 - Schedule

After seeing Yale off, Albert continued his training with Jessie and the others.

At the same time, the thing he asked for had arrived.

"This is what Her Majesty asked me to give you." Luna humbly handed him a few notebooks to Albert.

"Thanks." Albert smiled and received the books with a smile. He thought for a moment and asked, "By the way, is there any problem with the city recently?"

Luna's face became pale instantly when she heard that question. She misunderstood Albert's intention.

In Luna's mind, the only reason why Albert said such a thing was because he felt something weird about this city and he might need to personally fix it. This would show how terrible she was in controlling this city.

On the contrary, he asked this question simply because Luna had been going back and forth to this place, helping him from news to package delivery.

Since they were going to be neighbors, he thought he should deal with the city's problem to thank her.

"Eh? What happened to you? Why is your face—!" Albert couldn't even finish his sentence as Luna immediately lowered her head, asking for forgiveness.

"I'm sorry, Sir Albert. I am useless. I can't even control this town and make you uncomfortable."

"Wait, what? Can't control this town? I'm uncomfortable? Sorry, what? Did you misunderstand me or something?" Albert was bewildered by her reaction and tried to calm her down.

Though, his words alone were enough to stun Luna, realizing she had misunderstood him.

"Eh?" Luna raised her head and looked at Albert with a dumbfounded expression.

"Since you have helped me so much, I thought I should help you a bit." Albert scratched the back of his head, explaining his intention.

There was a sense of relief and panic in her heart. On one hand, Albert was an extremely important person, so she shouldn't bother him with useless tasks. On the other hand, she had heard about Albert's achievement from the Slime King to the Volcanic Eruption. It was clear that Albert could handle some dangerous missions.

"Ehm…" Luna mumbled, not knowing what to answer.

"Anyway, I think you already know my achievements, so I won't bother to remind you. If you happen to meet a big problem that you think is hard to solve, just talk to me. I'll see what I can do…" Albert waved his hand with a smile. "Depending on the situation, I will handle it personally… I shouldn't have a problem fighting against a 7-Star Magician or equivalent."

"I-I understand." She nodded furiously, feeling relieved Albert was an understanding and easy going person.

"Though, if you have something like Healing Request, I don't mind taking them as well. Currently, I'm planning to practice some healing methods… Though if you don't mind, you can bring me some books about healing. I should have no problem in using 5-Star or 6-Star Healing Spell," Albert explained while recalling the content of 5-Star and 6-Star Healing Spell. At that level, he should be able to fix some broken bones.

"I understand. I'll see what I can do. Is there anything else that you dislike? Maybe what time do you prefer to be visited?" She asked with a serious expression.

Albert thought for a moment and said, "Afternoon… after lunchtime."

Luna took a mental note in her mind, making sure she didn't forget about it. "Do you need anything else? I can bring everything to you."

"Nah, it's fine."

"For now, there's no problem that requires your attention. I will immediately inform you if such a problem arises."

"Sure. Thank you."

"No, no. I should be the one thanking you." Luna bowed her head. Hearing Albert could use 7-Star Spell alone was reassuring in her heart since it was rare to see someone this powerful in this city. There wouldn't be many people that dared to cause trouble if they knew Albert protected this city.

After understanding the situation, she finally left the mansion.

"A boss, huh… Now that I think about it, you would fear someone with a higher rank back on Earth, specifically if you needed money for daily needs. Some weren't afraid because they had enough money to find another job." Albert shook his head. "And now I am the boss… I don't know how to feel…"

He was silent for a while before he returned to his room to study the runes.

"There are two types of runes: Active Rune and Remote Rune. Active Rune is like the Magic Circle while Remote Rune is like a trap that can be activated with some methods.

"Both runes have Offensive and Defensive Runes… It seems there are no binding, movement, or other types." Albert muttered while reading the book.

He finally found the first rune in the book.

Rune: Fire Splash

Effect: Create a blazing fire upon activation.

Requirement: 30 Bonk Bites

"Hoh?" Albert raised his eyebrows, never expecting the introduction rune to be so expensive.

"I have been with Bonkey for a long time and seen so many of his creations… I guess this one will become Bonk Splash and create a few Bonk Bats upon activation if I choose to learn it." Albert smiled as if he could read Bonkey's mind.

Albert thought for a moment and shook his head. "Nah. I should start with the basics first. Unlike spell that I can use easily, I need to draw the rune on the ground or the air depending on where I use it…"

Since he hadn't decided what kind of stuff he needed, Albert continued reading while thinking, 'I wonder if I can find something like Horny Rune or Anti-Horny Rune.'

After going through a hundred pages filled with symbols, diagrams, and runes, Albert finally chose his first rune. It was a rather simple rune but with a quite powerful impact.

Rune: Light Recovery

Effect: Gather the magic power from the surroundings to help the person inside the rune to recover their magic power.

Requirement: 100 Bonk Bites.

"This is it… With this rune, everyone can recover faster! I don't need to hold back when training them anymore." Albert smirked. "By the way, is this counted as healing, Bonkey?"

[Yes.]

"Great. I can make some recovery runes to help the succubus I guess?" Albert smirked. "This way, they can promote it while I'm handling the problem. I don't think Lilith would mind, but I guess I should ask her first."

He continued and picked a few more runes that could help him to get the last job. Although it would be hard to do it, he finally saw some light in getting the last one.

"I guess it's normally impossible for Bonk to use ranged weapons… I mean, the one with a very long range…" Albert let out a long sigh. "I also need to think of my training plan. Although I have learned more spells, I haven't had the chance to use them.

"This way, I don't know what to expect and how I should move after using that attack… It's even more important because there's even a 7-Star Spell. It's quite powerful, so if there's an enemy as strong as mine, I might lose."

Albert remembered the promise between him and Yale and thought, "Well, there are two months. I guess I will focus on my training for two months while completing the missions in the job panels."

After finishing all the books, Albert asked Bepe to meet him in his room as he prepared their schedule.

A few minutes later, Bepe entered the room, stopped in front of his table, and asked, "May I know the reason you call me, Master?"

"How is your body after a few days of training?"

"As expected, I can move better now and I never feel any fatigue while doing the housework. It seems the Magic Power has drastically improved my stamina, strength, and agility. Thanks to Master, I have become strong."

"I guess you know what you should do next?"

"Yes. I need to know how to use this power and learn more about the butler way. I need to know how a strong butler should do his job."

"Well, the latter is more important in your heart, I guess." Albert chuckled.

"Of course. Serving you is the priority." Bepe smiled, feeling happy with just the thought of serving Albert.

Even Albert shook his head helplessly while feeling blessed to have such a loyal subordinate as his butler.

"Anyway, tell everyone that I have made a schedule for all of you. Because Shella doesn't need sleep, she can do the job she used to do in the previous town as long as her daily training is completed."

"Understood. I shall tell her."

"As for you, Jessie, and Irena. You can do anything in the morning, whether as a butler, as a cosplayer, or whatever it is. In the afternoon, you shall practice alone outside the city. Just find an empty space where you can train your spells without holding back.

"In the evening, I will fight the three of you together to see your progress. I'll also send you on a mission from time to time, but the time is uncertain, so you don't need to pay attention to that yet. Just remember the general schedule."

"Understood." Bepe nodded with a serious expression before asking, "Thank you for dedicating so much time for us, Master. Even though you are so busy."

"What busy? I am so free right now." Albert waved his hand. "Anyway, that's all."

Bepe bowed to him before leaving the room. A smile appeared on his face as he knew Albert used all his free time to practice because he had spent so much time to help them.. That was why all they could do was to work hard so that they could become strong enough to help him in the future.
